This place is a 51 minute drive from my house in suburban Minneapolis and I chose to go there when it was snowing and the roads were slick. At some point it was like I was in the movie Fargo, a road in the middle of nowhere. But once I got there, they were friendly and efficient. They got me my half a hog quickly and stacked my boxes in my car. Couldn't have been easier. They had freezers and refrigerators full of other meats and cheeses, cheese trays for parties, one guy was getting smoked salmon that looked really good. read more

Even though it's a bit of a drive from Minneapolis, their Tarragon Brats are worth every bit of the hassle. Their meats rival any you're going to find at the farmer's markets or any specialty butcher shop, and the prices are very competitive. I'm a big brat fan, and I've tried several different kinds for several different places, and these are easily the best. Their ring bologna is also worth mentioning, which is always requested by my cousins in Colorado when I visit them. The only downside is that they close at 1 pm on Saturdays, which is unfortunate, but it's usually not too tough to make it in time. read more

I have been going to Odenthal Meats for years. I buy a half cow or pig from a family friend and have it processed here. I also get my deer meat processed into deer sticks and summer sausage.....I have never had a problem with anything. They are family orientated and polite. It is a drive but they are sooooo worth the trip. read more

The owner and staff are exceptional! I have my own meats mixed and processed there. the prices are reasonable and the staff does a great job.
