WE'VE GOT THAT Since I never come into this store I was looking around aloof, and a store clerk noticed and asked if I need help, to which she told me where exactly I can find the item I came for. I was in search of the not-so-common these days business card holder sleeves and THEY HAD THAT. Even though it was not busy in there, they had a lots of employees available to assist. It appears they have back-to-school sales there with all kinds of supplies stocked for students. Which might be a better alternative if you don't like the crowds at places like Target and Walmart. I would say this is a place of convenience for office supplies that also carries some specific items that you may not find at other big box stores. I went into staples in a somewhat bad mood (needing to print out paperwork for court.) but when I was working with Nick he went out of his way to make sure I was taken care of. He was very attentive and respectful to everyone even though it was a busy holiday season. He actually made me feel a lot better. I have utilized this Staples for quite a few printing needs and there is definitely room for improvement. The overall printing job, no issues with quality or product, but multiple times I have placed a same day order within the required parameters- before noon and with standard options, not to mention nothing particularly large about the orders and have had issues. The first time was for a few biz cards and some postcards. They reached out and let me know they did not have the materials to fulfill the order. Unideal, but I did not need it immediately, so asked what my options were. They let me know I could pay for shipping and get it delivered in about a week or so, pick up at a few various Staples. This sort of frustrated me, because why should I pay more when I placed for pickup when the issue was on their end and I also did not want to drive around for my order. I asked if they would cover shipping and/or provide a discount for the delayed fulfillment. They let me know there was no way they could provide a discount as I had already paid and fought me on covering shipping. They were able to source the materials from a different Staples and complete the order, but they were really difficult and quite unfriendly about it. This past week, I placed a 50 card postcard order for same day pick, again before noon and went as clsoe to close (8:00 pm) as I could. They let me know it was not complete, nor would it be taht evening and I would have to return the next day for a estimated completion time of 6:30 pm. A bit confused, I asked why since it was under the "same-day", which they let me know they had been busy and cards take time and taht I did not pay for a rush job, which again why would I need to when using their same day ordering system. i DID need those by the next day, so let her know it was pertinent they were done by late morning/early afternoon. The employee said she woul dmake note but no promises. Why I did not get a call or message.. I will never know. I then had to come again the next day when my order is ready early afternoon. They did not seem to be bothered or care for the inconvenience. I totally get things come up, but simple communication could have avoided the multiple trips. I will not be utilizing this location for future prints. It is located by a few other businesses, does accept Amazon returns and overall the otehr staff seem to be friendly, but the experiences I have had with the printing team has left me less than stoked to return. read more

Horrible service from one individual. From the moment I requested help with an online order, I received a nasty vibe. Maybe she had a bad day and was projecting it towards me. She saw me get in line and ignored me. When I walked to the other side to her line of visibility, a customer walked up to where I was and she began helping that person. I asked if I was in the correct line, and she said "One minute". After several minutes, she asked what i needed without even greeting. Then she said I was in the wrong area. I'm hardly ever in the store anyway, except to dump Amazon returns and escape. Today, though, I actually needed something done urgently. HP just bricked my $800 printer with a "helpful" update, and now it won't work with the ink I already bought. Awesome. So I call because I need labels printed STAT. I'm told I can't use the self-serve printers for labels... apparently I have to hand it over to them -- with a 72-hour turnaround. For labels. In 2025. Yeah... no. Off to call Kinko's. I'm writing to express my disappointment regarding a recent experience at your store. My fiancé and I were planning a last-minute wedding and urgently needed to send out invitations. I selected and paid extra for same-day pickup to ensure they were ready in time. However, when I arrived to pick them up, I was taken aback by the poor quality--especially the graininess of the prints. We spent $500 on professional engagement photos specifically for these invitations, and the result was far below our expectations. While I selected the matte finish, I didn't expect it to compromise the image clarity to this extent. I didn't say anything at the time because I was in a time crunch and didn't want to cause a delay, but I left very disappointed. To make matters worse, I also ordered business cards that were not ready at the time but apart of the same order. I had already paid the full amount--$64--using a gift card and cash. The price of the invites as well as the business cards. The next day, when my fiancé went to pick them up, he was charged another $64 for the same order. When I called the store immediately, the staff member I spoke with--named Ziva--was dismissive and rude. She insisted it was impossible to have been charged twice and implied I hadn't paid, despite me having two receipts for the same transaction. Her tone was condescending, and the whole conversation felt like I was being blamed for their error. I was told I'd have to wait three days for the manager to be available, and nothing could be done in the meantime. Eventually, we did receive a refund, but there was no effort to make up for the inconvenience or the poor service we experienced--not to mention the print quality issue that still remains unresolved. This was my first time using Staples for printing services, and unfortunately, it will be my last. I hope you take this feedback seriously and work to improve both customer service and the quality assurance of printed materials--especially for meaningful, time-sensitive projects like wedding invitations. read more

