My husband and I went into this OfficeMax on a Sunday afternoon. We were purchasing a counterfeit pen to confirm the cash we would be receiving from a travel trailer sale was not counterfeit. Zed was the person that helped us. He was so nice! He went above and beyond to help us. He even took us to a register to show us exactly how to use it. Showing us where to look and where to find the markings on the bills. The customer service we received from Zed was excellent! It's so rare to find this kind of customer service these days. I went in to get prints of cartoon characters for my kids and the employee didn't seem to be helpful at all as it looks like he was going to break soon, he could of walk me thru another way for the prints but didn't even bother to try. I left and went to Office Depot on briggsmore and the employees there was much more nice and helpful. And the fact that I live down the street of office mass wasn't even convenient since the customer service sucks. read more

I never had an issue mailing out anything and I had to wait in line twice because a cashier was ringing up people she didn't clarify that so I had to go back in line again and she had the other customer infront of me go to her for the same thing she could of clarified again she's just ringing up. Then when I get in line to get help the associate there didn't even know how to mail out anything he was just photo copying/printer and wanted me to go back in line behind 6 people just to purchase some stamps to mail out a form please hire and train these associates correctly this is just RIDICULOUS if employees are not going to be trained properly or even hire people who do not have the knowledge of a simple task such as mailing out a document. read more

I needed some ink for my printer so I checked online to see if it was in stock before I went there. I went in and found it quickly and also picked up some nice quality copy paper at a really good price. I saw that the price was $5 higher than online. I asked the checker if the price went up. He said no that online is lower, so he scanned it and matched the price ! Went home and the next day I found that the ink cartridge had a problem. I called and the service tech told me he'd replace it with absolutely no hassle at all. He asked me if I still had the box. I said no it was gone with the trash man. He said "No problem!" He just kept the new box to return the defective one. I don't know when the last time I've had such good customer service ! They have a customer for life now. I don't know who it is, but they have one ! Just kidding It's ME ! read more

Your standard office supply store with a wonderful copy and services desk. With the passing of my mother-in-law there were so many items to copy and document packs to put together that I became a regular here for a few weeks. There are self-service copiers and a nice array of cutters, punches and other such things, but the desk employees are gems. I only experienced young women, but each one was totally on the ball. Jobs were done fast and completely. I was and still am very impressed with their attitude and accommodation. Very, very helpful. And their prices are reasonable across the board. I've had my laptop repaired here in the past and they took good care of me...but NOT TODAY! My laptop isn't charging so I needed to find out if it was the battery. I practically had to do the job for them...walking them through a step at a time to see if it was under warranty. I was told that their POS (Point Of Sale...or in this case Piece Of Sh*t) System only stored info for 30 days. W-H-A-T ? I had the battery and hard drive replaced about a year ago. They were unable to locate me in their system, even though I had purchased their tech support package at that time (but never used it). I had to coax the woman working there to plug it in to make sure it wasn't the charger or port that the charger plugs into. She felt sure it was a dead battery but said she couldn't order one for me. I would have to go online, order it, and either pay them to install it or watch a YouTube video to see how to do it. Normally I would appreciate the advice but I just needed to buy a battery ASAP. I am the furthest thing away from being tech savvy as you can get. HELLO...I JUST WANT TO PURCHASE A BATTERY. I PURCHASED THE LAPTOP AT THIS STORE YEARS AGO...NOW I NEED A PART FOR IT. I DON'T KNOW WHAT BATTERY TO ORDER...Or I would have ordered one online and saved myself the trip and agrivation. She offered up NO information until I pryed it out of her. She told me what to type in to search. I did so when I got home and still can't find the battery. I AM SO FRUSTRATED!!! I'm trying to do this on my tablet (I hate using my cell phone) and it's taking FOREVER just to write this review. I'm a caregiver so it's hard to get out to run errands. Now I'll have to go someplace else in search of help. Maybe Batteries and Bulbs will help me. I guess I'll find out tomorrow. I used to like shopping at this store but not anymore. They had no Laptops in stock (which I understand given the times we're in) and the place was a TOTAL MESS. They said they're not going out of business but from the looks of the place and lack of employees I would think otherwise. I will be spending my money elsewhere from now on. This place is hideously understaffed, and their employees act like they don't care. I came to this location yesterday to drop off some ink cartridges to be recycled. I headed to the only cashier's stand that was open, only to find two or three other people in line. No other registers were open, so I decided to go to the area where the copy machines are. I asked if I could drop off my ink cartridges, only to be told that can only be done at the front registers. Really? The guy couldn't just take the cartridges and hand them in later? The person in front of me in line was an older gentleman, who took what seemed like minutes to use his cashier's check to pay for his items. Frustrated and tired of waiting, I took my ink cartridges while his transaction was being processed, handed them to the clerk, told him they need to be recycled, and left in a huff. It seems like they should hire more people to work on busy days like Fridays, when people get their paychecks and go shopping. read more

I placed an online order for in-store pickup that was meant to be for curbside pickup, but did not realize that until i arrived. So I get to the store and tried to call them to see if I could switch to curbside, as I'm in pj short shorts, I'm bra-less and I have a newborn. (I've accidentally ordered for in store and was able to switch this before) I call and I am on hold for 10 minutes. I'm waiting right outside the store. I can see that there are no customers inside, yet no one is answering. I hang up and call again. I'm on hold for another 6 minutes. I'm impatient as I have needs to be met using my printer. I am still on hold as I get my baby and go into the store.. all while still being on hold on speaker. I explained to the lady how I accidentally ordered for in store pickup and needed curbside but no one is answering, and I am still on hold, while she is standing at the register not doing much anything. She explained to me they usually get a notification for curbside. I said yes I know that but I am trying to get a hold of someone in the store to switch because I have a newborn with me (and obviously I look horrific). I don't understand why no one was able to answer the phone. I received no apologies, except them telling me I messed up my order, which was obviously why I was trying to call. She asked for my name and then handed my order and said "your order is ready". As if trying to be funny. I looked like sh*t. So very embarrassing. read more

Love that they take your recycled ink cartridges and toners from your printer. Today I took in 2 ink cartridges and one toner. Since I had 3 to recycle they gave me $3 off my purchase so I walked around and found some Purell wipes to keep in my car because my toddler is always in need of a good hand wash. I only paid $0.31 for them! The cool part is they allow you up to 20 ink or toner cartridges a month to get $20 off. Pretty cool idea. read more

I was hoping OfficeMax would send me a survey like most companies do so I wouldn't have to leave a negative review but apparently this is another area they fail in. I ordered a printer online a couple of weeks ago for curbside pickup and went to the store and checked in on the notification they sent. When no one showed up I called the store and was informed that they looked for me and didn't see me, funny thing was I was standing right by my truck in the parking lot. But being the patient person I am I let it go at the moment. I was shocked when the young man came back out however with an attitude. He said I was in the wrong spot, I asked him where should I be then, he pointed to a parking spot in front of the store that was occupied when I arrived, unfortunately I see this a lot with curbside pickup where people think it's a spot reserved just for them and park there to shop, anyway I mentioned the spot was not marked to which the rude young man said they were not allowed to mark it. Knowing I have a temper I decided to drop it. I use curbside pickup a lot because of breathing problems and the inability to wear a mask and have never had a bad experience anywhere else. I would give a zero rating if I could. There is NO REASON to treat the person paying your wages this way. read more
