Our son last day of school request was to hang out with his friends "at the fountain". His excitement when he came home, he said they went to Shane's and his friends pitched in to get a pizza and they watched the soccer world cup! He said the staff at Shane's was so nice to them, THANK YOU FOR THAT! Crazy that he was 4 years old when he first went to Shane's and now, he is 13 yrs old going to Shane's without his parents!!! He will have such great memories about this place. PS. This got me thinking maybe for "older" grades ( 8th+++) Shane's could offer a discount or a free something if they can show they have A-B'S, everything now a days in on an App and they all have phones. But something's have turned for the worse and I mean I know it's kinda odd to order French fries or cheese sticks but I've noticed they tasted frozen last time I got them. Pretty cool little pizza joint hidden in the hidden elite village of San Elijo. LOL Very homey and comforting and friendly and exactly what you would expect by the name. Stopped by here for lunch and had a great meal. Customer service was the best. friendly and helpful. Got something off the menu and was actually told we could order anything we see anyway, the pizza's specifically. I have a feeling if I wanted t change anything on the menu they would accommodate. Stopped in yesterday with the family for a quick meal and some adult beverages. Was greeted by Chris in the outdoor area, welcomed us to the spot and asked if we needed anything before settling in. Attentive service from there on out. On the way back from a bathroom break, swung by the bar and met Gwenna. She was quick to notice I had nothing in hand and remedied that quickly. We actually ordered a customized pizza but ended up with a Buffalo chicken pizza which didn't hurt my feelings because it was delicious! It had a nice tang from the Buffalo sauce and hit all the right spots. I was craving carbs, so I also ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, which came with Parmesan crusted breadsticks. OMG. The breadsticks were like heavenly pockets that I could've easily eaten a dozen of those and nothing else. The meatballs were on point and very moist and delicate. We love that Shane's Pizza of San Elijo Hills is available just down the street from us! The Surfer Dude is my go-to and one of the better tasting pies I've ever had. Only problem is the price....pizzas are expensive here compared to anywhere else. As a result we don't frequent Shane's. Love that they have local brews on tap and always good games playing on the patio TVs. The staff there is normally fairly young and always friendly. Will look forward to our monthly visit sometime soon... Budget permitting of course read more

I ordered a "large" pizza and a 2 liter of soda. It cost $38.39! I was so stunned that I went home and measured it. It's only 14". $31 for a 14" pizza and $5 for soda. Those prices are insane!
