Went to Office Depot this afternoon - (bought the wrong ink cartridges yesterday) getting the right one today hopefully. I waited in line approximately three minutes while The manager waited on another person Naadia came over to the counter and asked what I needed I told her I needed to return 1 ink cartridge replace it with the correct one, and have the old one recycled Within four minutes everything was taken care of including signing me up for reward points! I also got two dollars back for the old cartridge! Writing this review has taken longer than it took Naadia - operations manager, to take care of my problems! GREAT job! Today I went in to pick up a cardboard box and heavy duty tape to ship a painting tomorrow. I came in and wasn't greeted. I think things changed from when I worked there years ago because we had to greet people and ask what they came in for in order to hand them off to the next person working the department where they needed something from. Anyway, I noticed the cardboard boxes and I saw the pictures on them all. I rang up for $35 for the 2 items. What the hell?!? I was told to take my card out and the employee told me the one box cost $25. A manager told her it's a set of 5. I asked three employees to come with me to see all of the loose boxes and the price for $8.99. The employee saw this and then told the manager; he didn't care and said $25 for the box. Talk about bad customer service, right? I told them that I wouldn't be buying either but instead I would be writing a bad review and buying elsewhere. On my way to the door, I noticed an employee in a white shirt and I asked if he was a manager. Thomas told me that he was the general manager. I went over the issue with him and showed him the section. In all of the loose boxes, we found a set of 5 but no price other than the $8.99. I agreed that I saw the 5 now and Thomas said he would give me the deal on the one box. Talk about good customer service! Thank you Thomas! Recent online purchase for so called "same day" printing is false advertisement! I called this place to order business cards my promised time was not promised. I was told it would be the next day or 2 there's nothing they can do about it ?!?! I asked for a refund, was put on hold for more then 15-20 minutes then they disconnected. Called again to speak to a store manager, again on hold 15+minutes never did get to talk to anyone after. Missed my opportunity of sharing cards out because of a promised time not followed through DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON SO CALLED SAME DAY BULL Sht! I needed some blueprints printed for the next day. Deapite the fact that none of the machines seemed to be working, they told me that I would have to jump the queue and would nave to pay extra. So I paid hundreds of dollars and came back the next day. My blueprints were in a jumble on the counter and some were torn. They were out of order. The guy at the counter gave me an attitude and blamed me for the night shift leaving the job in a mess. Very rude. Very bad attitude. I asked for the manager. I waited for 20 minutes and he didn't come. I asked other wmployees for the manager and thry said he was busy and couldn't be disturbed. I went to the area where they sell office furniture and spread my prints out and started putting them in order. Several were torn. One had a shoe print on it. The manager finally turned up and said I couldn't use the table, and uf I had a complaint, I needed to take it up with the night shift manager. I asked for a number to escalate a complaint and he said I could get that from the night shift manager too. I will never again buy anything at any office depot. It is nit surprising that their recent reviews are lousy. I hope they go out of business. read more

Horrible. Couldn't find 2 super basic PAPER items, no help was offered at all, was lied to directly by girl at front and then had to wait awhile before anyone was even around to help. Finally got someone, they were IMMEDIATELY rude and dismissive, didnt help in the slightest. Totally dismissed all my questions and was completely willing to offer any help whatsoever, not nice, not professional, not very good customer service. I made a rack card on Canva for my small business. It gave me the option to pick up at FedEx. So when picking those up I asked about the pdf I created for a 5x7 card for a memorial that I needed to print. She said it had to go through Canva. But there was only the option to have it shipped to me. (I can't wait for that) Then she said I could send the PDF to them but it would be double the price than going through Canva, which would be $160 for 40 double sided 5x7 cards. I left! Went to OFFICE DEPOT (just down a few doors) and talked to LYRELL in the print/copy department. He is so knowledgeable and patient! I sent the PDF to their email and within minutes he was working on it. I noticed some markings on one of the sides of the card when it was on their large monitor (my fault, new Canva user) HE FIXED IT! As he was doing his thing on the computer to get it ready for printing he was explaining everything. I wasn't sure if I wanted matte or gloss so he did one of each so I could choose! Went with matte and they look amazing! I am soo happy with them! And it cost less than half the price as that other place! I will definitely go back to OFFICE DEPOT for all other printing I might need!! BEST! CUSTOMER! SERVICE! EVER!! THANK YOU SO MUCH, LYRELL!!! read more

