I have never, ever met such a generous, empathetic, and tender hearted group of vet techs and doctors in all my years of being a cat mom. The absolute compassion they showed us was outstanding and just not something you see every day. You could tell every single person that worked with my boy was a honest to goodness animal lover. They showed him the same amount of love that Rudy's dad and I did. I could tell by their gentleness and patience they exhibited that they treated Rudy as if it were their own cat up on that table. Not only did they comfort us, and give us both the most genuine and sincere hugs, they cried with us and even offered to get us an Uber when our ride was running late. When we explained we couldn't pay the full amount they asked for, and asked if we could break it up, they capped us at only a third of the asking price and did not expect any more payment, which in itself made me cry. They brought us snacks and water bottles, and when they ran out of creamer for coffee one of the techs went into their office and brought me out a cup of whole milk. So many little things that made a terrifying experience less scary. Trust me when I say if your animal is in need of emergency care this is the hospital to go to. I wish all clinics could be filled with such incredible, dedicated people. They brought light to one of the worst days of my entire life. He didn't make it, but it was to no lack of effort on their end. I will forever be grateful for their kindness.

They treated him with great care. I felt like they were very efficient and we received immediate attention when we walked through the door. But it doesn't take away from the actual physical experience during our visit. This said, they take constructive and compassionate feedback with an open heart. They recognize there needs to be improvements to the customer experience, while still protecting their employees from customers that lack and amount of human politeness and can be aggressively rude and threatening. Whereas I didn't experience that during this visit, I am well aware that there are humans that are less than humane when it comes to treating other humans. No amount of pain for our pet does not justify behaving unkindly to the staff that goes out of their way, overworked, understaffed and more than likely underpaid, to care for you beloved companion. Many people don't understand either that the venture capital greedy monopoly veterinarian care system puts enormous pressure on veterinary care to sell services and control the out of control emotional costs for care that is not necessarily covered by pet care (and is worse if you don't have it). It is EXPENSIVE. And coverage leaves a lot to the imagination. Pet ownership comes with many caveats and that is one of them. But that is NOT THE EMPLOYEES at the front, fault. They DONT set the cost. They DONT set the standard for care or the protocols. They are there to greet you, tend to you baby, take the payment and dispense the medication the VET sends to the pharma. I have no doubt that with their attention to Customer and Client experience, they will figure it out! In the meantime, thank GOODNESS, our Lulu is getting better every day! Thank you for reaching out! It was welcomed and refreshing!

I unfortunately had to do a little tour of veterinary clinics the past few days, as my sweet cat Babs had a bit of a medical mystery that is now *hopefully* resolved. I'll spare the details, but I ended up at PetMedic this week in the late afternoon. First, amazingly, they have 3 reserved parking spots behind the building which were all available when I arrived. There is also ample metered parking available in the neighborhood. I had called ahead, and so the receptionist greeted us by name (well, the cat's name!) and immediately took him back to see the doctor (it was an emergency situation). They brought me into an exam room to wait, and as I was having a minor meltdown, offered me a hug, brought me tissues, and offered water, tea, "whatever I needed"-- which was very sweet. The doctor (Dr. McCoy) popped in quickly, introduced herself, and double checked that it was ok to give Babs a sedative and some oxygen which was needed immediately before doing additional diagnostics. I agreed, she left, and shortly thereafter a tech came in to get some background. I had a small wait, and then got a text with a proposed plan and high and low cost estimate. As soon as the text came through Dr. McCoy came back in and walked me through it all, why it was necessary, and talked through the cost. Was it cheap? No, it was emergency vet services. (If you don't have pet insurance you are honestly either a billionaire or insane. We get 90% reimbursed!) But I think given allll the stuff they had to do, it felt pretty reasonable. I got clear discharge instructions and so much compassion from everyone I spoke with. It turned out their dx was likely not correct, but they treated his symptoms appropriately and my vet a few days later said that their dx did make sense given what he was presenting at the time. Since we had a very negative experience at Blue Pearl Charlestown last year (the closest one to our house), we are THRILLED that there is such a caring and efficient urgent care facility within a short drive and with parking. Though, respectfully, I hope I never have to see them again

They said I should bring her in but recommended waiting until shift change at 7-8am. Got there about 745 and she was taken right back. I was brought into a room and few minutes later the vet came in and said they'd done a physical exam already and asked me to explain why I was there. He said based on everything I said, he believed she had a brain tumor and we could do an MRI but the treatment would only manage symptoms which would get worse quickly and could include seizures, personality change and aggression. We made the difficult decision to help my baby pass on. They did not rush me and were super understanding. I had brought her blanket and toys and treats as I wasn't sure how long we would be there so she was very comfortable. The entire thing took about two hours which was much faster than I expected.

