She is effortless in her teaching, and speaks as if she's a friend guiding your body from shape to shape. There's no pretense to her presence, just authenticity and a true passion for what she does. I moved away from a very strong yoga practice and community back home at a studio I adore, and this place already feels like home away from home. The practice space: Thoughtfully appointed with a laid back feel, it's a perfect space to flow. The ceilings are tall, light is abundant, and there's plenty of wall space for an end-of-class legs up the wall savasana. Juicy. Lots of plants and greenery, plus wood and gauzy curtains that lend a very breezy energy. At a glance appears to have space for 15-20 mats (give or take). Logistics: There's one restroom shared by a few wellness businesses in the communal hallway. Entry to the space requires walking up a flight up stairs - there's no elevator that I've been able to find. Parking: Ample street parking - and directly across from Schnucks, so it's perfect to get some weekend or evening grocery shopping done after class. Extras: The community seems to interact with one another and know each others names and faces. Very friendly studio, options galore. Lots of options given and all levels of experience in class. Can't wait to keep coming back again and again!

As a single guy, I'm always a little apprehensive trying a new yoga studio as I've been to some that have been cliquey. But not here!! The energy is great from everyone! It is well priced for the studio atmosphere and the classes. Their website and accompanying app are easy to use and classes are easy to schedule. Big Bend Yoga is basically a little house whose attached garage was remodeled to fit lots of bendy and trying to be bendy bodies. I've been both bendy and non bendy in the Center, depending upon how often I attended class. I've taken classes with nearly every instructor and though all their methods are different, I found all of them very calming and helpful. They are always eager to help you modify your poses due to injury and work around painful habits in order to free up your body. There is a massage room or two in the place, though I've never had any done here. Classes are $12, though you get a discount for buying a card.

Their location is right off the Clarkson and Baxter intersection just west of Clarkson by Total Wine. There is ample parking right out front. Upon arrival - beautiful entry way that is very welcoming & soothing. Staff is very accommodating and provided details on where to go & expect. I also fortunate enough to meet the owner - April - both days. Drop your shoes up front and you can get situated in the locker room. There are cubbies for your things, space to shower (towels on site), bathrooms and a peaceful space to get ready. Water is available for purchase ($3) on site. No phones in the yoga studio. The yoga studio itself is plenty large to accommodate several yogis, the lighting is low and brings a great vibe. I have taken both a Detox Hot and Detox Warm class and loved them both. Felt challenged yet relaxed. $10 new client offer and $30 for 30 days offer if you love it. Come find me if you do!

They all have their individuality and quirks and if I want a core workout we can focus onn that if I want a gentle one I choose gentle flow plus the drop in at @ $10 are a plus (going to $12 in March but still a steal). They have stuff to borroww if you don't have your own. It's clean quaint and I've brought friends. They are literally changing lives one pose at a time. The receptionist is friendly and helpful. I was referred to Maegan by a friend and have been seeing her for Acupuncture regarding fertility. She is professional, thorough, and has been very kind working with me and our schedules not always matching up. I would highly recommend her except that she is already so busy and hard to schedule with lol! No seriously, she is awesome and you should see her if you are looking for an acupuncturist. Once you cross the bridge, turn left at the stoplight. There is a gas station on your right, but turn left. While turning left, make a quick left once you pass the bridge. Go up the steps to find the studio. It's on the left. Another option is to park behind this building and go in through the gym that's there. I didn't use this entrance so can't share details. Inside is so very nice and clean. The Pilates equipment is in good shape and appears to be new and well taken care of. My instructor was a sub but she was excellent. I'm a couch potato with many physical limitations and she was willing to help me and provide alternative exercises. The other class members were so encouraging to me. I felt welcomed. I will definitely return.
