I haven't been to O'Brians in a few years, but their food is just as good as I remembered. They have a full bar and cold beers on draft. Service was friendly and fast. We shared the Reuben egg rolls for appetizer and I had the eggplant panini for my entree. I loved the flavors on the sandwich, which had eggplant, roasted peppers, burrata, and fig jam. Yum!! This place is so much more than an "Irish pub". Just judging the place by the name alone you would think it was an Irish pub but it's a nice restaurant/bar in a beautiful setting right on a golf course. They have many different cultures of cuisine from Italian to Irish and American traditional. The roast chicken dinner is literally a half of a roasted chicken that is so juicy and cooked to perfection. The "sauce" that comes with the chicken is a garlic butter sauce that they say is drippings/juices from when they make the chicken. The penne vodka with chicken has so much flavor it was next level. The chicken is blacked and the vodka sauce is supreme. Great spot for a nice lunch after a quick 9, a little driving on the range or a sit down dinner with the family! I came back here for another long day of eating and drinking. The food I tried is below. Shepherd's Pie - This was a special being offered. It was on the smaller side for it being a meal, but it was good. I thought the meat could have been flavored a little more. Loaded Waffle Fries - This had pulled pork, pickled jalapenos, cheese sauce, lime crema, brown gravy, and a queso fresco. These were particularly good. The fries were crispy and held up with the plethora of toppings present. The pork was tender and flavorful as well. Bavarian Pretzel - This came with a spicy mustard dip and cheese dip. This came out warm and was crispy on the outside while being soft on the inside. Mussels Marinara - This came with a tomato broth, chorizo, fennel, basil, and some toast. The mussels were okay. There were a few bad ones as they did not open. The sauce was simple, but good and the chorizo enhanced the overall flavor. Reuben Pizza - (see previous review for similar thoughts except the Russian dressing was not too over powerful this time) Irish Egg Rolls - (see previous review for similar thoughts) Wings - The buffalo and garlic parmesan sauces were ordered. The Buffalo was the better of the two. There seemed to be a hint of Old Bay present as well. The garlic parmesan was okay. I thought there could have been a little more flavor present. Both order of wings was also crispy and of decent size. Sausage & Ricotta Detroit Style - This supposedly came with vodka sauce, but it just tasted like tomato sauce. Wow! I was completely shocked, along with the 5 others in my party at the amount of issues that would be considered common practice in an eating establishment. Obviously, these are not part of your protocol. Our server was very sweet, patient, had a sense of humor and seemed to know the menu. Evidently, I kindly made the mistake of asking her to clear appetizer platters and plates, since she responded in a snappy tone " I am".. If I was rude and/or snappy, I might understand her response. I couldn't be nicer. I didn't complain about the 4 appetizers we ordered. First, we received the Bavarian pretzel, which was very good. The three other appetizers we did not receive for thirteen minutes after the pretzel. All three were awful and cold! The wings were too tangy, the muscles were fishy, by the way, serve them with a serving spoon. The fried pickles had too much pepper. Let's move on to dinner only because we have to. One person in my party ordered a pizza which came out right after the appetizers, 10 minutes before the rest of the dinners. The rest of the dinners were delivered in 3 deliveries. All except one person who received his meal 15 minutes after everyone else? Needless to say, it was refused. We didn't ask prior because there was no one to ask and honestly, the way the food was coming out we figured it would come out in a few minutes. Not 15 minutes. None of the meals were hot or enjoyed, most people barely ate their meal. We were almost done with our meals (what we ate of them) and the server went to the gentleman with no food and asked if she could get him something else. That was about after at least another 15 minutes. That gesture should have been made immediately when the meal was refused. Then a reputable establishment would have a manager come over and at least offer an apology. I brought this group here for the first and last time and I must say, I was totally embarrassed for myself and for you. Do better.... You will never see me or anyone from my party in your establishment again. read more