This is in response to "Business Manager Abby K's" response to my review on 5/20/26. Facts: We were trying to not name specific names in my initial review on 5/20/26 to protect the honest employees and give confidentiality. 1. Dr, Sweet said an infection could not have occurred so quickly during their care. Basically impossible as it takes more time for an infection to develop. Dr. Sweet was extremely kind and truthful. We appreciate his transparency to this day. 2. Dr. Sweet did not do the original surgery, but did the incision revision (2nd surgery) and said the reason the initial surgery/incision opened up was because instead of doing internal and external stitches from the initial surgery they only did internal stitches and external glue, which he said was not the proper method as the glue couldn't hold the incision closed because the incision was too big. 3. Ocean State Veterinary Specialists would never provide us with of any documentation of lab results showing any infection that supposedly occurred under their care, but they stated he had a very generic infection, which we believe was attempt to cover their mistake, as Dr. Sweet stated an infection couldn't have developed so quickly. 4. We've consulted with other experienced Vets since this matter, with all relevant information/photos/etc provided to them and they all confirm that our dog was mishandled. We very much appreciate Dr, Sweet for fixing our dog and his transparency. He's a very honest and qualified surgeon. Unfortunately the hospital Dr Sweet works for is not. While we promptly paid the collection account in full as soon as it was posted, we will be seeking most importantly changes and also damages through legal channels regarding this matter. We are not looking for any monetary reward besides our lost time and expenses, but rather aiming for this institution to improve itself, not blame the public, admit when they've made a mistake and not defraud the public at the same time. It will cost us more unnecessary expense to see this through, but with most of our experience on camera in their own hospital with this event and just the moral aspect of doing the right thing for pets we will incur this expense on behalf of others that perhaps cannot afford it and more importantly, all our pets. Please go somewhere else in the meantime for the safely of your pet and research past court cases against this company. If you feel this response is in unfounded, I welcome direct contact for any questions.

When we got there, they took Lulu right away and then within 15 minutes we saw the vet. They had to keep her there for a few hours in order to fit her in their rotation of patients and they sent us home and they said that they will call us when she is ready. They called at 10:30 pm and we went to pick her up. Excellent service. The removal of stitches was a bit of a hassle. I call a few days later to set an appointment to remove the stitches and they said that I don't need an appointment, that I should just call when I am ready to come down with LuLu and they will let me know what time would be good. When I called on the 12th day, the phones were transferred to Bourne. They told me that the Dennis location is closed and only open on the weekends??? Why didn't they tell me that when I called to set an appointment. Even thou the stitches removal was included in the price I paid $1600, I ended up call my Vet Tech, that comes to my house to do my dogs nails, came over the next morning and removed them for me. Her name is Lianna Heard, Cape Cod Veterinary Technician Services. She is extremely careful and great with all three of my dogs. I highly recommend her for any home services for your pets.

As soon as we walked in the receptionist looked at him and said "oh looks like it may be an abscess" which is what we were thinking too. Granted he has some vet anxieties which we told them about, Dr. Lee did not examine our dog at all and did not even weigh him. He poked the swollen part of his face with a pen like object and said since it's hard, it's a tumor. He wrote down three possible tumors on a piece of paper, said "I'm sorry to tell you this" several times, and said an X-ray would be 2k and surgery would be 10k, but would be risky due to placement and his age. We left with antibiotics and pain meds. We took our dog to Angell Memorial in Boston the next morning. After extensive testing and examinations, they confirmed it was an ABSCESS, not a tumor and drained it, and also drained all the fluid from his neck. They also nicely informed us the antibiotic Dr. Lee prescribed was nowhere near enough for my dog's weight. Makes sense since they didn't even weigh him. See below post from another lady who was also told her dog had CANCER when it was just an asbcess. It's awful to tell patients their dog has cancer, without any extensive testing, and to make them worry all night long that their dog is going to die. I'll never bring my animals back to this location. I'd also like to add the sheet of paper he gave us where he listed the three cancers it probably was.
