The items that interested me most were some of the furniture sets, which were "like-new" and "good" being sold at a great price, and the motorcycle jackets, which sold for less than half of what I would pay at Cycle Gear ($50 verses $110+). The staff were super friendly, and the store is organized. One major issue is that both restrooms were out of order. All-n-all this is an ok place to shop especially if you starting in a new home, need some furniture or other household items. As for the clothing, I would save my money for Ross or Goodwill.

The bathroom was very interesting in that they offer a lot of stalls but the handing washing basins are all on the outside, two for the women and two for the men's side.

Today the option choice meats hamburger, veggie burger or hot dogs. The sides were the fixings for the burgers or hot dog, Mac salads, beans. Cole slaw & chips. It was a lovely meeting. Great food, desserts, drinks. The cost for seniors is $3.00. Great to be able to meet up with the group.

The Maxey Community Center is a nonprofit located in a historical building in Winter Garden. The…read morebuilding was built in 1949 as the Annex Theatre and used for the east side African American community. The building closed in 1962 and much later became the Maxey Community Center. This is where the Orange County Community Action Division provides assistance in many areas for the elderly, children and the under privileged. I saw programs listed that assist with vocational training, education and assistance with job placement. I also saw that there was an office for assisting with energy bills and a nice big activity room that was actively hosting an exercise class. I was there to pick up meals to deliver for Meals on Wheels. It's a new volunteer effort of mine and one of the awesome programs running out of this center.

Orlando definitely lacks good venue rental options for larger events, so I'm happy to see this new option. It's located right in front of the Florida Mall, so there was plenty of parking, but they also offered a valet service which was very helpful. I like that it is a 2-floor open concept so you still feel connected to what's happening downstairs, but you're able to break up the crowd a bit. I believe there were about 400 people in attendance and it never felt overly congested. I can definitely see this becoming a popular wedding and party venue and there are so many ways to get creative with the space and tailor it to your individualized needs.
