If I could give them (and Sam in particular ) 10 stars I would. I have an extreme situation. my cat is obsessed with their treats. I mean, if we ever (heaven forbid) run out, he will scream, blood curdling screams until I can reach Sam and check to make sure my next delivery is in the mail, turn up the music and hold my breath until that little white box appears in my mailbox. just a couple of days ago, we were in a crisis. between the screams and the sad face I was considering walking to a Oak Bluffs. I called and spoke with Sam, who couldn't have been more understanding the severity of the situation. she looked into express mail and it was going to be very expensive and the cookies would have arrived just one day earlier. I ordered earplugs from Amazon and we soldiered on. I kept him distracted with a bird on a string for as long as I could and he made it through the night, sharing some honeydew melon seemed to satisfy. the next morning, in anticipation of another day of turmoil, I have to admit, I kept my distance from my furry friend as much as possible. the mail arrived around noon and I thought about going for a long walk, but I had plenty of work to do here. imagine my delight when I saw that white box with the Vineyard return address. It was my turn to scream. Both of us spent the rest of the day smiling. Each of our prayers had been answered. I filled Star's bowl and he ran up immediately to get started on the cookies. I haven't tasted them myself. But they must be something pretty special given his love of them. let me add, there are no other cookies that he will even try. He is a bit of an eccentric when it comes to food. One of the best parts of these treats is that they are really healthy. so you can feel good about indulging your kitty friend. Just don't ever run out! read more

I stop here every year to grab my pups some goods (about 14 years since I adopted them). Toto recognizes the box every time. I get him the lobster, crab, and then some little fillers. I've bought mugs as gifts for other dog owners too. They seem to be good quality and are handmade. Staff is kind of a hit or miss here. read more

Seriously no dog clothes?! Wth I assumed a place called Good Dog Goods would have more than treats, leashes, and collars, especially in Oak Bluffs! Unfortunately that was not the case. They do have every leash, collar, and harness in a variety of sizes and colors, though. The one good thing I can say about this place was that they had fresh bulk treats. Unfortunately I was on vacation and unable to bring them back to my pups. read more

Maybe it's because I love Martha's Vineyard so much, but I adore this store. It's set in a cottage/Capey style store front, and has SO much merchandise set in this little store! Good Dog carries a WIDE variety of collars and leashes, far extensive than I've seen in any other pet store/boutique I've ever set foot in. They also carry a variety of dog toys, as well as human knick-knacks like picture frames and such. Of course I had to bring back Ryno a ton of stuff like home made cookies, collars and leashes and a cute little stuffed lobster to match his collar and leash set! All of the staff was very attentive and friendly. I'll be back for sure when I visit the Vineyard! read more

Wow. We just had a care package delivered by Kerry for our sick pup with terminal cancer. She was like an angel...knocked on the door with a care package and our pup immediately dig into the delicious treat and lobster stuffie. She made our day. Best pet supply store on the island! They have the cutest collars and a huge assortment of toys and treats. 10/10 would recommend.

The vast array of collars and leashes is what sets this place apart. The collars and matching leashes are mostly in the MV motif; lobsters, shells, boats, etc. However, they do have a lot of seasonal designs and have matching harnesses for smaller dogs too. We can't visit MV without picking something up for the dogs here. This year we grabbed a whale collar for the big guy, but didn't find anything for the little one, though she loved the treats we brought back for her. Food selection and prices are ok, but nothing to write home about. read more

We love this place! A very welcoming environment for dogs, we brought our yellow lab puppy here to peruse the aisles. We found some good bully sticks which actually lasted longer than the normal 2 hours. Plus, this store has a GREAT selection of collars and leashes. We live in Boston so we don't get down to the Vineyard very often. That said, we ordered a new collar and matching leash online from Good Dog Goods for our newly adopted Chocolate Lab. When we received our order we found a wonderful hand written note explaining that "they noticed that the cost of shipping to Boston via UPS was pretty expensive. So they shipped the package via USPS and included a package of organic dog treats to offset the cost of shipping." Amazing customer service and our Lab loved the treats of course! Not to mention the quality of the collar and leash we ordered were superb! We will definitely be back to visit Good Dog Goods in the future! read more

I Love Good Dog Goods. Their collars and leashes are beautiful, unique and long-lasting. Their service is great, whether shopping in person or placing an order from afar. I ordered a custom made peace sign collar for my extra large English Mastiff and it showed up within days with a nice hand written note and a small gift bag of treats. What a nice touch! I placed an online order from Good Dog Goods. After waiting several days with no shipping status I left a msg., no call back. I emailed a request for shipping status, no reply. I called the store and spoke to Gina who said she could not get to a computer to look up my order and promised I would get a call back immediately from Kerry, again no response. I emailed once again, again no response. I left another message, no response. I called a 4th time and got the owner Carrie. She made an excuse that she did not get two of the msgs. as well as several other excuses for bad customer service and continued to make an excuse that I was told someone was working on the situation AND she admitted she did not even have the item she sold me online, so I hung up. I waited 13 days for bad excuses and no order. Be careful when ordering from this store online. read more
