I'm going to give this place 5 stars because of the people. It's a very small store, so don't expect a lot of furniture, bit aside from that it's well stocked, clean and services are great. The staff is ALWAYS willing to help, and go out of their way to do so. Last time I was in and associate volunteered to help find a cord I was looking for and searched all their stores and online. I walked in and went to the pick up counter. I waited for the gentleman behind the counter to finish up with the lady who was there before me. His attitude towards the lady was already off putting. When he asked me what i needed i said i had a pick up. He pointed to the wall. Now on the website i had selected "behind the counter" as the information printed was CONFIDENTIAL. I told him they were supposed to be behind the counter and he cut me off and said "we only have one pick up area." Extremely rude and I will never be sending a print order to this location again. I would not give any stars but I guess I am required to. I have gone to Office Max copy store for years and had good service but as of today I am done. The girl and guy employees that were in there were laughing and chatting to each other and left me just standing. Then when I asked for one copy of two sheets she said they were too busy and that I would have to come back! She was snotty and condescending. No thanks!!! I have a local business and do a lot of print jobs. I typically have the worst experience here and other supply stores so I try to do all my work from online print shops. However, today in a pinch I came by and had my usual issues and Rochelle was more than willing to help me out. I usually get the "there's nothing we can do" attitude, but she went above and beyond to help me while being such a sweetheart. Lately I have been doing a lot of printing in high volumes. I coordinate a project that encompasses the entire state so being able to do our orders online and select someone to come pick them up is great. I personally have come to this location a couple of times in recent weeks. They're always quick to process our orders and do a great job. I'm not a normal customer but I had a roll of bubble wrap to return. I called the store and spoke to Zoe who told me that without a receipt I could not return it. She did say if it was under 30 days without the receipt they could do store credit if they could look up my account. I told them I don't have an account and I wanted cash back not store credit. She then asked me to hold while she spoke to her manager Cody. I never asked to speak to Cody or ask her to do that she did that on her own which I thought was great. When she came back to the phone she said my manager said you can return it and we can give you a refund. I drove 20 minutes to the store for her to give me a gift card that was $6 less than the purchase price. She told me it had to be store credit since I didn't have a receipt. I told her that's not what she told me over the phone. She said sorry that's all we can do. At that point I walked up to the manager Cody and told him what happened and he asked Zoe if I was told it was supposed to be a credit and not cash . Zoe said I don't remember but I think I told her . I let them know again she did not tell me that . He said they wouldn't do anything about it. So I called the corporate number and I spoke to someone who kept putting me on hold not listening to what I was saying and then decided to call the store. They told me to wait 1 to 2 minutes on hold and after 10 minutes she finally dialed the store number. She then came back on the line and Cody walked to the back of the store out of my view. She told me that they would not be giving me back the refund because of what Cody said. I escalated the call from there but want to focus on the actual store itself. I asked for the site manager and was refused that information from Cody. He then tells me that he was standing right next to Zoe when she told me it would be store credit. I said how is that possible when I got here you asked her if she told me that and she said she couldn't remember? He claims to be standing next to her when she had the phone call with me yet didn't remember that the first time when I first got to the store . He's lying that never happened. I would not have driven out of my way for a partial store credit l. He then said I could call his supervisor tomorrow and wrote his information down on a piece of paper only after I asked for it. As I'm walking out of the store he yells from behind the desk my supervisor is not going to do anything for you either. He yelled it in front of multiple customers. Then when I got to the door it would not open so I had to physically Push the door open myself while he stood there and watched me. This has been escalated through the corporate office and I have also written the Better Business Bureau. Cody was completely unprofessional and I wouldn't advise anyone to shop there. This was all over $17. I also went up to him three times and said I'm giving you another chance to make this right and he still refused. Horrible customer service and I will never shop at OfficeMax again read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I was "helped" by a woman with black hair and piercings in the photo/copy center and she was disgustingly rude. rolling her eyes and dismissing my questions. I normally visit the location on Ray Road and would definitely recommend going THERE instead if you can. Save yourself the hassle to be honest. I don't like leaving bad reviews but she was horrible. COPYMAX (attached to Office Max) has horrible customer service. There is a $5 minimum to print anything from the counter (the self-service station is often occupied) and the people behind the counter are not helpful at all. Many of them have been rude to me and they do not find solutions to help the customer. I highly recommend you go down the street to print your documents (the FedEx Office store on University across from Trader Joe's). They are friendly, helpful, and great with customer service. read more

