I wanted to give a huge shoutout to Penny & Robert. I came into the store today, and when I entered it was just myself and Penny & Robert. I was wearing a Pittsburgh Steelers jersey and Penny let me know she was from Pennsylvania and we had a great talking about that. As I was being helped, more customers came in, and Penny and Robert started announcing peoples names when they came in. Customers were smiling, cracking jokes, and Penny remembered dogs names when they entered the store. They both made the store feel like a community of people rather than just a a place you go to run an errand. Both of them fostered a an environment that would make me not only want to only go to this fedex store specifically for all my shipping needs, but to even pop in to just say hi to both Penny and Robert!! read more

This is my go to place for printing documents. I mean, who actually owns a printer?! The ease of uploading documents and the option to have them print and you pickup. Or get a code and head straight to the printer when you arrive. Both are easy and simple. Most pickup orders were done within 24 hours. The documents all come out as anticipated and accurate with the number of copies. For the four pages printed today it was $3.08. I think that's a good value but others may not. read more

FedEx has become useless! I had a package going to this Austin location delivered by UPS. They refused the delivery even though they offer 'hold for pickup'. It is impossible to reach the stores directly now and even their chat agent was no help. You need a FedEx tracking number to proceed. See the problem? It's coming from UPS to FedEx so you go in a circle. There's no way to get a human agent anymore which is the basis for my complaint. You have optimized yourself right out of being helpful for your clients, shame on you! read more

Service was horrible. Walked in and was ignored while the staff spoke amongst themselves. When I finally asked why I still haven't been helped after standing at the desk for so long, there was a lady named Penny that was incredibly rude. I was asking for help shipping documents and paid for the label online, but she said she wouldn't print it for me. She walked away for no reason, and as I got an incoming call when she walked back up she left again and said she'd help me when I wasn't on the phone. Really just making it clear that she didn't want to help me at all. And yet none off the other employees stepped in to help either. The service at this location has been hit or miss. In the past come I've had no issues and arranging delivery of packages for my small business. Most recently there was an issue reading one of the barcodes for my packages and it was marked as return to sender. This ended up not being a major issue, but certainly was an inconvenience. I've also had Signs and Banners made for business purposes and the quality is generally good. The staff are helpful and have even offered to assist Beyond closing time on one occasion. The pricing is competitive as you would expect. read more

If I could give 1/2 star, I would. Their delivery service is lacking in delivery. The latest is: they delivered my very expensive order to THE WRONG ADDRESS. MANY times before packages were never delivered. Of all the companies I order from very few are fedex. but the ones who do use fedex rarely show up at my door. "we couldn't find the house" yet I have had 2 other deliveries. They are completely incompetent!! I can't believe they're still in business. Don't bother trying to "chat". This company is completely incompetent!!! For THREE DAYS I contacted customer service and NO ONE could fix an address correction. Finally on the third day of not being able to deliver the package, FedEx contacted me to fix the address. The next day I contacted them to make sure it had been fixed and they didn't even put the correction in!!! Even though they called me finally to fix it!!! Use amazon!!! I called this location to ask about the associate about the best way to ship a specific item (crazy right? I called the shipping place to ask that) Anyway, she (working on 08/26 at around 6p) tells me she can't answer that and has to transfer me to customer service - I assume someone else in the store? Nope, the 800 customer service, so I wait for 20 minutes to chat with someone and they get me taken care of in 1 minute. Sorry to bug you with shipping questions you shipping associate. Efficient, well communicating staff. They were speaking with clients as they were waking in and keeping everyone up to speed on their ETAs for customer service. My parcel was expedited in an efficient and timely manner and packaged with care by their staff. Seems like they operate at a higher level than others I've visited, my only concern, as is with most downtown businesses, is that there is no private parking, only street parking. FedEx has definitely lost its way. Package was misdelivered to my home in Austin. I spent 2 days calling Fedex customer service centers (overseas). I explained the situation multiple times that package was delivered to my home to addressee that doesn't live there; my last call to Fedex involved an approximate 30 minute "interogation" of me to determine the particulars of my situation. All I wanted to do was have FedEx pickup a package that didn't belong to me and take it to the correct recipient. Fedex picked up the package 2 days later. On the 3rd day FedEx redelivered the package with additional labeling that included my name and address which I can only presume was due to the fact that they "interogated" me on the last call, took my information and then redelivered back to me. I then took the package to the FedEx on Congress in downtown Austin. I spoke to a supervisor/asst mgr. She was rude, curt and made me feel that I was really wasting her time. Heres the story: I get shipped an item (twice) IN the product packaging- retailer slapped a shipping label on the box- happens to me 2x a week. I go to return said item and Samoan smart-ass at Fedex tells me i cannot ship in the 'original product packaging' and to "tone myself down"... WHAT!!!???? I didnt even... One star off for the encroaching corporate FedEx silliness, but a great staff wins out. I have been getting things printed, copied, mounted and bound here for a long time, since before Kinko's became FedEx Office. They do great work at reasonable prices and they are within walking distance of work, so they are my go-to spot especially for quick jobs. The website can be a bit confusing for online ordering, but the staff, many of whom have been here for a long time too, make it easy to do business here. They are quick to fix mistakes, comp items if there's been a mixup and willing to work under tight deadlines when needed. I like the people here, so much so that I can forget it's now part of the big FedEx borg. Personal attention and friendly staff make all the difference for me. read more

