Needed to buy a 4" wide 4 place acrylic literature rack. Although the customer service was great (they sent me right back to where these were located), I was shocked and disappointed to see that for one little piece of plastic...more than $28. Ridiculous. So, as much as I try to support brick and mortar businesses, went home and bought 3 of them from Amazon...for $32 and change....about $11.50 each or nearly 1/3 as much. Wow. I want to give a huge shout out to Michelle at Office Depot. I had bought a display model printer just about a year ago; it quit so I had to return it. I was not really sure what to do and Michelle took care of everythig, even though it was more than an hour of her time just for me. She called Square Trade for me and got them to honor my claim; when Square Trade would not refund all of the amount of my purchase, she and Office Depot went ahead and covered it. This was amazing customer service that I have not experienced anywhere else. I highly recommend Office Depot in Marysville - thanks for all your help! read more

As a teacher, I try each year to get there for "Teacher Appreciation" days. To me, it's something of a joke. Yes, there are deals - but there are similar ones out there and I don't have to drive as far OR wait for their "special" days just to purchase. I wish they would just call it what it is "Back-to-School" sale. If they REALLY wanted to show appreciation for Teachers - don't limit the items to such a small amount. In my case, I have anywhere between 130-150 students A DAY. Giving me a 10 folder limit is a joke. (Keep in mind, I DO NOT get reimbursed for my purchases and the IRS limits deductions to $250 a year.) I understand "supply and demand" so do something like the first 10 folders 1cent, after that charge 5-10 cents a piece OR 1 penny for each $5 spent! If not - then don't call it "Teacher Appreciation" - it's just a sale folks. The other point I'd like to address is customer service: not only could they not find the "free tote" bag, they didn't give me my cash back OR a receipt because of all the "excitement" that was going on looking for the "free bags". I understand human error and I'm not mad at the cashier, I get it. But, I had to drive back to the store when I caught the error (which was not convenient) - you think the manager would have profusely apologized for my inconvenience and offered me some sort of "discount" or coupon, or SOMETHING. (like "go ahead and grab some more folders" - we're so sorry.) This is the last year I wait for "Teacher Appreciation" Days to buy my supplies. It's just a marketing gimmick - call it a "Back to School" sale and quit insulting us. read more

I wish I could give zero stars for customer service. I have tried their printing and shipping department three times. Printing was either wrong size or poor quality. Customer service is clueless. It took me 3x as long to ship from there than the post office. Phone service at the store and also online is slow and clueless...please remind me never to darken the door of Office Depot again. read more

Dropped off a lap top for tech service and were told it would be ready in 2 days and they would call when it was done. We did not hear anything and after 5 days called the store and were told we had to pay a tech fee before the tech would release the lap top. We went in to pay (this is during the stay home, stay safe order) and they said we could come back in 2 hours and pick it up. We returned in 2 hours (trip 3 to the store) and when we got it home we realized that part of the power cord was missing. Called the store and they said they would ship it. The staff was very apologetic and seemed to want to give good service, there just seems to be a huge, huge communication gap between the tech, the staff and the customer. I got the feeling everyone was over worked and under paid. So sad to see folks really wanting to help but not having communications and resources to do so. I doubt we will ever use Office Depot for anything again. So much easier to order supplies from Amazon and there just has to be a better way to get tech service. read more

Worst customer service from their printing department. I was at a town and needed things printedso that my father could pick it up I wanted to prepay for it and just email them the graphics not only would they not let me prepay they told me if I did not come in and wait for an hour that it could not be printed. So I called and emailed OfficeMax and had my dad pick up what I needed there will never use Office Depot again. read more

Walked in to have some copies made for a court case, the two women behind printing counter took more than fair share of time before (rudely) asking me what I needed. Body language and tone should be a good indicator of their unwillingness to work. She told me that she didn't have time to help me, and that I could do it myself on the self-service machines. Both machines were occupied by customers and both of them were complaining about the machines malfunctioning. The one woman seemed annoyed that any of us would even dare to ask for help from her.....as if it were her job or something to provide customer service! I then proceeded to gather my papers and go elsewhere, explaining to the ladies behind the counter that their attitudes show, and she was clearly uninterested in doing what her company pays her for. As a person who has worked all types of jobs, it's extremely upsetting to see people have attitudes like this in a customer service position. If you don't want to help people I suggest a job that has zero interactions with customers. read more

I went here to finish up my school shopping with two days left and only a few of the harder to find items left on my list. I find them with ease and go to the checkout. There is roughly 5 people in the line including myself. Another counter opens and a lady says I'll help who's next for about ten seconds no one moves so I think to my self if no one will take it I will. I go over and the clerk starts checking me out. After getting half way through my items the manager (Dina), comes up and says actually she is the next one and continues to have the clerk void all my items that have been rung up side note all I had left to do is pay for the items. Then has me step aside so they can ring out the lady. All while the manager stands right there. She finishes her and the clerk starts ringing me up again all without an apology. After I pay I turn to leave and see the original line is completely empty and the manager Dina had to flex her little bit of manager power and single me out and waiting my time leaving me feeling like it was because I was the only guy there. Nothing like being tossed aside because of your sex. I will never give them another dime of my money. This is why amazon is putting them out of business. read more

I have always came to Office Depot for our business to get all of our office supplies. We spend usually around $500-$1000 a month here because of the amount of printer ink and other items we go through. I was curious one day and decided to compare prices between Office Depot and Staples. The ink I usually buy for our printers was $75 cheaper at Staples then Office Depot. I started looking at everything I normally buy and Office Depot was way more expensive than staples. I liked Office Depot and the employees there but if I can be saving a couple hundred dollars a month by going to staples that's what I am going to do. Office Depot needs to change their prices to meet their competitors! read more

Got up at 5am to purchase supplies for a critical project I needed to get done this morning. Yelp says they are open 24hrs a day - they are not! They open a 8am! Had I gone to the Office Depot website I would have gotten accurate information. Very frustrated! Sorely disappointed in the customer service I received at this store today. They would not honor the prices listed on the shelves, argued with me about the limits on an item (even though it was the manager who had told me how much I could buy), and told me my rewards membership would not work for the coupon I was using and told me I needed to sign up for a new card. This meant giving all my information again, meaning that now I have to receive double communication from Office Depot. After going through that whole process, they informed me the coupon would not work anyway. The cashier asked for help several times and the supervisor was "too busy". The cashier was unfriendly, as was the supervisor. Not the way to keep customers coming back!! read more

Horrible service at the print desk. Waited for an hour to get 2 large format copies. Apparently, their network was down but they couldn't tell me that until I waited at the desk for an hour while they rebooted their printer, helped two other customers, refaxed another customer's order numerous times. Then after I told them THREE times that the copies needed to be 24 x 36 (i.e.2 ft x 3 ft), they printed them 28" x 36" so I can't used them anyway. This place is a waste of time. Use someone else.
