That's how we found out about Craig-Air, as they were the recommended local provider by them. We haven't always had the best customer service from our warranty management, but most of their contracted providers, once engaged, have been good. Craig was way better than good. We got a call from them first thing in the morning after the home warranty verification, saying they could be right out. We asked "how soon was that"...the technician, Mark, said "ten minutes". He was there in EIGHT. He quickly diagnosed the problem, replaced a part, and then explained to us what had happened and how it caused the water leakage, in layman's terms we understood just fine, and was in and out. I really appreciate the speedy service, the quality and efficiency of the work, the courtesy, but most especially, I appreciate the value added of Mark explaining to me the process and remedy without talking down to me as a non-mechanic homeowner. He didn't have to do that, even though it was only a few more minutes of his time. A company with professionals like Mark is a company I want to recommend. I'm including a picture of their business card he left!

I have a Sears Warranty Program Contract, and after having two no-contacts from D AND S HEATING AND COOLING (No word from in almost 72 hours) and Malherek's Heating and Cooling who just failed to answer their phone, even after telling the Sear Service Rep they would get to me and resolve my heating issue. How do they stay in business when treating customers like this in beyond me. In any event Craig as was contacted by a Sear Warranty Rep and immediately stepped up in response. Jenny from Craig made it clear that I should contact her ASAP so as to find out what was going on. I did so at the suggestion of the Sear Warranty Rep, and the rest was a major surprise. Jenny told me that might be able to get a serviceman out in a few hours, but that it could be the next morning. Fine by me since I have been waiting 3 days to hear from anyone at D AND S Heating and Cooling to no avail (two phone calls and two voice mails later). They were actually able to get a serviceman out that day. He was very very professional, and did a quick job at assessing the problem with my furnace. Within and hour I was back to having heat once more. I want to say thanks to Craig-Air for being about the business of Heating and Cooling. They made me have some confidence in the fact that there are a reputable HVAC service in the area that cares enough to quickly contact a possible client. Side joke of sorts: After the rep from Craig-Air had restored my heating and been gone about 15 mins. I get a call from D AND S asking if I need someone to come out. I basically told him already taken care of (No thanks to his company). Their excuse for no call backs: My number showed up as SPAM. Not sure how but I ask them did they ever bother to listen to the voicemails I left...Basically a BIG NO as he didn't even bother to check!....AGAIN, WHY IS THIS PLACE in Business?...DAys LATE and dollars short at that point. I'll never use D&S HVAC to work on anything. Anyway if you guys need HVAC work and lots of other stuff done..See Craig-Air in Troy, Illinois @ 618-624-8722 and let them give you a quote as well.

We had some minor issues and they came back immediately to fix everything. They have a great warranty system and all their parts are made in the US, so they're not affected with supply issues like parts made overseas. Everytime I schedule an appointment with them, I immediately get a text message and email notifying me of the appointment. Additionally, as soon as a technician is on their way to my house I get an email and a text message with a photo of who is on their way, their photo, and a short, personal snippet of information about the technician. It makes me feel like I know who is coming over.

He came out and speed diagnosed what was wrong, put on the new part and surprise, that didnt fix it. more looking around, decided it was as control board and he would have to find one. A week passed and as of Thursday At 5:30pm, no part but he would send me the tracking number. Didn't receive it. Friday at 7:19am, I receive a text that he will be out between 3-5pm. He arrives, spent about 15minutes and comes to the front door and asks if I've got cool air. I couldn't feel any coming out but he is taller than me and reaches up and says, yeah it's cooling off. Then he high tails it out of here. I'm in the kitchen which we put a window ac in during all this so I assume it's cooling down. My husband comes in and walks into the living room and says it's hot in here. The thermostat showed it hadn't cooled off any. I immediately texted him, no response. I went on line to my home warranty company and reported it, which showed it as a recall. Saturday morning I contacted the home warranty company and they called the contractor. He told them it would be the next Friday before he could get back here. I told them it was unacceptable. By Monday, I did not receive any confirmation from the tech's system that even have an appt so I called home warranty again. While I am talking with them and not getting any where, my husband comes in and hears what's going on and says I will go outside and see if he even replaced the part. He comes back in with pictures. The part has not been replaced, there are still cobwebs that are undisturbed on the screws and the exterior panel has not even been completely put back on. Home Warranty company is reviewing the pictures and looking for someone else that can get out here asap.