I went there to buy a laptop and tye lady at tge printing area (which appeared to be tge Manager) didn't acknowledge that I was standing there to ask for assistance. Then, I asked her if she had anyone tgat could assist me with some questions. She immediately replied, her associate was on break, and I asked her if she had anyone else. She responded, "they need their breaks." By no means that was my main argument. Then, she shifted the conversation by saying that she couldn't move from there because if another customer was to arrive and not find her at the printing area, they were not going to have customer service. WARNING! DO NOT GO HERE FOR PRINT JOBS! Staff is very unprofessional and reckless. On Friday, my boss tasked me with having 11"x17" flyers made. In the past, I have gone to the location on Greenfield and McKellips. I know my boss has used other locations throughout the valley, as well. Under the assumption that every Staples was properly trained, I decided to use the one on Baseline and Stapley, as I had to pass there anyway. I sent the flyers to the printer's email address. And when I stopped in the store, I explained to the employee behind the counter that we wanted Staples to photoshop them to fit the 11" x 17" page. We do this frequently. The employee informed me that he wouldn't be able to get them done yesterday. But they would be done today, Saturday. I called Staples today at 2:20 to ask about the status of the job. I was informed that they were done. When I picked up the flyers, they had not been cropped at all. There is probably 2 inches on both the top, and the bottom that are plain white. I told the employee on duty (a different one than yesterday), that I had asked for them to be cropped in Photoshop. They said that they had selected "fit to size" on the program. And that's how they printed. I'm very disappointed. It's surprising that it took two employees to do a task incorrectly! At least they work together as a team! read more

Oh My, I drove from the Gilbert location to the baseline because of poor service. It started out wonderfully. The person came right up to help, I described to her what I wanted to do and she started to help. Then someone came up with what I thought was a quick question so I told the service person she could help the other couple and I would wait. No idea why I said that, I deserved to be helped and drove a long way to get help. Anyway, after about 10 minutes she asked another assistant if she could help. I kid you not, this lady wouldn't come near me to help, she stayed in the middle of the copy center and wanted me to yell my order to her. I asked her if she could come over to me so I could show and discuss with her what I needed done. She told me she needed to stay where she was in order to put the order in and never approached me. I have never ever heard of service like that. At least the Gilbert Gal was rude to my face, this one was across the room. She wasn't working on anything else, she came to the area because the other person asked if she would help me. OMG. I don't know what's going on but there is definitely a shift in this country. In some cases, people just find it difficult to be decent. I'm of another culture, have no idea if that played into it. In my entire life, I have never felt that an issue and it may not have been one today. I have done business for years at these two locations, never once felt this way after having such brief interactions with service folks. I think things have the potential to continue to get very strange. Hope I'm wrong and perhaps people just hate their jobs. lol read more

I went to Staples yesterday in search of a laptop desk to put next to my desk. When I got to the front, the desk didn't ring up the same as the tag. Th associate (Nhan) had to go all the way to the back of the store to figure out if I was right. Totally understand he is just doing his job. When he returned he confirmed that I was right and that a previous tag had not been removed. He honored the price. He was very very friendly, fast and even helped me to add my phone number to my member rewards. The only reason it's getting 4/5 is not because of him but because of the pricing error. Don't even consider going here if you need any kind if assistance at all. EVER. All I needed was a binder, sheet protectors, print labels, and to hole-punch my script. I thought I'd be in and out in 15 minutes or so. Oh, so young, so naive... I was in here for 50 minutes. FIFTY. I went to the copy and print station to get help hole-punching my 100 or so pages. There was another girl in line in front of me (with a look like "FML" on her face. I should've taken it as a hint. Ah, hindsight...) and we were both waiting for the C&P guy to help us. He was currently helping an older gentleman with something. Wait. I say "helping" like he was actually doing something... He was really just standing there watching the older man struggle. Not at any point did he ever tell or gesture to the two of us in line that he'd be with us in a few minutes. He didn't care. AT ALL. After 10 minutes, I finally gave up waiting and decided to do it myself. Took me at least 10 to do it myself (after 5 minutes of trying to find anyone that could help me). I left the C&P station pissed. Even though it took me forever to figure out how to do my stuff myself, I finished before Napoleon Dynamite over there finished "helping" the girl in front of me. I'm too frustrated to call that a silver lining. When I (FINALLY) found another employee to help me find the print labels, I was told the wrong aisle. Again, I had to play "search and find" to find an employee to help me locate what I needed. At checkout, I told the clerk how horrible my experience was. He apologized (didn't really try to make it better), but the damage was done. Look, if I didn't need someone more knowledgable and better office equipment, I would've just stayed home. DUH. And if you hate your life, you shouldn't be working at a job where you have to interact with people. The store was clean and easy to shop. I was only there for about 10 minutes but I only saw two employees on the floor during this time. No one said hi or asked if I needed any help. My kid's school was having a "Ream the Teacher" event where you purchase reams of copy paper to donate. I saw a display for some cases and the deal looked pretty good, until I read the fine print. The savings was going to come back in the form of a gift card. You pay full price and get a rebate, but not cash savings then and there. It's a good deal, but not when I'm trying to watch my spending. I'll be back for other office/school supplies, but I'll probably do some research on where I can find a better savings on copy paper in the future. read more
