The Phlebotomists are not experienced enough and cause considerable bruising. This is not normal. Sometimes it takes longer than a week to heal from the bruising. I was only able to give plasma once because I got extremely dizzy and sick during the process. I went with a friend who donates regularly and upon her return the staff mentioned to her how I was messed up for not returning to give plasma a second time. I did not appreciate the lack of patient confidence and overall unprofessionalism of the nurses at this location. I wouldn't return even if my body COULD handle the process and it was not worth the money. I recommend any other plasma place in the area over this one. read more

Go somewhere else. Csl and Biolife both pay a lot more and the customer service is much better. These people will all walk around at a slugs pace while there's a line of people. The other places are hustling when that's the case. They will also tell you one thing over the phone and when you drive all the way there they tell you something different wasting your time and gas and they could care less. People here are really nice and donating experience is good but I wish they showed a little more respect to donors time. I believe they could be more efficient. Sometimes you can see them standing around talking instead of processing donors. Just a little careless in that matter I think. Maybe they're just short on staff, hence this review. I went into Octapharma plasma on 7/4/24 as I usually do every week but to my surprise this visit would be like no other as I would come into contact with 2 of the most unprofessional people I have ever come across at any business or establishment. I was only looking to donate some plasma and earn extra cash but instead I was made fun of, called names, and told that you are not allowed to request assistance from any other staff if you are not feeling comfortable with the person you are currently dealing with as in their words " you can't request anybody specifically to pull your vitals " I was not requesting a specific person, I was requesting anyone else that was available because the person I was dealing with had already put me down and called me names when she couldn't do her job correctly. I was then approached by another staff and was then told I should pretty much " shut up and do what the lady says " ... at this point I was taking the situation serious because there's no way someone could be treated like this NO MATTER WHAT KIND OF BUSINESS YOU ARE IN! I then asked to speak to a manager, it took about 10-15min ( they did warn me it would take this long as the manager was " taking a test " ) well when she finally came to talk to me, I was deferred without after telling my side of the story as no further investigation was taking place and instead the manager had just decided to take sides with the 2 staff that had just disrespected me at the front counter ( she was afraid to do the right thing since she knew it would affect their work relationship. ) I was told I could come back the next day once they do a little more " investigating ". I'm predicting right now that once I go in tomorrow they are going to come to the conclusion that I am no longer allowed to donate because for 1. This review that I am leaving ( I also left 2 other reviews on google that they aren't going to like ) and for 2. They are going to be bias since I had brought up that I had a situation happen at this location in the past . ( that issue from the past got resolved and the lady I originally had a problem with is now the nicest person ever whenever I see her ! ). That just goes to show that when things are taken care of correctly and both sides are actually considered evenly, problems can be resolved ! read more

Well the location and center staff are really great. the time it takes from walking in the front door up to being connected providing information and leaving and take upwards of 2 to 3 hours or longer even for regular donors due to the lack of center staff. Very discouraging considering I'm sure there are people looking for work in this industry and the number of people willing to donate plasma that me walk away from this type of transaction due to the amount of time it takes out of your day. Never again. First try and two pokes later and my bruising is so bad I visited my doctor a week and a half later because my arm is still bruised and stiff. Went to Octopharma's nurse who advised I see a doctor (there goes more time and my money). My doc claims that there is so much internal bleeding (still) that has no place to go that it is pushing on my muscles and tendons and nerves. This was caused by two bumbling phlebotomists. According to my doctor, this will take weeks more to heal and the nerve pain can take a year to dissipate. Worth the $50? Never again! read more

This place is a joke. I wait 40 minutes in line to get my finger poke way too often because there is only one person working. Then today, I get called back to donate, placed in my seat and wait another 45 minutes because the employee who is suppose to be setting me up is either drawing blood from some random person who is not even donating, unhooking someone from there line or setting up an express person who came 20 minutes after me. The person next to me got hook up 5 minutes before I laid down, and is now done donating and getting his line removed, yet I still haven't even been poked. read more

A good place, staff really nice make you feel worthy of donating, the only complaint is I saw multiple used cotton with blood in it, in the bathroom and on the floor, I suggest that they started using bandaid so people don't throw it on the floor. Had to get rough since this is the second time I was left for an unreasonable amount of time with a needle in my arm waiting to be disconnected. I was told by Eileen she had 2 in front of me. When I complained and asked for a manager. She turned her back on me and walked away. I got mad and loud and all management could say was not to yell? 15 minutes with a needle in my arm after finished donating and it wasn't even crowded. Not worth the crappy money to be nice enough to donate and treated like cattle. They need more staff so the floor isn't understaffed with people taking breaks and socializing because it's just a job and don't care. I'm not sure if I will even donate again. read more

So every like 3 or 4 months they freeze your ability to donate. so they can check your protein levels or some shit long story short if ya can I'd say find a different donation center! I've bin to a few and the other ones didn't do this shit. I pretty much donate so I have bus money and get a snack or two only being Abel to donate for 3 months then being pretty much told don't fucking come back until you get your shit up is a total turn off... plus if your like me you call to see if your protein test came back only to have the center staff ignore your calls ‍ They only seem to care about the ones with high protein counts and pretty much FUCK the rest of the people they told me 7 to 10 days for the test but I went in like two weeks ago? Started coming to donate plasma at this center in November. All the ladies here are very personable and friendly and accommodating. This is a very clean facility and they are very thorough with their protocols. I would highly recommend coming to this establishment to donate plasma. The payouts are decent and you get bonuses. read more

Had two decent attempts at donation here (one failed due to flow and the other because my hemoglobin was too low). The people that work here are seriously the sweetest bunch. Super thorough and informative and just kind! They also work so well as a team - when my veins were being difficult the first time, other coworkers didn't hesitate to come over and help. I totally appreciated them. Just docking one star for the manager guy who "attempted" to help find a vein too - everyone was so sweet and then this guy comes to breathe down everyone's necks and spew the most uncomfortable, condescending instructions and laugh (you know that "laugh") when they responded. Been here 4 times it's been a good experience every time. The first thing I noticed was that the facility was clean and it wasn't skethcy like some of the other plasma center's i've been to. It seems like they care about who is donating. The staff is always really friendly I always hear people having friendly conversations with the staff. It's really cool to make some extra cash donating something that could potentially help save lives and they do it in a professional way here. I also like how it's not appointment you just show up and every time i've been there hasn't been a line I don't have to wait at all i just drop in whenever i have an exta hour. read more
