Ran in here with an emergency need for some printed material for high school students in Kern County participating in a very special event. I accidentally left the printed copies in my hotel room far away and Lawrence in the print center did us a big favor. He understood the need and he quickly printed another set out for us so we wouldn't be late to the event. He was very generous because there was a line but he did it quickly enough that it wasn't any significant interruption to the flow of work for everybody else. I like this location. Come here from time to time since 2019 and never have had any problems. The staff is always helpful, the shelves are always stocked, they have a very large showroom of office furniture and the store is always clean. Not much else to say about it. Lol. Every time I have come into this location and needed help with a print job, including today, I'm told: A) They don't offer the service, B) It can't be done the same day, and/or C) It has to be ordered online. This applies to the most simple of jobs. The location on Rosedale is the complete opposite, and they have always been able to do what this location said can't be done (and always go above and beyond). Even if the Mt. Vernon location is closer to you, do yourself a favor and go directly to the store on Rosedale Hwy. read more

I went in to pick up my 1 piece of paper did it all online just to make it way easier on them what should of just been a quick pick up (already paid online too) took them almost 30min to help me. They were standing around talking then helped people who were behind me in line. Wouldn't recommend coming to this office max or getting any paper's printed you'll be waiting a long time. I personally don't think COVID has anything to do with the way they are conducting business. We went into this store to buy 4 office chairs and 2 desk chairs. What a waist of time. Very little to choose from. When we did find something they didn't have enough. As we stood in the middle of an isle waiting for assistance, no one helped. We went to the front of the store, as a worker walked past us we politely said "Excuse me?" 4 times! 4 times! She didn't even turn around. They just lost our business for sure! Coming from out of town I needed shredding done. This company had an in store coupon for up to 3lbs. I had 1lb. They not only said I could use the coupon they were going to charge a $2.50 fee to my shredding. Another thing as I like to price match with Amazon. They also refused to accept my price match with Amazon (yes it was sold and shipped by Amazon). Never going here again as I had my tasks and purchased by Staples. read more

The staff is sooo good that they saw me struggling with the machine because it's giving me errors with self service they did not hesitate to help me and even signs me up for rewards. My mother went there yesterday to have copies printed from her email. My mother is in her 60's and is not very tech savvy, so she needed help. She said the lady that "helped" her was very rude and short with her. The papers she needed were very important and if the gal had been more patient with my mother, I would hope the process of getting in and out would have been much faster. But my mother walked out of that store empty handed and embarrassed because the employee couldn't just be nice and patient with an older customer. She also mentioned this is not the first time this woman was rude to her and does not feel comfortable going to the desk when this particular worker is there. read more

Horrible customer service for my visit today. I waited 15 mins for a pick up that should have been ready but was not. I printed 180 copies for one transaction and 140 copies for another. My printed copies were not in a bag and the girl "do not want to expose her name", asked if I wanted "ONE" bag for two transactions. She didn't ask me if I wanted separate bags. Like come on now, have curiosity and ask the customer " would you like another bag" since I had two different transactions. Common sense was not present in this person. They have the worst customer service here. The Print Center has employees that are in a hurry to get on break but no rush to help their customers. I would recommend they get more computers and would recommend you to just drive to Stockdale Highway in you want better care. read more

They changed a lot of things within the last year, not for the better of the consumer. They should have a computer to do your print jobs like before especially since they typically only have one working in printing helping a customer for a long duration of time. Just an eh kind of place, if you can get away with printing elsewhere then do it. read more

I do not know what happened to this store. Have used this location for years. 9/27/22 went in to have an 8x10 print made on photo paper. The girl doing the job was rude, short and acted as if I were bothering her. The print was done and you could see where there obvious printing lines. I asked if she could clean them up and her reply was "Look if you don't want it I will throw it away. Your choice." That is a quote. I asked where frames would be and she said they don't have frames at this store. I will be taking my business elsewhere for now on. Too bad. Was a good store. read more

Went in to drop off a package(through fedex)the woman who worked there was not friendly whatsoever, i asked for a receipt of drop off for my package, she was very rude and annoyed of someone even having the audacity to step foot inside the store. Office stores are all pretty much the same. This one is the closest to my home, so I go here quite often. I need a lot of toner. I also buy multi divider folders and some other things here and I've never walked away without getting what I needed. When I can't find something, the staff is always willing to help me out. I appreciate that because I can't stand wasting time looking for something that is right in front of me. Very frustrating! Anyhow, they have a good customer service thing going. They have bins with marked down items near the checkout line. It is not just a bunch of junk in there. They have all kinds of good stuff that is totally useful and needed like highlighters and phone chargers and crayons (yep, I still like coloring. DON'T JUDGE!). Anyhow, I never get a bad experience at this Office Max location, so I'll keep coming back. AND they have a HUGE selection of crayons. I'm not kidding. read more

I had a job interview awhile back with them and as soon as I walked in the store earlier than expected because I need a journal. I was looking for a journal when I felt someone watching me. I looked around and it was an employee and not just an employee it was the manager. I ignored it and continue looking their selection of journals and move into a different aisle a few rows away so I would be able to tell if the manager thought I was stealing. And I was right, wherever I went the manager was right there watching me. I didn't even stay for the interview and bought the journal and left and told the cashier about my experience. I'm not sure if he told his manager or not but my experience was bad. I will not be going there anymore. read more

I was back to school shopping for my classroom and was wanting to buy large quantities of certian seasonal items. Instead of counting out what I needed, I asked if I could just buy them in the unopened boxes. The employee that help me out was very helpful. He pulled boxes off the top shelf and got boxes out of a shipment that they just received for me. He went over and beyond trying to help me get everything I need. The store had lots of sale items and everything was nicely organised and easy to find. The store was very clean and was easy to navigate through. We needed some envelopes printed on and went in to see if the officemax print shop could handle our request. They assured us they could, told us how to format the publisher file, and how to submit. However once we submitted our file and went to print they told us it wasn't something they could do. After they assured us it would be NO problem. I walked in apprehensive and confused: I am a CSUB student taking a BC summer school class that required me to purchase a specific lab book at this particular Office Max. We walked in to look at computers for my son and went to the computer aisle where two employees were having a work related discussion with each other. They finished talking and walked away from us in different directions. We got no acknowledgement from either, even though we were only feet away and obviously in need of answers. I was ready to walk out of the store when Richard came to help us. He took our needs into consideration and answered all of our questions. VERY helpful. We bought a computer and walked out happy.
