They were friendly, helpful and effective from the tasting to the very end of the wedding day, when the staff went above and beyond to help politely usher guests out of the venue so we could make our curfew on time. Lori and her team are pros. They knew what we wanted and they executed. They even provided a private dinner for my husband and I so that we could have what we heard was impossible: actually enjoy our wedding meal and spend some quality 1:1 time together on our special day. At the tasting, Lori brought out a meal we hadn't even ordered: their melt-in-your-mouth short rib. My dad and my husband tried it and after one bite, they knew we had to have it on the menu. Most of our guests got it, and it was a smash hit. I had their incredible baked haddock with mashed potatoes and green beans almandine -- out of this world. The signature salad was perfect. Our vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free guests were delighted by their Mediterranean pasta dishes and food allergy guests were accommodated and well fed, as well, from apps to dessert. The bar served up our signature drinks with precision and flair, working in our embossed cocktail napkins and monogramed stirrers. We are so grateful and the rave reviews from our guests are a testament to professionalism, talent and care of Creative Catering. I researched local eateries that had outdoor seating and made my way down to Zuzu's. Though most of the tables were roped off to the side, I noticed a couple open ones in the front, so I proceeded. The small shop is quaint and cute, but the menu is ample. The sandwich selections sounded scrumptions and I had a hard time picking just one. I finally settled on the French Chicken that includes grilled chicken, goat cheese, asparagus, tomato, greens and herb mayo. You get your choice of panini, sandwich bread or a wrap. Not many places offer flavored wraps and I am happy to report that Zuzu's does (white, wheat or spinach). I got the spinach. I asked the worker if the patio was open and she directed me to the same two patio tables I had seen when I first approached. She seemed a little stressed or preoccupied, but no matter, I was content to enjoy the day. I waited at my table for the sandwich to arrive and got to do some people watching along main street in the crisp air. My sandwich arrived in less than 10 minutes and I dived right in. Delicious! I love how it was laid out, every layer provided an even bite. I'm a sucker for anything with goat cheese on it, so it was already a win, but I hadn't seen the asparagus listed on the menu, so I was a little taken aback. But I have to say that it provided a perfect little crunch. The chicken was tender and the herb aioli was uplifting. I read a previous review about the Zuzu's pickles, and I have to agree. I actually make my own pickles at home and would prefer a more fresh sliced pickle on the side than the one that was provided. Overall, my first time at Zuzu's was a 4 star experience, and I look forward to enjoying many more delectable menu items!

Instead, the tone came across as dismissive, even going so far as to emphasize how successful their business is and how our business as a customer was not needed, which felt inappropriate given the situation. Delays can be understandable, but how a business handles them, especially afterward, is what really matters. Unfortunately, this experience left us feeling undervalued as a client and I could not recommend.

Taste of Summer and Xyomie, their sales manager, on the other hand, were helpful and excited to work with us right from the beginning. First, Xyomie helped us find a menu that fit the budget and feel of our wedding. We chose a grilling menu that included chicken, steak, and shrimp as well as a few sides and appetizers. Xyomie promptly answered every email from me over about six months, including one the week before the wedding asking to add more to the menu. She also explained with a lot of detail how the day would go and gave us all the info we needed to be ready for the event. Our wedding was on the Cape so the company had to travel for the event and they were prompt and ready to work upon their arrival. The food was delicious and we have gotten so many compliments from our guests. One friend told us that we won the prize for best food out of all the college weddings. A chef grilled right at the buffet table so all of the meat was served right after cooking. The caterers even packed up leftovers for us that we're still eating three days later. When I walked up to the buffet, the lead caterer introduced himself and it turned out to be Dave himself, the owner of the company. We were so grateful to have the owner overseeing our event. The staff was also great with clean up and kept the food and alcohol - related parts of the event running smoothly and on time. Our only recommendation would be to get actual silverware if you are serving the steak. We used disposables and it was a little hard to cut the steak with the plastic knives, but that's not the fault of the caterers. You will absolutely be happy with the service, prices, and food from Taste of Summer!