I'm upset because I waited to come here. I kept reading that the food was good but I don't play golf and I live 15 mins away in Kenilworth. But my goodness! After my husband got done w his round of golf, my daughter and I came and played mini golf and then ate an early dinner at oh Brian's. The pizza, the burger?! About a dozen beer on tap. My Sam Winter was cold and fresh. We ordered empanadas which were decent and a fish wrap that was very good. Accompanying fries were also good. Service was very attentive as there were at least 4 bartenders seeing to it that both table and bar patrons were served promptly. Live music a plus. Used to come here quite often 4 year ago, they used to have this amazing mushroom dish that I went back for 3 nights in a a row. Just recently came back to the area. The menu has changed and had i not been years ago I might not have given this menu a chance as it doesn't look very imaginative. However the dishes we ended up choosing did not disappoint in execution. Shrimp Thai salad - tons of big pieces of shrimp, delicious flavor Chicken penne - beautiful flavorful sauce, chicken has excellent seasoning and is tender and well prepared. Beef empanadas - loved the dough on these. The filling is spicy and tasty, big chili vibes. French onion soup is heavy on the nutmeg. Fine but I wouldn't get it twice. I stumbled upon this place purely by accident. It was a Friday night and I stopped in for a quick drink. Honestly I think it's hard to find if you don't know it's there. The parking lot is huge and at night it's difficult to see the place. It's quite dark. I tripped walking as I couldn't see well. As stated, I just had drinks but the place was very lively, everyone having fun- not a seat in the house so make reservations. The band of just 3 guys was phenomenal. The sound was amazing. They were very talented & a pleasure to listen to. Unfortunately I did not try the food, but the ribs smelled divine. Will have to try next time. Fun place! Outdoor dining as well. Super casual. He never checked on our food, never asked if we wanted another drink or anything else and brought our check immediately after we finished dinner. He never asked If we wanted coffee or dessert. Then, a hostess came and asked how much longer we would be- how many more minutes she asked. She said people were waiting for our table. No one was waiting and there were numerous empty tables. We left and spoke to the 2 other hostesses and asked why we were being rushed. She said we had an hour and a half time limit. Meet friends for dinner, our waiter rushed us from the mom we all were seated. Our food did not all arrive together since one of us ordered a pizza. While we were talk the waiter dropped our check on the table without asking if we'd care for another drink or coffee and dessert. Within a few minutes after that the hostess came to our table an asked us if we were ready to leave. Since our reservation was made online you are allotted to an hour and a half.There were still plenty of empty tables in the dining area. Will not be patronizing O'Brians. Updated review. Former huge fan, Im in there at least once a month with my family or just the wife and I for date night. Stopped in last night for a few drinks and some food to-go. Mind you, my son had already eaten so we just ordered him a 'small/kids' milk. The bill comes and it's $4 bucks for a milk ? I get margins and mark up but I can get a gallon for that price. Not to mention kids meals are only $8 and include a drink or milk so I would have spent the extra $4 and gotten a meal as well. For the record - service was outstanding, no problems there. This time was no different as I was meeting a friend for a drink and bar bites. I went with the pulled pork tacos and my friend ordered the wings while we both split an order of spinach artichoke dip. The tacos were slightly charred and the chipotle aioli added a slight kick. The cilantro added freshness and the pork was very tender. My guest was quite satisfied with her wing order as she didn't have anything bad to say. I was able to steal a wing as I didn't want to waste any food. The wing had just the right level of heat but was not overpowering. The spinach and artichoke dip featured a tangy cream cheese and enough artichoke to balance out the flavor. Overall great food and ambience but nothing over the top. read more

I have never been treated worse by any restaurant in my life than at Oh' Brian's in Clark. I was a very regular lunch customer here for several years (I play golf almost weekly at the adjacent Hyatt Hills course). My friend Peter and I have eaten here together over 60 times. The food has progressed from pretty good to mediocre at best (probably due to changes in staff and suppliers), but it was conveniently located for lunch after golf. Our typical weekly bill was over $50.00, with tip (always at least 20%) and tax. Over the years, Peter (who is over age 70) has made occasional, but very polite, comments to the wait staff about the declining quality of the food here. Based on the lack of any response, it was clear that the staff had no interest in his comments, which were always delivered in a light and casual tone. However, he continued to occasionally offer what seemed like constructive and warranted criticism, particularly coming from a long-time customer. (Let me assure you that Peter meant no malice. In fact, he is one of the friendliest people you will ever meet!) Last month, we were informed in a very hostile, personal, and face-to-face manner by the manager, Colleen, that we were no longer welcome at this establishment. She said it was because "the staff felt threatened by Peter." Colleen actually yelled at me outside the restaurant. This confrontation was unprovoked and completely unnecessary. The manager of the adjacent golf pro shop, who witnessed the interaction, even went out of his way (riding out onto the golf course) to apologize to me for her actions. No apology came from the restaurant. A few weeks after this incident, Peter tried to make amends with Colleen in person (for what exactly, we're not sure!), but she refused to talk to him, walking away in a belligerent and offensive manner. We have tried to contact the restaurant owner, Brian Costello, but he has not responded. However, let me warn you - the management of this restaurant has effectively banished two of its best customers, simply for making justified and polite comments about the quality of its food. Needless to say, we will never enter this place again. read more

Fans of creative cocktails will love the new mixologist's "Pep in Your Step" - a habanero kick to the tequila with a lick of salt and a suck of lime you're in hot tequila heaven :) followed by the pure comfort of the scrumptious winter squash rigatoni, the crisp and fresh Thai shrimp salad (OMG), and the pizza and burger ordered by our group were all met with rave reviews.
