It was also very hard to understand the programming of their camera system. I had some vandalism done to my property and was unable to bring up the recording of what had happened . Plus the exorbitant price ($428) that was charged to install a display monitor that basically just sits on my desk and serves no purpose but to monitor the front door. The technician was unsure about how to install the monitor and kept calling his office for instructions on how to install it. There was also an incident where their technician spent 5 hours trying to reinstall a display monitor that would not work with my internet. I eventually programmed it myself. I am leaving Habitech because of poor service and seriously lacking customer service, and am being charged $1771 for breaking my contract. My home was built in 5/2024 and the wiring for the electrical circuit for the cameras is a mess. I called to have someone clean them up, and was told that someone would come out to take care of the problem. No one ever showed up to address the issue. It is concerning that I am being charged an extremely high fee to rid myself of an underperforming company with substandard technology and service. Security and peace of mind is a must for homeowners. Habitech has not lived up to my expectations and it is unconscionable that they would penalize me for leaving them when they know fully well that they failed me.
