This is a local establishment with a laid-back atmosphere that makes one always feel welcome. Nearly everything that you order is great.

I am disappointed in manager Cappi's lack of situational awareness. First off, the hours posted on…read moreGoogle Maps, TripAdvisor, and Yelp are entirely wrong. They close at ten on Saturday nights. They shut the lights off while you are mid-drink, sending the folks they just served out the door drunk. March 9th was the worst experience at a public establishment in my entire life. The female bartender with a nose piercing like a bull kept eavesdropping on my private conversation. She would act like a main character and jump into my conversation with her opinions, which no one asked for. Sometimes, she would scream across the bar. She took personal offense to a private discussion about the early closing at 10 pm on a Saturday. The convo was not for her, nor was it negative. A few blokes were looking for their next move of the night, all while trying to have a good time away from our wives and kids. The nose ringer got mad when we commented on her snarky remarks, took our half-drunk beers, and tossed them. Then she began screaming like a blue-haired, saying, "Get the f*** out; don't ever come back." Literally at the top of her lungs until her voice cracked. The manager Cappi's solution was telling us to stop egging her on, and he then threatened to call the cops. Meanwhile, we already paid and, unfortunately, tipped. I told Cappi he needs to train his employees better. She charged at me like a wild hippo, and as I stood my ground and looked her in her face, she invited me to fight her boyfriend, who was outside with his friends(incels). All while Cappi was pretending to hold her back. He didn't stop her from any of her spoiled child antics. This place is a joke of an establishment. I want to buy this place just to fire everyone. I've been in the service industry for 20 years, and I would not retrain a degenerate, inept lunatic who can not elaborate emotions verbally but would rather scream and scold a customer. What a waste of prime real estate opportunity. Honestly, I think she was a druggie. You ever go into a bar anticipating the druggie waitress to invite you to fight her boyfriend after her manager suggested to call the police all because she wants you to leave within 30 minutes of serving you alcohol? She wanted to do some drugs that had left her system by the end of her shift. We all saw it in her as soon as we sat down. She was mad she was not high. This is the spot for that low-class smooth brain energy. one may say- jersey trash. It must have blown in from the East Brunswick dump and made a home in South Plainfield next to a dead diner. Like a NY pigeon

We got half Cajun dry rub, half gochujang sauce - both flavors were great. We both ordered entrees from the specials menu - the spicy chicken rigatoni was *actually* spicy and flavorful, and the fiesta chicken salad was fresh and crisp. The drinks were also strong & tasty. Prior to this dinner visit, I've been here once before, sitting at the bar for lunch - I had a house salad with chicken - also great! The atmosphere is cool and somewhat sporty, but still feels like a standard sit-down restaurant. The service is great around lunch/early dinner time, but can become a little laggy once the place starts to fill up and get busy.

To start, we ordered the Loaded Bacon Potato Soup and the French Onion Soup. My loaded potato soup was rich, creamy, and full of flavor--definitely one of the highlights of the meal. For our entrées, I ordered the Short Rib Grilled Cheese with a side of Cajun Curly Fries, and my mom had the burger. To drink, I had the Hawaiian Martini, and my mom ordered a beer. The Hawaiian Martini was delicious and easily my favorite part of the meal. The biggest downside was the service. The restaurant wasn't busy, but it felt understaffed. We ended up being helped by a second server partway through our meal, and the overall service was slower than expected. My mom also wasn't happy with the temperature of her food, which took away from her experience. Overall, the food and drinks were enjoyable--especially the soup and the Hawaiian Martini--but the inconsistent service and food temperature issues kept it from being a perfect visit.