On the OfficeMax website, several all-in-one computers were flagged with the offer "Order by 5pm and get it today." I should have known better. All the decent models were already sold out, and I couldn't have anything delivered for a full week. Worst still, OfficeMax charged me full price (almost $1,000) just for looking. I called them at 4:30 PM to ask if they could reverse the charge. No order showed up on my account. The call extended past 5:00 PM, so I was instructed to call back the next day. I called at 8:45 and was told that the heretofore "sold out" item had been picked up in store the night before. If it was, it wasn't me who picked it up. Don't they check IDs or verify phone numbers? The rep at the office suggested I try a competitor. I definitely will. read more

I've been shopping here for 3 years - I use a lot of business supplies for my photography business. This is not the largest office supply store nor the newest. However, they have a decent product mix and offer first class printing services. The employees are always eager to please and the prices are comparable. They priced matched a few flash drives for me on this visit and that ROCKED!!!! (I send clients their photos via flash drives). A solid 5 stars! read more

The tech support here is a joke. I have used office max in Arcadia for my computer needs before and was pleased with the service. But unfortunately my recent experience was extremely frustrating with this location I took my computer in for a tune up at this location on a Thursday during lunch time. I was told the turn around time for my computer to be worked on was 12-48 hours. I called on Friday for an update. Well the manager(I think) Sheila told me they were working on my computer. Hours later I got a call saying that they couldn't get to my computer and that it would be worked on the following Monday........seriously wtf! On Saturday I called back because I could not wait another 3 days just for a tune up. Well the person I talked to said they couldn't even begin working on my computer all this time because it would not connect to their monitor and that more than likely the video card needed to be replaced. What the hell.. My computer had no issues connecting to a monitor when I brought it in. I told the associate not to touch my computer and I was going to come get it ASAP. I took my computer back and took it back to the office max in Arcadia that I should have gone to in the first place and GUESS WHAT?!?!? They connected my computer within minutes while I was standing there. Apparently if they were paying attention they would have known which cable to use according to the office max Arcadia tech guy. This place has the worst customer service I've ever experienced! I needed one (1) god damn copy of a request page so I could go do a drug test for a new job. That's it super simple could of taken 30 seconds however John the closer on Friday April 27th 2018 decided to close the store early as I arrived at the fron doors at 8:57pm 3 minutes before the scheduled closing time of 9am I found the doors locked and John sitting at the counter on his phone he walked up and told me that they were closed and that he was sorry as I pointed to the hours sign on the door and showed john my phone with the time on it john proceeded to say sorry we are close with no regard for his customer which is upsetting as I am a office max and copy max VIP club memeber and use their services frequently. I am very upset with john and and the company as a whole. If I could give zero stars I would. If however a rep reaches out to apologize for the events which have taken place I will be more than happy to update this review and change the star rating however until that happens I'll proceed to leave bad reviews on yelp google bing and whatever other portals I can find leading to this company's business pages. I will also be taking my business too Staples until this is rectified Staples may be a bit more pricey but being treated with respect and having the doors open to guests during scheduled business hours is well worth it. read more

Outstanding customer service! We had brought in a disk with 2 images we wanted photo copied. Two different styles of High School Graduation Announcements. We dropped off all the info and details, filled out the forms with the onsite staff member on Thursday 4/28 to have printed & picked up on Friday 4/29/16. My husband arrived Friday evening after work and went to purchase them: only to have the sales associate let him know they had to reprint as there was a small white line directly through them ALL. This process brought over three other staff members to assist in a timely manner. I believe the names of these OD members were Tyler, Manny and Alma. They were able to reprint, copy and cut as well as offer us envelopes due to this mistake on their end. We were happy with the outcome of the announcements and the quality customer service we received. I called and spoke with Andrew M. this morning to make him aware in a positive way, of how his staff had provided assistance in this situation. If you need prints - I highly recommend Office Depot, we have been using them for years. If you join the rewards program you will receive additional savings. First time to this location, but will be happy to return as we know they will always strive to make things right and give excellent service too! read more

This is probably the best Office Max in the area. The workers there are very friendly and helpful - sometimes overly so. You can't be in there for 15 minutes without 3 different people asking if you need help with anything. It gets annoying but they mean well. Their selection of stuff is great and their prices are very good as well. Their Max Perks program is also very good especially if you are constantly shopping for office supplies. However, I did by one of those extended warranty things they always push. It was a clusterfuk of an experience when the printer I bought it on broke. Anyway, they stress how easy it is to replace or get refunded a broken item, but that was FAR from the truth. read more

