Have been coming to this location for dine in and take out since it opened. Last night will probably be the last. Ordered two pizzas, well done and light sauce. Was told 20 minutes. Arrived within 15 minutes and pizzas were already sitting in the window. Got them home and immediately noticed that they were NOT light sauce. You could see the sauce oozing out from the cheese. The first bite, could tell that they were NOT well done. Almost doughy. Had to put in the toaster oven. Even the cheese was overwhelming and tasted different. Called to let them know and they did offer to make new ones. No way was I driving back over to pick up pizzas that were made wrong in the first place. Quality has dropped. I ordered th half house salad. It was huge and delicious with mixed greens and lots of veggies. Their ranch is fabulous. It could definitely be shared. I ordered a medium Oggi special. It was really good. I got the regular crust but you can also do a thin crust. The Oggi Hazy IPA was great and only 6% which is so good for a hazy. Prices are very reasonable. Monday Night Football family dinner at Oggi's. It had been a minute since we last came here. We had a table right by the bar and as expected it was quite noisy. We ordered some boneless wings, a couple of pizzas, and a beet salad. There was some confusion about the amount of chicken wing as we ordered one serving with two flavors and they brought two servings. The waitress was a bit argumentative, but they sorted it out and didn't charge us extra. We ordered one cocktail and it took a while to deliver it. I ordered quite a few times from this Oggi's pizza on the Slice app. This was my first time going into the restaurant for a pick up. The pizza was supposed to have been ready 24 minutes prior. After talking to 3 different people and waiting an additional 15 to 20 min at the counter and seeing no pizza with my name in the pick up area and seeing how disorganized the 3 girls in this area were and completely lacking in any basic customer service skills... they produced a pizza and a bag which allegedly had my wings. I asked," So did it get lost?" " "Oh no, it was sitting in the back in a warmer." Hmm okay .. I thought to myself and quietly took it to the car. I went to put it in the trunk to keep it away from my dog who was patiently waiting on this treacherously long rainy NYE drive to retrieve the pizza. I happened to look in the wing bag. Then, I realized they got my order wrong. I should have taken a picture. They were burnt, with black char marks, bone in and mostly sauceless. Mind you, their boneless buffalo and bbq wings are usually heavily sauced and the reason I drove there. I go inside and again it takes awhile to not only get acknowledged but to have someone come up to you at the counter. With no apology whatsoever they take a look at my receipt and then they take the wing box that had been outside the restaurant back into the restaurant. That was a wow for me. Then, 5 to 10 minutes later they bring me out the correct ones. All in all this was probably an hour and 1/2 ordeal. Then on top of all of this, I dealt with the Slice app after the fact that took the restaurants word when they lied and said my order was correct. Would not recommend this Oggis. They were a mess, not friendly and they definitely had enough help. I watched their long order line and the restaurant worker running around like a chicken with her head cut off but actually accomplishing nada. Then, there were two more of her behind the counter helping which did practically nothing. Pizza was cold, wings were wrong. Apparently the customer is always wrong there too. The Oggi's out of state had way better customer service in person. This location it was shockingly awful. *Update: after eating just their pizza, my stomach has been upset and cramping for the rest of the evening. **Update, update: my stomach is still really messed up today just from eating their pizza. I have recently started coming to Oggies Vista and my experience has consistently been excellent. Typically I drop by on Friday to meet my friends for happy hour. Maria and Elizabeth do an excellent job covering the bar traffic on Fridays. They welcome everyone and do a great job of remembering their regular customers! We came here about 8:45 on Friday night even though both the Yelp page and oggis website say it's open til 9 we thought we'd try. And sure enough they were open and the hand made sign on the door said they were open later. We were seated instantly and it was pretty busy. Everyone seemed to be having a great time. We chose it because nothing is open late over here. Our server was super friendly and happily took our order. This is a neighborhood sports bar, nothing fancy but you can get decent bar food. We split the short rib nachos and garden salad. They were both tasty, the garden salad was very fresh!! I wanted pizza/flatbread but the pizza oven was broken. One of the best items is their ranch dressing which is house made and, as we were told, has won awards. It has a clean rich buttermilk taste with a nice touch of herbs to make it the perfect sauce for dipping Oggi's sticks and french fries. Grab some one topping Oggi's sticks during happy hour which come with marinara sauce and ask for ranch dressing as well. For those who don't drink, ask for iced tea with mango syrup to compliment just about any of their dishes. After Oggi's sticks, another go-to is a bowl of chicken tortilla soup paired with the blackened Santa Fe chicken salad. We usually split both items between the two of us. Pro tip: if you ask them to split the salad they will give you an extra garlic knot so each person has their own. The Gouda cheese and dressing on the Santa Fe chicken salad really makes it a standout. They use their award-winning ranch dressing with a touch of barbecue sauce to dress the salad with just the right amount of flavor that is not overwhelming for the greens. The appetizer, soup, and salad was plenty for our meal, so we didn't order an entree this time. But there's always room for dessert! We polished off Happy Hour with the salted caramel warm cookie bake served with vanilla ice cream. The added plus was watching the Padres win in the 9th inning. Even though I usually grab my food to-go, every time I walk in the place looks great -- clean, welcoming, and perfect for hanging out or catching a game. The pizza here is the real star. Staff was polite but they rarely stopped by and they forgot to bring out a water glass that was promised when they did. We were there talking for almost an hour and were finished eating maybe 20 minutes before the check came. They didn't seem particularly busy. I imagine they just get a lot of traffic courtesy of being right next to the courthouse. I'm not sure about the vista area but there's got to be better options at the price point. The waitress didn't know what the soup of the day was (could only say "it's spicy", but knew nothing else) and didn't care at all to check to let us know. She checked on us as soon as our food had arrived, asking how the food is, but I told her it looks great but we haven't tried it yet. Then, she didn't check on us again until WAY after we were done eating. I waited for about 15 minutes AFTER we were done eating to see her at all. Then I asked for a box, and when she brought it she had her check book INSIDE the box (where my food is supposed to go)... I asked her to please get a new box that's clean, without her check book being put inside of it.. She did not reply at all, just walked away. More than 5 minutes later she brought another box, resting her check book on top of the open box.. I reluctantly placed a napkin inside of it before putting my food in there. I believe our server's name was Bryn, and she was incredibly impressive. Her descriptions of the happy hour items and her personal recommendations were exceptional. We tried several of her favorites! She had a real knack for anticipating our needs, too. Our drinks were always refilled, and any sides or condiments we needed were already there. Our waitress checked in on us frequently and was the perfect balance of attentiveness without being intrusive. It's rare to find service this good these days.
