I called to find out about exchanging it, and learned that there's a 25% charge to exchange a new item. This means that for a $250 dollar chair, I'll be paying $60 to exchange it and buy a more expensive chair. This really does not sit right with me. I think a policy unusual like that it needs to be verbally stated to the customer prior to sale. This policy pretty much sours my good feelings about TOPS; to return a new item with tags on two days after purchase, for an exchange, should not cost 25%. Management should consider the impact of this policy on customer feelings.

I felt their curbside delivery was a bit slow compared to the order fulfillment acknowledgements. At the same time, it was tax-free back-to-school weekend there was a a steady if slow stream of foot traffic while I waited the 10 minutes or so for my order to be brought out. I got a steal of a deal on the masks, which made it well-worth the wait. I'm not sure what the in-store experience is like, but I am happy enough to try them again.

I was wearing a Pittsburgh Steelers jersey and Penny let me know she was from Pennsylvania and we had a great talking about that. As I was being helped, more customers came in, and Penny and Robert started announcing peoples names when they came in. Customers were smiling, cracking jokes, and Penny remembered dogs names when they entered the store. They both made the store feel like a community of people rather than just a a place you go to run an errand.