Office Max always has what I need. They also have a copy center. The prices are okay if you just need need a few copies. It can add up if you are needing to copy more than 5 items. I frequently shop here for the business I manage. I've always had an A+ experience whether it was shopping for ink, picking up miscellaneous supplies, or print jobs. I placed an online order for a printed/laminated poster. I was hoping to have it in the next few hours so I could drop it at my place of business as I would be in the area. However, when I submitted my order, I was informed it would be ready by 7pm (it was currently 11am). I called to see if they were able to speed up the process and the gentleman on the phone said he would see what he could do. Sure enough, an hour later I had received an email stating it had been completed. Perfect! For what it's worth, the woman at the counter at the print shop appeared grumpy and was a little short with me, but everyone has off days. After another OfficeMax store screwed up my order, they picked up the slack and made sure that my prints were exactly how I wanted them with GREAT turnaround time. I have been getting my textbook ring binded since forever from various officemax. Never ever have any problem in the past from all the previous locations. Always in good conditions/results. Today, decided to go to this location for the same thing with my textbook as it is the closest to my apartment Totally destroyed the book. The person that did it blame on the size of the book but it was obvious that he did not have the patient for it and just stuff in the whole puncher machine as thick as possible. He also just randomly poked the text book with one of the ring just went into the middle of the page. It is like, totally unacceptable. The book is thick but they did a much thicker book for me before at other location without a single problem. Not only the binding was horrible, the person that did the job was very unprofessional as well. he said "it will at least stay together" ??? What the heck was that mean?? The book was already together in the first place (of course, duh). Still charge me for the crappy job and said "at least, I am giving you the discount." I just wanted to let you know how terrible this company and policies are. I purchased a personal printer at the Tempe, AZ location for my daughter for Christmas so she could print photos of her 3 year old and when she finally opened it on New Year's day, the item was in terrible shape and obviously USED showing scratches and ink on the item. We called THAT DAY to the store in which we purchased it and were told to return as soon as possible as it was an ELECTONIC item. We made plans to meet our daughter the following day, Jan. 2, traveling to another town to pick it up and went directly to the store, where we were told that because the serial numbers did not match the box they would not take it back!!!! Obviously your store committed FRAUD by selling us a USED item as "NEW". I have also contacted your CORPORATE OFFICE and was told we would be contacted within 4 BUSINESS HOURS. THAT was 3 DAYS ago. I talked with the GM and he was to call me back and never did either! read more

If you want a professional looking document printed, DONT GO HERE. Quality service is terrible. Screw up an order once, shame on you, screw it up twice, shame on me...I don't know what you say after a third time. I will never come back here again. This last time I was very specific with what I wanted. I asked for a full bleed. I set to normal parameters then made sure Rey understood and left. Four hours late when I came back my project looked terrible. When I said it wasn't acceptable, they said it was my fault. They knew what I wanted and when they saw a problem, instead of calling, they just ran it anyway. Then the girl helping me walked around continuing to mutter under her breath. Dear ASU Tempe printmaking majors (or those interested in making transparencies for printmaking), Transparencies are cheap and are printed in decent high quality, 300 dpi looks great, although nothing larger than an 11x17" (you can still piece them together). Their transparencies print with a white paper strip stuck to the top of the sheet, but you can easily peel it off, but if you are piecing it together, rotate your image accordingly so that it does not get cut off. Also, the canvas size for the 11x17" is always going to be a little less than what it actually is, so I suggest resizing to 10.5x16.5" just to make sure you're getting everything you want. The large format toner printer is also pretty sweet in 300 dpi, for those of you that like the old school way of making the frosted mylar false transparency. I don't know the largest size you can get with the toner printer, but you can cover a gigantic screen if you wanted to do some really large screen printing. Relatively fast, cheap for those of you on a budget, it's still a corporate OfficeMax, but what can you do? Those of you taking photopolymer plates with Dan Mayer, remember to double up on your transparencies to block out as much light as possible. PS - always specify the dpi to the employees, otherwise you might not get the greatest results, and bring multiple formats in your thumb drive just incase your .gif/.png/.psd/.pdf/.tiff is incompatible with their ancient relic machines that they like to call computers.