This place has the slowest workers! Need more staff in the faxing/printing area. People don't know how to multitask. Waiting in line for over an hour. At least put chairs out for people to sit on while waiting in a long ass line. Workers don't even apologize for the slow service either. I would give this store zero stars if I could. Today, I was at the Stockton, CA location on March Ln. and was kicked out of the store at around 12:55 pm. According to the white male who asked me to leave, I was here yesterday, when in fact I WAS NOT. I am a clinical mental health therapist across the street with a masters degree from USC. I am also an Asian female. I feel embarrassed and discriminated against! I have no idea what happened yesterday with possibly another Asian female, but I was just going in to look at supplies for my office. I know Office Depot/OfficeMax as a chain has been struggling for business. After shopping here tonight I can understand why. I was looking for one inexpensive binder. I guess it's been a while since I purchased a binder. I wanted something around $1.99 or $2.99. Well, wish me luck. Maybe at Walmart but not at this store. While I was at Costco I checked for binders. They had 6 binders for $9. But I did not need 6 binders so I stopped by Office Depot. Office Depot wanted $8 for one binder! Ouch. I should've bought the six binders and given five of them away to some school kids. I know Office Depot has an extensive selection of every office supply imaginable where as Costco does not. so you pay for that luxury of choices. But hey, money is money! I've had a business account since 2018. They closed my card and never sent me a replacement even my account is still open so I can't use it... I've made multiple requests and still no card replacement. I needed to do a color copy job which they advertise at $0.62. I placed $100 on a store gift card to perform the print job. The printer would not allow transaction. Store management stated prices are $0.65 plus taxes. I asked to void out the gift card transaction and they said they cannot void gift cards. So I began print job which will not satisfy my job requirement. Printer jammed and would not restart the job where it left off so i had to count the copies by hand to tell them how many more I needed. ​ read more

Disappointed is an understatement. I am at a loss of words for how bad they messed up my order. I emailed over exactly what I wanted, printed out a physical copy, and brought it on usb which they uploaded. They said stacy was the one in charge of my order and if so she needs to learn how to read. I came in to order memorial cards and it came so botched. They decided to go from white paper to BLUE not only did they change the color they changed the entire font and format, instead of cursive they wrote it in print and only put ONE WORD in cursive. Like how?! Also they even misspelled the name! It's now the day of the memorial and they are yet to be ready! Spend almost $90 for these! The price is fine but at least make it right!! read more

I bought a new $600 printer, took it to my office 1.5 hours away. Followed install instructions. Would not work. Call tech support after 15 min tech support stated I'm busy hung up. Short version. Two calls tech support, computer tech at my expense, 22 hours trying with office closed. Still would not work. Called stockton store manager said no box no return. Try customer support. Called got India rep Said so sorry for your trouble, your receipton brand new machine not enough no box can't help you EVEN WITH THEIR 3 YR EXTENDED WARRANTY PURCHASED. I went here just for my grandma to use the restroom because next door at carters pet mart they said no one can use the restroom (Very rude people). They told me to go next door (office depot). The cashier (young, Caucasian blonde) said yes my grandma can use the restroom. Well my grandma was very tired and is ill. I ask the same cashier if it was okay that my grandma sit down until I pull up the car, she said yes with no hesitation. My grandma said as I was getting the car the cashier was looking to see if my grandma was okay. We weren't paying customer and the kindness she showed made a difference. A good store staffed by pretty decent people like Ivan, a trainee. However, some employees really need to work at being more knowledgeable about the store's offerings. When I asked what the difference was between a 25" and a 26.5" file cabinet, an employee replied, "One is bigger than the other." Seriously? That's your best answer??? But the biggest fault I find with an otherwise good store is the fact that they require you to order their larger items like furniture and file cabinets on-line. And THEY CHARGE SHIPPING whether it's shipped to your home or the store! It makes no sense to charge shipping for an item that should have been stocked in the store in the first place! And corporate gives the store manager no way to make concessions or adjust the price. I went to OfficeMax and ordered a 4-drawer file cabinet and a very heavy bookshelf (shelves are thick tempered glass) on two separate occasions and the shipping to my home was free in both instances. Until Office Depot changes this stupid policy, shop OfficeMax if you need to ship. read more

Two stars, one because I got a helluva deal on a computer chair on clearance. Bu the Service at this store sucks. Went back y'day to buy a new (250 bucks!) chair for my office. Paid them the Assembly fee to put it together. When i went back to pick it up today, apparently one of the leg guards fell off, on the way out the door. I didn't realize this until i got it home and was taking it in the house. So, I went back, and found the piece lying just inside the door. since they were out of stock on the chair, I offered to accept an adjustment on the chair and fix it myself. No can do they said , we wound up retuning the chair for refund, after they suggested I go out to Trinity Park way Store to pick up a replacement ( review to follow). Had they offered to help me take the chair out to my car, they would have seen the piece and saved me 2 hours of running around. BTW the refund process took 20 minutes while they found a manager to authorize the transaction. read more

To me it;s almost like a self-serve store. (1) yes, there are workers (2) not all workers are willing to assist (3) if someone does assist - it takes a good amount of time for them to get your product or question. If you're looking for clearance they have a mini aisle, but if you take the time to look around the store they have hidden clearance items. That's the fun thing to do, it's like going on an Easter Egg Hunt as an as an adult. LOL read more

She went in to get copies of invites we had just printed 20 minutes early and she refused told her to wait 1/2 hour. This is a review for the lady in the printing department- STACY. She's lazy as hell. Every time they're backed up with print jobs. Which is why I try and avoid her at all costs. Seriously she should be fired at this point. Daisy and Michael are amazing. I wish they had day time availability because this woman SUCKS. Calling corporate for sure. If you see a big, curly haired woman with glasses. RUN the other way. She's horrible. She won't do your print job. She told me to come back in 48 hours for 4 files that are 10 pages. This store really has to support its ORDER & PICK-UP section. Too often it is understaffed. Not fair to the staff and customers who wait.