Why can't this place be open 24/7? Maybe it's because they're afraid drunk people would run in and steal their erasable pens or something. This is the one place I can't stand that I keep coming back to again and again, just because of the location. It's messy, busy and the employees are thicker than two boards nailed together. Oh yeah, and the end of the plastic pen thing that you use to sign the screen for credit cards - it's broken. "Just use the ridge of the pen," the weary Kinkos employee said. I work in a cafe and we don't tell people to stir their coffee with their fingers when we run out of stir sticks. No biggie; I'll deal, but there are better Kinkos out there. Thanks to this store I'm having a nightmare. Spent over $400 USD sending a suitcase to Mexico but....Oppss Fedex personnel never told me about that I would need a customs external agent to release the suitcase, that I have to pay extra for that as well as another $150 required by customs..oh and I had only 5 days to get the suitcase from them....and because all that the suitcase is now marked as "abandon". BTW the store Manager Mario did not care much about his employee lack of knowledge/training about international shipments so talking to him was less than useless. Bravo!! read more

Called ahead and asked to email over a spreadsheet of 66 addresses for shipping labels. The girl I spoke with on the phone said that was fine and that I could come by and pick up the shipping labels and packaging. When I came by, she said I needed to let them handle the packaging and shipping. I had to go back to the office and grab all the shipment items. When I returned, she acted surprised and said that I could have an account created and type in the addresses and package all the items myself, there was no way for them to handle it now. She then handed me 66 envelopes and that was that. Why would I pay 1000+ dollars to ship with them, and they don't even care to help make the process easier. I promptly took my business over to the UPS Store on Brazos and 9th. They tag-teamed my shipment and got it taken care of quickly. The lack of customer service at FedEx was unacceptable. read more

I have no clue how this place doesn't have 5 STARS! Jesse and the whole staff saved my ass when posters weren't ordered correctly. They were printed as paper posters and not on foam board (not their fault) and they dropped everything to mount them on board backing. $305 later and a bag of gummy bears, everyone was happy. Stopped in here to buy boxes, and get FedEx Ground forms and instructions last Saturday, when wrapping up our exhibit booth at a conference. Got the wrong form and instructions from the guy working there, which ended up costing us an extra $268.00 in shipping when the hotel filled out Express forms and shipped the boxes to me after I had already flown home. Called in to discuss the situation with Farrah, and got a lot of attitude and rudeness. She said she'd talk to the manager, and call me back. 2 days later, still no call back. I called corporate and they credited me. The girl at this site, Kelly, is great. But the guy I dealt with, and Farrah, are responsible for the 1-star rating. read more

Just went in to scan an 8 page document. Self serve and it was $13 due to the archaic equipment and Internet connection. The scanner wasn't working properly, so would be more than one document. The woman (Nicole) who was initially helping me said she would show me how to create it as one document when I was finished scanning. I went looking for her 3 minutes later and she was at lunch. The gentleman behind the counter said she would be back in a few minutes. Well, I'm paying by the minute! I figured it out, but it took forever to email the document to myself because of the slow speed. No wonder you pay by the minute. The same employee was unable to help a woman who was in self-serve and repeatedly said "I don't know how to do that." Incompetent employees and a complete ripoff. read more

