I wasn't hopeful that the problem had a solution. I was immediately greeted at the Apple Store and within 5 minutes, Josh had started looking at my phone. I did not have an appointment for the Genius Bar, but the guy in the front took my info down, and told me it would only be about half an hour. I wandered off, and in about 10 minutes, I received notice that my appointment was ready. The guy helping me was super thorough and knowledgeable. He confirmed what I already knew - that my iPad needed to be replaced with a new one. Fortunately, I could get a trade in amount of $190, so that helped substantially with purchasing a new one. The apple "genius" (maybe Andrew?) ordered my new iPad mini, went and got it, took my payment, deactivated my old one, set up my new one, and scrubbed the old one. Altogether it took less than an hour and I was on my way, easy peasy. I don't use their services often, but it's nice that they are available if I need to.

It was very busy, I…read morewas planning to spend over $ 2,500.00 in new phones and other items plus I needed Apple Care Support for my damaged iPad Mini. The first green shirt guy was very dismissive an d pointed to Felipe. He said he was the guy to help me. I waited in line to talk to Felipe but when my turn came someone just stood in front of him and Felipe talked to her for a long time. Finally it was my turn, but Felipe was very busy so he made an appointment for me to comeback in 1 hour (5:00 PM). I went on to other errands and came back early at 4:30 PM. When I finally got his attention he told me it would be 20 minutes before he could see me. He went on to take care of a good looking woman as if I was not there. She did not have an appointment but she had a great figure. I think Felipe felt his time was better used helping the attractive woman. We waited for over 25 minutes at which time it was already passed my 5:00 PM appointment time do I told him I was leaving. At 5:55 PM I received a message that Felipe was ready to see me. This was almost an hour after my appointment time. Apple founder, Steve Job, must be turning in his grave every time an Apple employee treats a customer this way. As a Luxury brand Apple customer service sucks. I have invested through the years over US $ 50,000 on Apple products from their first iPod or their G3 Computer to an endless number of iPhones, iPads, MacBook Air, Apple Tower for my daughter's Photography business and IPad Pros for our Wellness Business. However, Apple does not track their loyal customers like other Luxury Brands do. As an example AMEX knows every time I call that I have been their Platinum customer for the last 40 years. Patel Phillip takes me to a special office and offers me Champagne while I wait for their sale associate to bring out the goods. Even My Subaru dealer knows me and goes out of its way to make me feel comfortable while I wait. The attitude at the Boca Raton store must be a reflection of a poor store manager or badly trained associates. Or even worse an example of how T Cook has lost control of the Company. I think his firing is well deserved as he has damaged the brand by allowing their customer service to fall into such level of disrepair. I will buy my wife's phone at the ATT store and make another appointment to get service for my iPad mini at this store. I dread the thought but that is what a monopoly comes down to. Treating your best loyal customers like cattle w/o regards for how much they have contributed to your bottom line.

But I was nearby, desperately needed a new iPhone, had a gap in my schedule, and decided to roll the dice. I'm glad I did. First off, the location is incredibly easy to find, especially since it's right near the Bloomingdale's entrance at The Gardens Mall. No wandering through endless corridors wondering if you accidentally crossed into another county. The store itself is exactly what you'd expect from Apple: spacious, bright, sleek, and somehow engineered to make you feel poorer the longer you stand inside it. I was greeted quickly and paired with help almost immediately. Since I already knew what phone I wanted, I expected the interaction to be fast and transactional. Instead, what really stood out was that I genuinely felt served instead of sold to. That's an important distinction. The two employees who helped me were professional, patient, and extremely knowledgeable. They walked me through the purchase process, transferred the data from my broken phone to the new one, and even helped with the switch from my phone carrier... which isn't even one of Apple's preferred vendors. And not once did I feel rushed, pressured, or upsold. Yes, they guided me toward a phone case and charger, but it felt consultative instead of sales-driven. More like, "Here's what would actually work best for you," and less like a timeshare presentation disguised as customer service. Considering I walked in expecting stress, complications, and possible regret, the entire experience was surprisingly smooth and honestly kind of refreshing. Whatever experiences other reviewers may have had, mine was absolutely a five-star visit. Also, my blood pressure survived the iPhone purchasing process, which may be Apple's most impressive innovation yet.

I owned an iPhone 15 that was still within Apple's limited warranty period. The device exhibited severe and abnormal battery drain, rendering it unusable after only several hours of normal use. I contacted my wireless carrier, T-Mobile, and was advised that because the device was under Apple's warranty, I should seek service directly from Apple. I subsequently visited an Apple Store for warranty evaluation. Apple personnel informed me that there was "no issue" with the battery hardware despite the abnormal battery performance. I contested this conclusion based on the device's real-world behavior. Apple representatives asserted that the issue was caused by "software" rather than a hardware defect and recommended that I perform a complete device wipe and reinstall all applications from scratch before Apple would further address the issue. This proposed remediation imposed a substantial and unreasonable burden, requiring several hours of uncompensated time and disruption. I declined and noted that if Apple's diagnosis were accurate, then a newly purchased iPhone running the same operating system and applications would necessarily exhibit the same battery drain. Apple personnel did not provide a substantive response to this point. Because Apple refused to repair or replace the device under warranty, I purchased a new iPhone at my own expense. I installed the same operating system version, restored the same applications, and resumed the same usage patterns. Under these identical conditions, the battery drain issue did not occur. The replacement device functioned normally. This outcome directly contradicts Apple's stated diagnosis and strongly indicates that the original device suffered from a hardware defect that should have been covered under warranty. Apple's refusal to honor its warranty caused me financial harm and forced the replacement of a device that should have been repaired or replaced at no cost. I am concerned that Apple's conduct reflects a broader practice of attributing hardware defects to nonspecific "software" causes in order to discourage or avoid valid warranty claims, particularly where the proposed remediation imposes an unreasonable time burden on consumers. If systemic, such practices may constitute unfair or deceptive acts or practices under Florida's Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act (FDUTPA) and undermine the purpose of express consumer warranties.

They have two security guards outside you present yourself to them and they assign a line for you to stand in. Mine was the service line. A tech came outside took my name and my description of myself. I then was directed to stand in another line. After a very brief wait I was waited on. We walked over to an empty table standing across from each other and I explained the problem she verified the problem then told me my options. The repair was to replace the whole display screen. I was under their service agreement so it was no charge. She told me it would be the next day it would be ready. She then excused herself and came back and said they can fix it today. Could I come back in an hour. I arrived back and was greeted and told to have a seat outside. A tech came out reviewed my repair and I requested they replace my screen protector which they did. Great screen protectors are not cheap but worth every penny.

After waiting 15 minutes, no one ever arrived. Several employees appeared unoccupied, yet no one stepped in to assist. When I asked about the Vision Pro demo, I was told to return at 6:30 despite the demo area being unused and the store relatively quiet. Ultimately, I left without making a purchase -- even though I had come ready to invest in multiple new Apple products. The lack of initiative and attentiveness from staff was disappointing, especially for a brand known for its customer experience. I guess it doesn't matter when the paycheck comes either way, but it's frustrating as a loyal customer to be ignored when ready to spend thousands.
