I've visited Off the Hook multiple times and it's consistently good. On my most recent visit, I tried the catfish and shrimp box, which comes with fries and hush puppies, and I added the étouffée on the side. It was pretty good, but I've enjoyed some of their other items more. I've had the Bon Temps burger, and I also tried the onion rings and swamp fries on the side. The chicken wrap is another favorite of mine, and for dessert, I really like the T-Boy Toast. Service is always good and it's a reliable spot when you want a quick, filling meal. read more

Exactly as expected. Newer restaurant area chain attempting to serve seafood and other "cajun" style selections. Food was hot. But for a shrimp poboy, there was more bread than anything. Full of bread and toppings - least filled with......shrimp. 7 shrimp. 7. They put a small amount of the actual main item on there to cheap out on the poboy- and I'm not letting them "off the hook" for that. The fries were OK. Atmosphere - fine, no complaints Service - fine, no complaints To clarify more, the food was not bad for taste and freshness. It's the portion and value that's the issue here. If I am going to spend $16 for a seafood lunch, I'm going to stick with Portside or B&J. Way more value and better - they will kill Off the Hook in time. I will not be back. read more

It's drive through seafood. Don't expect anything good. It's greasy and overcooked. The gumbo is disgusting had to throw it out. Don't waste your money. Passing thru Hammond and Cajun fast food sounded somewhat intriguing. Clean, contemporary dining area, counter service with self serve ice and drinks. The place had a familiar vibe; think a Louisiana/Cajun Zaxby's. We had roast beef Po'Boys, but no sides. Passably good. Might be better to try shrimp, fish, or chicken platters. This place recently opened and I've already been 3 times. I was sold right away on "LOUISIANA SEAFOOD"! Knowing the seafood is from Louisiana is great. Obviously at busier times with a longer line you will have to wait just like any other place. I've also gotten my food in 10 minutes in the busy drive through at lunch time. Everything I have tried on the menu is delicious! The burger was surprisingly amazing, it is a sourdough bun. It's all good, give it a try SHA! I see many more stops here in my future!! read more

Everything we had was good. The flavor of the fried food tasted like going home. It was a little slow but that's ok because the good food.

Chain restaurant serving mediocre Cajun food. Tough bar to meet in Hammond. Long story short. Fast food caliber fare cooked in grease that in my case was definitely past due to be changed. The catfish "filets" were very small and more accurately are pieces comparable to a large chicken nugget. Not so much. It was a holiday and everything else was closed that offered similar food but it was what I expected frankly. I've had better fried fast food at Popeyes. Three stars might be generous. read more

I did an online order. It was hot and ready when I got there. It was not busy at all. The is pretty good. It's seasoned well. The outside seems franchisey but the food seems more home cooked. I wrote this without trying the bread pudding first. So be mindful of that. It looks different from traditional N.O bread pudding I'm used too. read more

Absolutely loved this cajun comfort food delivery! As a glutton for seafood, would have certainly loved more crawdaddies but the swamp fries and etouffee were off the charts! Got the rice on the side but ended up throwing it all into the etouffee and had my tongue tickled and eyes rolling back with every bite. The swamp fries rounded out the perfect mid-September fat Tuesday for this happy guy and will definitely be trying more items from this glorious establishment soon! read more

Ive been eating from this place for a year or more. Never at any time that I've been going there buying the gumbo and asking for extra meat since they dont put that much to my liking in the bowl, has anyone told me they couldn't do it. I wasn't a fan today. My burger was undercooked, no utensils were included and none of the four meals had the sauces. No ranch for the fried green beans, no tartar sauce for the seafood. After seeing the crazy long drive thru lines at this location, my family and I decided to stop and see what the excitement was about. This location has just recently opened, and seemed to draw a crowd. We went in and there was also a line inside with several people waiting on their orders there as well. We ordered several menu items, including the chicken & shrimp platter, a couple of shrimp Po Boys, hush puppies, and the bread pudding bites. The shrimp Po boys tasted okay. The platter seemed to be a much better deal for the amount of food you get, it also tasted just okay. The fried seafood is basically average. Nothing outstanding. But the standout here was the bread pudding. It came in a nice sized serving and was delicious. I decided it was worth returning and standing in line for. So, I returned to get this item again. I waited... and waited... and waited. But happily did so for this desert. I received my to go pudding and returned home to be terribly disappointed. I opened the container to find the bare minimum inside. I literally looked back at my pics from our first visit, just to make sure I wasn't mistaken about the previous serving. Inside the current container was 2 and 1/2 small pieces of bread pudding. As opposed to the full container I received on my first visit. The fact that it stood and waited so long for this really upset me. I live too far away to return it. I was just upset & dissatisfied. I'd driven 20 minutes in the rain just to buy it. I recently ordered a roast beef poboy and it appeared darker but I thought it might've been the batch but to my surprise it tasted completely off, lacked flavor, and was just downright disgusting in my opinion. I have now been to this place twice both times I cannot believe how good the food is for being a fast food restaurant. They have taken the best of everything That Louisiana has to offer in food and put it into a fast food restaurant. But not just a normal fast food restaurant. It is the same type of food that you might find in Commanders Palace in New Orleans, Emerald Lagasse's restaurant , and John Folse's Bittersweet. The crawfish étouffée is phenomenal. The red beans, and rice reminds me of the recipe from "The New Orleans cookbook". Best cookbook ever written. The seafood gumbo and chicken and sausage gumbo are fantastic. So thrilled this place opened up in Hammond. For being counter service it was very clean and there was someone monitoring the dining area for cleanliness while we were there. Everyone was friendly and the food was surprisingly great. We had the fried green beans, onion rings, gumbo, and the fried shrimp plate. It's hard to find fried green beans and I'll definitely go back just for those, but everything else was also fresh and seasoned well. Can't beat it for a $30 lunch for 2! read more
