This is a fantastic course (especially if you're a vet) you just can't beat it. There are 1 or 2 fairways with minor drainage issues but this isn't the pga tour. Bunkers are always well maintained and the greens are pure. read more

Been playing here since it has opened. Never had any issues until last two times we booked. Online is was listed as $50 a player with screenshots to prove, and showed up tot he course and had to pay $62. Pro shop person was of no help. Starters were of no help, and we told we needed to talk to the pro. The pro was no where to be found. Very disappointed on the extremely poor service we were provided. read more

Not my first choice. Management continues not to spend money on many bare spots and horrible drainage. It is listed as a charitable foundation. management is not a charity. Be sure to call after minimal rain if it is cart path only and then bring waterproof shoes. The price is decent. read more

Course is an absolute crime scene. Fairways are dead and brown. Standing water on half the holes desire no rain for weeks. The rough just off the fairway Cleary had not been cut in a long time despite it being a prime summer Sunday. Water in most of the bunkers and the ones without it were still unplayable. The carts felt like old farm tractors. Gas, loud as hell, no gps, awful brakes. It was a dog track in every sense. The place was absolutely empty on a Sunday mid morning and we found out way. Insanely expensive ($85+) for an awful course. The fair price is maybe $25. Worst course I have played this year and I've played 20+ courses all over Chicagoland. I really wanted to like this place but it just flat out sucked. Guy in the pro shop was nice at least. read more

Played here this morning. Been playing here for years. So this morning we had a 6:55am tee time. We arrived roughly at 6:30am went to the starter he said everything was on time. So as we sat and waited to start someone from the pro shop came up and said to put this foursome in our 6:55 tee time and back us up. Normally wouldn't mind but these gentlemen were not very good. Within 4 holes they were 2 holes behind the group in front of them. We asked the ranger to speak to them to pick up the pace but nothing was done. On every hole we had 2-3 groups waiting. This was one of the worst experiences I've had there. I feel you need to have your people follow the rules. We made tee times paid our fees and were then treated poorly. read more

Played here on Friday. Above 90 degree weather. Course has no water coolers. There are 2 "fountains" on the course. On this day only 1 worked properly. The working fountain, spouted hot water. The snack shop was closed, so no water options there. We saw the cart girl once. My point in this is, how in the heck does the service of a course ignore the need for basic food and water on such a hot day? I bring this up with the course manager, an older gentlemen, and he has no interest in finding cold water for the course. The two dysfunctional fountains are supposed to do the trick and he didn't even seem to know that the snack shop was even closed. He basically had no regard for my complaints here. The course is very average. In fact the greens are mostly brown. The rough, in many instances, is a high brown color making it very hard to find your ball in plain site. Our crew, which are pretty good golfers, lost more balls than we wanted simply because the rough edges were so light brown that it literally camouflaged the balls. I have a groupon for this place that I still haven't used - on the strength of that I'll probably come back to get my money's worth, but my time here on Friday was pretty sad. read more

I preface this by saying that I've been going to The Odyssey practically since it opened. And this was the last time. I had a tee time on Sunday, July 23. We've had horrible rains lately, so a lot of courses are flooded. So when I called the day before to make the tee time, I specifically asked about the course conditions. The person on the phone said, and I quote, "It's a little soggy. Cart path only today, can't say about tomorrow". I can handle a little soggy, which usually means that you'll squish in spots on the fairways. Fine, let's book it. Driving in from the main road takes you along the 10th fairway. There's a pond on the side of the fairway. We see that it's extended across the fairway. So when we get to the pro shop, we ask about that. They say that, it's cart path only, and there's standing water on 4-5 holes. In retrospect, I should have asked more questions, but we were there, and wanted to play. So we took him on his word. Well, the actual conditions were that there were new ponds of standing water on 4-5 holes. And there was standing water on all of the first 11 holes, and I stopped paying attention after that. My drive on 10 landed in the middle of the fairway in that extended pond, which ended up being so deep that I had to abandon my ball. And, to add to that, I emailed them after the round that I understood why the course was a mess, but did not appreciate being lied to, just to get people on the course. I wasn't asking for anything, but was hoping for some kind of apology. And they never responded. Which means to me that they just didn't care. In any event, take what they tell you with a grain of salt. They're not interested in your satisfaction, just in receiving your greens fees (which, by the way, were not discounted for the poor conditions). read more

i was signed up to golf at the course on 06 sept 2021, the group had 4 t-times . i got to the pro shop and talked with a mr. Ryan no sure if that the correct name, asked about the amount they charging he said it was 63 dollars i informed him the person in our group that made the t-times saidm it was 50 to ride and 35 to walk. He immediately told me he didnt care he told me that its was 63 to ride and no walking on the holidays or weekends. I the inquired about the closest to the pins markers he asked if i had registered to get them i asked can i register now he said no and he had given them out and i could not have them because our group didnt consist of 30 players. I asked about a discount he stated no one get discount on holidays or weekends. This person was very unprofessional and rude. ronald read more

Played here this morning. Could be a really nice course. For $63 I was expecting it to be better than it was. I really like the setup and surrounding scenery. Some fairways were really beat up. Additionally, some tee boxes were not in the best shape. Greens were fine but again, a lot of goose poop. Until they can maintain a little better, I'd say it's worth $45-$50. I would play here again. read more

