I had an incredibly frustrating experience at the Staples Evergreen location in Everett. UPS notified me that an important package was being held at this store for pickup. When I arrived, I showed the tracking information confirming it had been delivered there. The manager briefly looked for the package and immediately told me it wasn't there. I explained that it may have been misplaced or mixed in with other packages, but she repeatedly insisted it wasn't at the store and made no apparent effort to investigate further. Since I urgently needed the package, I drove to the UPS facility and was fortunate enough to speak with the driver who had delivered it. He even showed me confirmation that the package had been dropped off at this Staples location earlier that day. I returned to the store with this information, but the manager still insisted the package wasn't there. Eventually, after being told I could look myself, I checked the Amazon drop-off area and found my package there. Not only had it been misplaced, but the package was already opened. What bothered me most wasn't the mistake itself--people make mistakes. It was the complete lack of effort to help, the dismissive attitude, and the refusal to acknowledge that the package might have been misplaced despite clear evidence that it had been delivered. Even after the package was found, there was no apology or accountability. Instead, I was told to leave the store. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I've had. I hope Staples management takes customer concerns more seriously in the future. read more

Literally the WORST customer service I've ever experienced, ever. Dark haired guy working in Copies/Amazon Returns will absolutely not acknowledge you, Even will go so far as to straight up ignore you. I get it, maybe not the most fun job ever and at times maybe gets busy but it's not hard to simply say "be right with you." If you truly hate your job THAT much maybe it's time to go somewhere else?! These people are so pathetic. I went in to return a package a few months ago and the two women working in the store were so busy talking to each other that I had to ask them to help us. Of course they were offended by this. Today I went in to return an Amazon package and there is 7 people in line waiting for help. One heavy set girl was not willing to help instead she chose to stand looking at price tags for luggage on the other side of the store. I asked why she wouldn't come help and her response was (I'm doing my job) isn't helping customers her job? And a priority? read more

I'm not the type to leave bad reviews unless it's reached a level that it's almost a public service to let people know how horrible it is.. it took me 15 minutes to print 6 pieces of paper because their machines kept breaking and the pages have yellow streaks down the center because I think something is off with their dye. It costs .86 per piece of paper so I feel like the machines should work better... the staff I very unhelpful and unkind. They won't respond and will often ignore "excuse me" or "could I please get some help" even while standing right in front of them. Once you get a persons attention they sigh and look up at people with a glare and are very reluctant to help. I've seen one of the workers scrolling on social media and while waiting for my already printed paper while trying to say "hey, my stuff is done... can I please have it?" read more

I bought a very nice office chair and was pleased to find they were having a chair sale! Chairs were discounted around $50 or more and they have a very large selection. We were asked twice if we needed help so customer service is still pretty great at his location, theyre nice and helpful here! Anyway, 2 weeks with the chair and it is comfortable! Bought myself a lazy b office chair and now I dont feel so bad spending a lot of time in my office, its relaxing in there. read more

Terrible customer service. I was next in line with an Amazon return and after waiting at least 20 minutes , I asked if there was another employee that could help me. The employee said "no". Several minutes later, another employee escorts a customer to the front of the line and helps them before me and everyone waiting in line behind me. read more

Purchased my desk and computer chair from here. Has lasted me a long time and would replace it with a similar one. Staples has lost some mainstream attention but still is a solid office supply store. Perhaps a little more marketing/promotions can garter more attention and bring it back to the front line. Always nice to check in and see what new technology they are carrying along with the new fancy chairs that are being offered nowadays. read more

DISCRIMINATION! Staples refused to print religious flyers, stating that they were political yet there was nothing political about them. In any case, even if it was not political it is discriminatory. There was no abusive, negative, or foul language. read more

They have a clean store and a great selection of products (I am a fan of the "clearance" section as well - have purchased a few good items from there.) Overall, I'm pleased. The reason for the 3 stars is that some of the staff is extremely RUDE. The store owner should either have a meeting with the staff or send out a memo stating that customer service means losing the attitude during your shift and taking the focus off of you and putting it where it belongs: the customer (i.e. think like a customer, not an employee. How would YOU want to be treated if the roles were reversed. Think about it.) A big "shout out" to the staff who ARE friendly - just wish more were. read more

