Night shift is more consistently customer engaged, 3-5 is the sweet spot of service. Their Manager who runs the store has always been attentive to my needs when I need his assistance and the girl and old guy who run their print service are not only both sweethearts but truly patient and kind. After the store closest to me closed I've used this location almost exclusively because even if it's a bit out of the way the service really makes the distance worth it. The associate Michael has even helped take heavier items to my vehicle; which he offered. Younger generations still have a few gems! Not to cast judgments but consider the area when you read some of these negative reviews...having been a service worker in food most complaints seem to be from the same kinds of customers who'd jerk me around for a bad tip. The woman that works behind the copy desk is always so rude. This place is right behind my office so I have to go here for odd jobs but I seriously dread having to interact with her. She is condescending and you can just feel her internal eye roll the whole time you're talking with her. I hope she finds a way to heal because she is seriously a miserable human. read more

No public restrooms. The store is dirty and with all the employees you would think that they could figure things out.

I came in to make two sided color copies. I asked the apathetic women there for some help because I also had to make small laminate cards. In answer to how do I use this paper cutter, without any lines to create an even cut, she responded "I don't know it's like every other paper cutter." I had to spend $187 on 60 double sided color copies. You would think they could have been kind enough to show me how to use the cutter. Which is by the way old and the lines are worn off. But no, checking their phones and standing around was a far more pressing task. I would not return and if I were management, I would look at what's going on at the printing station more closely. I have used thie Print center mutliple times and always been very pleased with my purchase, photos, laminate, cardstock, etc. The staff is always nice and helpful; usually very busy, and sometimes the paper I like is out of stock (pearl cardstock). However last time was exceptionally great. I needed 10+ copies of a picture for a memorial service I was attending and I only gave the staff about 15 minute notice, asking if there was any way to get it done ASAP. They said they were busy with a large order but could get it done no problem, and they did! They went above and beyond to trim the pictures and adjust the size for optimum quality since I sent the wrong size. Melissa and Santos were professional, fast, knowledgeable, and kind and they made our memorial service that much more special.. Thank you guys! read more

The gentleman behind the copy & print counter, William, helped me print two large posters tonight. I had originally placed an online order to have it printed at a nearby Office Depot, but since they were having issues with their printers, this OfficeMax took the job. I went to pick it up 10 min before closing, and received genuinely kind service that really made my day. Another gentleman behind the check out counter was also very kind. Went in there looking for a paper shredder and a few other things. We were in there for about 15 minutes, and could not find some of the items we were looking for. Nobody came to help us and it looked like there was only one associate in the store helping customers (he was busy helping other customers). We got frustrated wandering around the store unable to find what we were looking for, so we put down the items we had picked up and left. If they don't care about customer service then I don't care to spend money there. read more

I spent more than an hour in the store, not once did a team member say hello, welcome, or if they could help me with anything. This didn't bother me until after I checked out... When I was checking out the blonde girl didn't say hi, and held a completely unrelated conversation about politics and Arnold Swartzeneggar on her headset. She didn't say bye, and didn't even bag my stuff up. Just stood there smiling at whatever the headset was saying. I had to ask her for a bag and bag my own stuff. WEIRD store! If could offer a zero we would. Difficulty with the copy machine and the person working the print shop said it would be best to go through him. He was very flashy with his typing skills and very sure of himself. After waiting about 10 minutes he still hadn't started. He said would take 20 minutes. We go to another store for over 30 and return. He doesn't even look up at the line. And doesn't remember us when we repeat a few times the order and point to the memory stick on his counter. He hasn't even started yet!!! Another 20?! No way. Get home and call the manager who could CARE LESS we drove over there TWICE! "We will try to do better next time he says"...oh, yeah. That's going to talk ya into coming back! Good customer service would say, please come back and let me take care of it myself and earn your business. Nope. Doesn't care. What is wrong with these companies these days! They can't even afford to have enough employees on to take care of the customers they now have, which they can't afford to lose as it is. If I could give this store a negative star I would. The working manager (the man with the beard), was super rude!! My mom and I came in looking for a type writer. Yes, I know they are out of date, but still. The manager with the beard, did not offer to help. But was very inconsiderate and rude. 1) if you do not like to help or 2) do not like your job, quite. He did not offer to look online, and showed us their only one in store. Then he just walked away. Yes, you may have other things that need your attention. But I have personally worked at Office Max. So I know the general idea of what goes on. And I did look around, there was hardly anyone in the store. So as to why he could not offer more help or other options...I am not sure. My husband and I purchased a desk from here about a week ago. We got a great deal on it after they let us use a coupon for officedepot. When it arrived, the desk was the incorrect one. I called and even though initially the managers weren't sure how to handle the problem, they ordered the desk we wanted (it was on back order and had to find it at another store even), had it sent to our house, and took back the old desk! No matter when I go in there, their bins are full for shredding and they have not called to have them emptied not sure when they will have more space. When Office Depot on 52 went out they said I could get my business cards from the one on Wadsworth Bypass, but the store had no records. So a very nice intelligent clerk helped me get set up over there. Today when I went over there once again they did not have a record of my last order. I had the wrong order from the one on 52nd. Could not look it up by business name or phone #. So I would have to sit and go through the whole set up process again. They said their records had been wiped out. Do not they not back up their information. I have never had a problem at any other office depot and will never go there again. The store is always out of stuff and for the most part very unhelpful. I also go to the Office Depot at 8051 S. Broadway in Littleton, CO where I live and they are friendly and very helpful. No since wasting my time going to this Office Depot anymore. read more
