I went to this business in search of an office chair. Once entered, there was no greeting. In fact, it looked as if there were no employees there. I found the area where the office chairs were. Just like most everyone, compared the prices online and found that they had prices cheaper on the Office Depot website. Went on a search mission to find an employee, and I asked if they would price match. This was on the Office Depots website and was told they would not price match. Also, when you enter the chair in the search bar, the searches appear. The one showing up on the Office Depot website will show a cheaper price, but when you click the link of the cheaper price, the total price changes by approximately $50. I had to go back to the drawing board on do I do business at this location or find somewhere else. Due to time restraints, I still ended up buying a chair, not only did I buy it, I became an Office Depot employee for the moment by having to use their dolly to bring it to the counter and even on the box it shows 2 people should be lifting it, I couldn't find an employee to assist. I would not go back to this business. Also for us veterans, there are no types of discounts. **UPDATE** NO RESOLUTION I was told that a MANAGER would reach out, and they did. I received an apology. The price they say I went to in the store was $100 cheaper than the online price from Office Depot website. After the apology, training would be implemented to the said employees, but still didn't honor the price. Also, this MANAGER had the nerve to use my personal information and look me up on social media! I don't know what his intentions are but just letting you know what you're dealing with. I have been going to the Office Depot in Gainesville for the past two years off and on since it is convenient for me. However, after employees once again acted as if I was an inconvenience to them that I came into shop, I simply will drive a little further. It is worth it not to be upset with poor customer service. I'm not sure how to rate OD here because the company as a whole boasts the worst customer service I have ever experienced, but Victor the manager on site sympathetically made up for it. The company would not pick up the office chair (Fundamentals Mesh Mid-Back Swivel Task With Pivot Back, White/Black Item #8511886) as it was supposed to - twice - and it wasn't easy getting a hold of someone to arrange the returns. I resigned to keeping it after airing it out some more even though it offgassed VOCs badly, and Victor assembled it for me. DO NOT make a purchase here right now unless your sure the solution is a good fit for you. I purchased the Linksys Velop wireless solution for $300. The solution does not perform as promised and I cannot return it. Their return policy has become fluid since the corona virus hit. The new date to accept returns is May 3rd and I'm sure it will change again as it has already changed twice since I made my purchase. I'm concerned they will eventually refuse to accept any returns for purchases made during the pandemic. Just used the copy print service. I was surprise to see I needed to CHECKIN on the computer for service when there was one person being helped in front of me. I sent Terry (copy center) my color copy only to find out for some reason the copy was printing the highlight boxes on the document. I had just printed the document the day before at another Office Depot. He took the initiative to tried to problem solve the problem with several suggestions. He asked me how I had edited the document? I had edited in Adobe. The document had been edited in MS Word versus Adobe Acrobat which cause the problem. It was just a minor change and he even caught a grammatical error that he asked to correct in the process saving me a return trip to make the changes on my computer and return later to print. The tax free weekend sent me to Office depot because I was looking for a shredder. I didn't find what I wanted, but I did come away with a few things. I've never really had poor customer service here...i'm just not a fan of their store setup. I'm writing this review because of what major inconvenience this company is for me. I have visited this store three separate times and have left empty handed. I typically look on line to see if they have a product I need and go to the store to buy it. The problem is, the store has never had what I was looking for in stock and I'm told it is an "on line" only product. I was looking for a USB extension cable this last time so my laptop could connect to the printer across the room. This is product typically found in an 'office'. I feel like this company should be called "Pens and Paper Depot" because that's the only guaranteed product they have in the store. My advice is to have a selection on your website to check "in store" availability so people don't have to waste their time and to stock more products related to products you do stock in store, such as printers! read more

DO NOT send print jobs to this location and expect them: a) to be done in a timely manner; b) to be done correctly. Last week, I sent a print order in. They did not have the tabs that I requested per their web page. I wound up purchasing tabs from the store. I was told that they could not refund those that I had paid for online, as they didn't have a SKU for them. Yeah, right. I decided (foolishly) to give them one more chance. This week, their color printer is down. My order was promised today, but as they only have one printer with no backup, they can't print my order. Really? I paid via PayPal, and it is showing as pending until September 2014. So, they cannot cancel the order, or even send it to a different location, since it shows as pending, sent to production. The only thing is, this Office Depot CAN'T produce. Avoid them at all costs, even if you have to pay more to get the job done elsewhere. read more