If I believed in giving As for effort, then...no, wait. The FedEx store still wouldn't get one. Now, Brenda's a nice lady. So is her manager Lori, her assistant manager Stephanie and the menagerie of employees of various skill levels working in the store. Thing is, it took me two visits and nearly two hours to send a document FedEx ground to Houston - while being assisted by these folk, who as I understand it are "professionals" when it comes to things like sending documents to Houston. Indeed, Brenda and her friends were persistent about their blame of "the system" (which system, I'll never know) when it came to the repeated difficulties I faced shipping my document. Phillip, a customer service rep pissed me off. I was next in line to ship a very important package when Phillip approached me and told me I need to fill out a package airbill while I wait. While I did this 4 other people walked in and got in line. None of them had to fill the same paperwork. So now I had to wait an additional 15+ minutes while they got helped. What finally got me even more mad was the fact the paper airbills are not being used anymore for anything other than address entry. The four people that now I had to wait on had their information entered directly into the computer, while I lost 15+ minutes in line because Phillip decided to make me fill out the airbill that was handed back to me after the transaction. Phillip needs to be retrained or procedures need to be changed at this location. read more

Had to call multiple times and customer service line took over 1.5 hours to get in on the lines and was still very very unhelpful. Both times I have been here around lunchtime there has been a small line (wait times in the neighborhood of 15 min). Having used FedEx locations elsewhere to print projects in design school, I know that there is no limit to the types of disaster that can befall even simple printing jobs -- which is why I'm compelled to write this review. Most of my experiences with this FedEx have been simple and painless, but my last was really excellent. I needed a few sheets of double-sided business cards on my own cardstock, and a very nice employee walked me through the entire process of using a bypass and selecting the right paper weight on one of the self-service machines. There were no mistakes, which amazing by itself. The print quality was flawless and -- surprise! -- even the registration was near-perfect, which is no small feat. So many people complain about places such as these when things go wrong and they may be justified, but this was definitely the most perfect small-scale printing experience I've ever had. Definitely has the nicest and most helpful staff (better than the Post Office). Helped me ship several packages, and gave advice on cheapest way to ship, and how to combine shipments. FedEx will ship skis in ski bags (bubble wrap them, then put them in the bag). Dispense tape free, unlike Post Office. read more

I come in to print out the Boss Monster preview and their copier botches halfway through the print job, AFTER I've paid. So I tell the lady at the desk and they promise they will refund me any money I have to pay to reprint the portion of the job that didn't get printed. So I print out the pages that didn't print out and go to the front desk and they only take three bucks off what I paid....which was fourty bucks in total (twenty for the initial print and about eighteen to reprint the pages that didn't print). I go into lengthy discussion about how that isn't right and that in total the whole project only cost me twenty and I was merely reprinting what didn't get printed, and they were convinced I printed out more sheets than I had in my hand despite buying only eighteen card stock sheets, which I was holding in my hands in front of them. After about five minutes of trying to explain to them how counting works, how their print jobs are actually calculated, and how they were breaking their word to me, I gave up when they just wouldn't budge and left. Seriously, I got shafted on a small project. Don't go here. read more

I was in Austin for a conference and had to do a poster presentation during it, but I didn't have time to print and ship the 40 x 36 inch full color poster while I was home. So I trekked over to Kinkos. The staff was friendly and asked me when I needed the poster by I said the "day after tomorrow," the team member said "we can have it by 4pm today." When I went to pick it up it was done and the colors on the poster were bright and sharp, and a true match to what I had designed. The price was even excellent given the turn around time. read more

I use this place quite a bit for work-related stuff, and generally don't have a lot of complaints. I was very surprised and disappointed at the service and number of available and working machines during this year's SXSW, when there was a huge demand for their services. The message I got was their management did not care about their popularity during this time. So I'm starting to used Office Depot at 5th and Lamar as an alternative, which is not terribly busy in their print shop. read more