They honestly do not even deserve one star. The 2 times I had business cards done, they not only weren't done on time, but they also weren't all cut uniformly, and when I was given the second pick up time, I went in and they still weren't ready. I get it, things happen. But then, when I went in to have an anniversary poster foam-cored, it looked like my 4-year-old foam-cored it. The edges were smashed and there were several ripples throughout the poster. The last straw was last night. I have been getting my son's first and last day of school posters printed and foam-cored here for a few years now, and they have been decently done, usable at least, however, when my husband brought home the last night the poster I had printed, they left a white border around the image which ps, wasn't there when I previewed my design and was only there because whoever printed it, didn't cut the borders and then decided to foam core it that way. There is ZERO quality control at this location, they are SEVERELY understaffed in the printing department and should be ashamed at the crap they produce. I think I'd rather buy my own large format printer and do it myself because $24.99 for garbage is a tad too much. read more

So a little background first, my Fiance and I were in the market for a printer cartridge so we can print out our wedding invites. Long story short a new printer is cheaper than the printer cartridge for our specific printer. Along our journey today at lunch I did some browsing on my phone for a good deal on a decent printer to suit our needs. I came across a smokin deal on www.Officedepot.com for an Epson 3 in 1. Starting price was $99.99 with a $40.00 instant savings bringing it to $59.99, not too bad of a deal in itself, then there was a mail-in rebate for $50.00 making the deal even better and unable to pass up, i mean shit a printer for $9.99 come on! I click on store availability and it says our local store has it in stock. We head on over and there just happened to be one more, perfect, however the price listed was just the instant savings price of $59.99 and no mention of the rebate, I question the very busy seeming unhelpful employee in the area as to if it comes with a mail in rebate as well. He didn't seem to sure about the color of his boxers let alone the price of the printer. We took it to the counter at which time the cashier up sales us on some more ink which is fine, and no mail in rebate. My Fiance asks to speak with the manager. The manager finally gets to us after about 10-15 minutes of waiting and passing by us about three times. We tell him our problem and he says "lets go check it out on the internet" at which time we head over to his computer station and he goes online to check. What do you know it shows $9.99 on his screen as well, he then tries to pull the online only thing, yeah no sorry that didn't work because the little check marks made it clear that the price was available in store. Then he clicks on the rebate section and finds out that the rebate is in fact expired, then proceeds to tell us that we should call 888-GO-DEPOT and ask to speak with marketing and see if they will honor the sale since it is still advertised online. First off why couldn't he do that since I am the customer? Second off he was quite arrogant and cocky in his demeanor. Very irritating. It doesn't stop there however. I got on my phone while standing in the store and called the number as requested by the arrogant manager. After about 15 minutes on hold I get a lady who spoke little to no respondable English (obviously outsourced customer service) who asks for my name and proceeds to start every sentence with my name. LOL. I explain the issue and what has and hasn't been done thus far. Gave her the model number and brand, then asked her what can be done about getting the price advertised. She then tells me it's an online only deal, so I tell her that the green check mark states otherwise. She said then that while it may be confusing on the page that it is indeed an online only deal and asked me if she could check online to see if it is available. What do you know, no longer available. Isn't that a coincidence. We decided at that point that we would just get it. So we go back up to the register to the same BITCH that helped us before and notice how I emphasized BITCH it's because she TOTALLY was, VERY unprofessional when she rang us up. I would not recommend them to anyone! Beware of very bad customer service and an arrogant prick of a manager. UPDATE: So I called 888-GO-DEPOT again yesterday. Asked to speak to a manager right away, he put me on hold for a split second then someone picked up. Usually this takes a bit to get a manager on the phone so I'm assuming it was just another person posing as a manager. I began to explain my situation to him which by the way the price had been changed online now to $59.99 just like I paid in the store. This guy told me; "yeah it had of been an error in advertisement, you really couldn't have expected to get a 3 in 1 printer for $9.99". I responded with "Yeah I could because it was advertised for that price." He then went on to tell me that they reserve the right to change pricing of ads without notification to the consumer and again something about that pricing being obviously too low. So I asked him if there was anything that he could do for me, his response NO, not no sir sorry we can't or No I'm sorry, JUST NO. WHAT THE DEUCE? I said you got to be kidding? False advertising to say the least here, he then gave me is there anything else I can do for you, I said NO ... and don't expect me to ever shop at office depot again!