Probably the worst public course I've played in the Chicagoland. Aside for overcharging for a poorly manicured course (dead tee boxes, awful scenery, ponds that have a raucous smell and some parts of the course that should be under repair but aren't) I spent 5 hours playing a round of golf. After the third hole I went to find that starter as there were two groups already piled up behind my group and two groups in front of me. I mentioned it would be a long day if we didn't get moving and after some back and forth about what pace of play means, he reluctantly went ahead two groups to see what the hold up was. Sure enough, it was a group that started drinking around 9 am who he told me had more than an entire hole between them and the group ahead of them. He said they would play faster. Obviously they didn't pickup the pace. The next time I saw a ranger was on the 14th hole. That's right, 11 holes later I saw my first ranger who wanted to know which group was backing up the rest of the course. Alas, this is didn't pickup the pace as the 16th hole par 5 played at a turtle's pace of 35 minutes have four groups on it at one point. After my round I stopped by the Pro Shop to see how long a round typically plays. I was told about 4 hours. After I told them my round took five hours and that I only saw the starter and one ranger, all they said was "sorry" and went back to doing nothing. Not just poorly maintained but poorly run. Also, you have to pay extra to hit off the grass instead of the mats at their range - which is a complete eyesore. I've golfed all over in Chicago and you can play at much better facilities in this area. I'd recommend Ravisloe or George Dunne which have comparable prices to this "Country Club." read more

I'll be succinct about this review because I was not too fond of this course which seemed to have gotten worse over the years. Pros: Nice challenging holes, especially from the tips; the price was decent at $35 with cart; Cons: Lots of goose droppings on several holes, greens were OK, not too fast or slow but very bumpy and not true. They only sold hot dogs on the day I was there. You've got to be kidding me!! At least go to 7-11 and get some sandwiches or something for the customers. One review said they don't care about the golfers here and I would have to agree with that. I would not go back unless the price is dirty cheap. 2 1/2 stars. read more

This is a really nice course. Greens are great and fairway well managed except for the goose poop (too much- course needs dogs) Tthey don't seem to manage outings very well especially when members of the outing show up late. Also the , when things get backed up and there are 3 twosomes and a foursome all waiting , I would expect the ranger to see this and act. Also when players don't understand play eddicut , and the problem being explained to the ranger, I would expect the ranger to do something more than just say "yeh, well there's not much you can do about that". read more

First time I've played here in 10 years . I don't know what happened but this course is in horrible shape . The greens are torn up and the fairway is a mess. The rough resembles bug infested swap with high grass. The fee was still too high for this dump. This used to be a nice course but now looks like they are going out of business. For some reason you now can only enter from Ridgeland Ave., which is a huge pain in the ass. Stay away ! read more

Overpriced at $61 and not well maintained. They should warn people who book tee times the course plays worse than a Chicago Public course. The fairways and greens look like a truck drove through the middle of the course, the tee boxes were all aligned in the wrong direction, and the carts were very slow. Nice layout but weeds growing in the bunkers. The dandelions are like a foot and a half tall. Balls get lost in the ruff I'm talking the first cut. The greens are in very good shape. So I won't be back. read more

This review is just for golf. A really nice course that is not taken care of. Never seen so many weeds on a golf course, ever. Lots of ground under repair on the fairways, but no work being done. Sand bunkers, basically now cement. Tee boxes and greens were ok, hit it anywhere but fairway and you will not find your ball due to the 8 to 10 inch second cut. If you can get a cheap tee time, sure.. but the regular price not even close to being worth it. read more

The course is extremely run down...lots of giant wheel marks from landscaping equipment, not golf carts. So clearly they don't care how run down it gets. I only play here if I can get it on golfnow for under $20 with cart... read more

This review is for the golf course. Do not bother coming here unless you have 7 hours to play a round of golf. Booked a 2:40 tee time on a Sunday and got to play one hole in 40 minutes. The second tee box had a five group backup on it with no end in sight. Poor design having a par 3 as your second hole. At least have a starter pairing groups up and a ranger moving all the "big hitters" playing from the tips hitting worm burners 50 yards at a crack. Horrible design and even worse management. read more

Golf Review. Paid full price at $66 and scheduled a 6:30am tee time on a Saturday. The guy in the pro shop paired me up with one other guy and said we can tee off when ready. No starter. They do not cut holes in the practice green. Carts are old but have gps. Tee box conditions are the worst I have ever seen. Rough is not cut often enough. The grass is very yellow so it's difficult finding your ball even if your just off the fairway. The greens were ok but the areas surrounding the greens are an awful mix of weeds and unkempt grass. I guess the moral of this story is there are plenty of courses in the area at this price point or at a cheaper price point that are in much better condition. I mean, your neighbors yard, you know the one that doesn't take care of it, looks better than this course. I am not embellishing. They should be embarrassed but Hey maybe they are really struggling. Oh ya and it goes with out saying at this point but the bunkers are just terrible. Also, there is a lot of "water" on this course but quotes needed as it looks like chalky windex solution. Spend your cash elsewhere so they start taking better care or shut it down. read more

Probably the worst course I've beeg on all year. The fairways tee boxes and greens were beat to hell with some greens near death . The rough was longer than US Open rough but only because it probably hadn't been mowed in a month and the sand traps were hard as rock in most and if any sand it was very shallow.. On top of all of that , our round took almost 5 hours to complete . Not once did we see a ranger on the course to check on back ups or encourage a quicker pace of play. Seems as if they cut their maintenance and starter/marshal/ranger budget. It's really too bad because this used to be a nice place to play. We've played our last round here. Plenty of better options nearby. read more

I planned on playing 18 holes last Saturday and had an 11:30 tee time. They over booked their tee times and we did not start until noon. THREE hours after that we finished the front nine. Ridiculous. We headed straight to the parking lot and left. read more

I just finished a round of golf here and I have to say that this is one of the nicest courses in the southwest burbs. The course was in fantastic shape and the layout was very nice with the signature hole (#16 i think) being a true island green . Very nice place. read more