I didn't buy anything here this time. I actually just ended up going here beause the Office Deport/Office Max down the street by Hobby Lobby was closing and had already taken out their Printme machines. Prettty sure I will be going back if for no reason than the fact that now this is the only place left in Everett that still has PrintMe. Fedex office seems to have somethig like it but it just wasn't working right for me so I got frustrated and left. But back to Staples at this location and at this time. This is about the store itself and not about any online transactions. Its also important to remember that this is about what this store is like today. Not in the future and certainly not the past. This is really true of most Yelp reviews. Old reviews are quite meaningless. Retail places, restraunts and fast food places all have lots and lots of turnover and even turnover when it comes to ownership and management. Anyway its been a while since I've been at this particular Staples. Mostly because I don't live that close to this location any more and I don't like shopping that much in person any way. Here's what I noticed about this particular Staples during my visit here. The first thing I noticed was that the store seemed to be very clean and neatly organized. Everything looked good. The second thing I noticed was that even though there were few people there the employees all seemed to be quite happy and were quite engaging and wanting to be helpful. Having worked in retail I notice these things. On a whim I started looking at laptops. I have been wanting either a new one or a desktop lately and started looking around checking things out. I had a question and it was very easy to get someone to help me. Don't know about others but this is a big deal when shopping in person nowadays. The young guy who helped me was very helpful and easy to talk to and when he wasn't able to answer a question he got on his wallkie talkie and called a manager type who came right over and was able to confidently and quickly answer my question about what they had on stock. Overall eventhough I just went there to use the printme service to print a simple2 page document my shopping experience was so positivie there that i thought I would write a yelp review about it. The time before the place seemed a bit dingy and a bit disorganized and the employees seemed more or less disinterested bored and the fax machines weren't working at all. My best guess is that they got a new manager or management and things have changed much for the better. Don't just take my word for it. If you happen to stil do in person shopping for office supplies, electronics or whatever I would strongly suggest checking this place out. One last kind of weird but interesting factoid. Most places have stuff by the registry of what you might call impulse items--people stuff just end up seeing by the register and buying on impulse. At most places these areas are kind of a mess but I was very impressed to see that they actually seemed to have some impulse items i was actually interested in buying and that it was all very nicely organized and not a jumbled up mess like in other places. So check it out it sure seems like a nice store to go to. They also seemed to have some real good deals too. And I mean real good deals not some not so real good deals where they just give like a 10% discount. They seemed to have some real good deals. I need to double check but I would say the deals on some of their stuff seemed to be at a Costco level without the long lines an crowds etc that you would find at a Costco. read more

I have been a Staples customer, well, in 4 different states. I rate a business by two key things: 1] Does the business have what I need, when I need it? Yes-This site consistently has what I'm after. 2] Are the Employees courteous, kind (helpful) and professional? Yes! I've experienced, solid, technical info shared with objectivity and a quick list of "Pros & Cons" (my time is valuable, I prefer getting to the bottom line quickly!), they've helped me find a special type of paper for one-off jobs and have helped me get jobs sent/printed for courier pickup at other sites. I had planned to write my review of the Staples on 4920 Evergreen Way the moment I got back home. Problem was, whenever I walk in those damn doors, I enter this strange fugue state that causes me to walk down each and every aisle. Some aisles are visited more then once. As it is the time of year when the big yellow school buses begin impeding my progress at driving without interruption (big red STOP sign swinging out when I'm in a rush to get to ......wherever.....Staples...) Ok, what was I saying? OH yeah. Back to School time means HELLA shite on sale. I cannot NOT look at something with a big 50% off placard over it anymore than I can pass by a bin that proclaims you can buy 6 of (whatevah) for $2! I love Staples. The prices are very reasonable and the inventory is varied, so I almost always find whatever I am looking for. (Everything except laminating paper.) Now I'm not trying to be unkind, nor shall I mention any names (I didn't look at name-tags because my attention was wrapped up in a big huge "Just Slap It On" WATCH, which I am wearing right now, ,atter of fact.... ....continuing my thought....some of the staff are, well, a little clueless. But only a LITTLE. Not enough to annoy me, yet noticeable enough that I will mention it here. The MAJORITY of the staff are TERRIFIC. The clueless ones are terrific, too, don't get me wrong, I ain't hatin' on no Staples staff....but you can tell when someone is new and someone who is not. All of the staff are courteous, helpful, and most of them are knowledgable about what products they carry and where to locate them. I also love that I do not have to wait in huge lines, EVER. (I probably blew that one, if others read this, find my Yelps, and discover how awfully credible I am...damn! Honesty.....always best policy, sometimes has a suck factor.) My only wish of Staples is that they would have a larger selection of software, and carry a line of products that are not geared toward the Apple iPad/iPhone user. I would love to see more UNIVERSAL products being on the shelves. I would be somewhat poorer than I already am. RECOMMENDATION: HELL YES, A-almost-PLUS read more

Horrible customer service. Every time ive gone in to look around, not once have i ever been approached by an employee. If I approach them, they arent much help. Maybe they need training for the job? Staples gets a "O" rating from us! I requested a printer with certain specifications and the one they sold me did not have wireless internet as requested. I returned it. They gave me a new printer, which I carried back to the office and hooked up right away and the fan was blown. I returned the second printer. They did not have another printer with my specifications in the store or within a 50 mile radius so they had to order one. It was a Friday and they said it would be at my office by Monday. On Thursday I called and said the printer was not here and the UPS noted that they lost the printer. I called Staples customer support and spoke with John and then Myron discussing each of these problems and they said that there was nothing they could do. It was out of their control. They canceled the shipping of my order. Myron said he would have the Office of the President of Staples call me. When Tony called me she said that there was nothing she could do but re-send another printer to me which I rec'd and it did not come with all the cords needed to set up correctly. This is ridiculous customer service and our company is very displeased. We do plan on taking our business elsewhere to a company that takes care of their customers. read more

I totaly felt disrespected and profiled by managers and employees. I was followed around the store with an employee within 5 feet of me at all times, like I was going to steal something.
