We were in Waco on vacation for a week and every morning we would come by here to pick up an açaí bowl because it was that good!! I always got the mini Berry Blend with strawberries and French vanilla granola toppings, and drizzled with honey. The mini bowls come with 2 toppings and though honey and agave are part of the toppings list, it's not counted as one of your two toppings of choice. The super flavorful Açaí blend is like a nice creamy sorbet and perfect smoothie consistency that instantly melts in your mouth. The sweetness of the honey drizzle is always just right! The small chunky granola gives a balanced flavor and added crunch texture! The mini is always just the right size breakfast for me. I was here during the Christmas week and they had all kinds of fun deals going. On the first day I tried this place, they said the deal was that with any sized bowl I can get 3 additional toppings. So my mini bowl that already came with 2 toppings and free honey/agave drizzle had an additional 3 toppings, making a total of 5 toppings and honey drizzle! It was so much that it wouldn't fit in the mini bowl. They had to put it in a medium bowl instead (see pics for this special order). My 3 additional toppings were mango, blueberries, and banana. The blueberries were a little sour that day and there was a bit too much banana to the ratio of other fruit and açaí blend. The mango were in frozen cubes so it was a bit cruchy and tasteless because of its frozen state. But even so, it was nevertheless a really awesome açaí bowl! The second deal I got was on the last day they were open before Christmas. They had a "12 Days of Christmas" drawing where you just draw a sticky note from a paper bag and see if you get a free meal. They never offered me this deal until their last day even though I saw the sign there every day but they probably just forgot cause they were training new staff. But I stuck my hand in there and was lucky to draw a free meal card that day! I only ordered my usual mini bowl and didn't order anything else but I got it for free! I made an emergency trip to Waco last week to see my mother in the hospital. In an effort to find my mom the best nutrition that was easy on her stomach I happened upon this little gem. I'm so glad I found this place. I visited this shop 3 days in a row and each time my experience was great. The staff are all very sweet and personable. The shop is very clean and well organized. You can tell there is a strong pride in ownership. The menu is loaded with gut healthy vegan options perfect for a healthy fill up. I rocked the Coco PB Dream'n each day. After crushing some legit brisket and other bomb bbq on my trip it was nice to go vegan for breakfast each day. So the options are great. The food is decent. We had 2 orders of avocado "toast" but the bread didn't seem toasted, though it was high quality. We also ordered a smoothie and our order came out to right at $42.00. To say I was sticker shocked is an understatement. This is not something most people can afford. They need to lower their prices. I can buy a loaf of bread and a bag of organic avocados for around $10.00. My gluten free avocado toast with red pepper flakes was $11.75 folks...that's crazy. Never. Again. For that price you'd think my avocado toast would be piled high with avocado. It wasn't. The smoothie was excellent and decently priced. Overall we were satisfied but it's been a month and I still feel ripped every time I think about the avocado toast. read more

Oh My Juice is a little small store next to Spice Village in Waco. When you first walk, it's kind of a tight fit for all the customers. Which is kind of annoying. Let me talk about the açaí bowls! They are super flavorful and hit the spot on a warm day. They texture is consistent every time and the açaí bowl is smooth (a little thicker than a smoothie). For each bowl, they allow 3 toppings (i.e., coconut flakes, granola, fruits, chia seeds, etc) which is really nice since there is such a wide variety of choices to choose from. The price is pretty high for a large bowl (around $9) which isn't always worth it for the amount you get. Could have gotten 5 stars if it was about $6.50, but this is the only reason I would give it four stars. read more

OMJ is in a cute location by Spice Village and Roots Boutique, which attracts their ideal superfood loving shopper. It's in a really cramped space with two high tables; one of which is directly in front of the juice refrigerator and would involve violating someone's personal bubble if you wanted one of the drinks in there. Another issue was the lack of air conditioning. It had just rained earlier that day, and they had propped the door open, so it was especially hot and humid inside. This is definitely concerning since I noticed containers of fresh fruit just sitting out on the counter. There was also a halved banana sitting on top of the containers not wrapped in anything. The eccentric cashier took our money and then proceeded to refill the containers without wearing gloves or washing her hands...I'm talking about her entire hand scooping granola. Even worse, she wiped down the counters and then wiped the tops of the containers with the same rag. The menu was written in beautiful but unfortunately difficult to read cursive, and this is coming from someone who paints in cursive. There were no prices and I was not given a receipt, so I have no idea how much anything was actually supposed to cost. It ended up being around $25 for avocado toast, an acai bowl, and two smoothies. When deciding what to order, the same cashier recommended that my younger sister order the cherry smoothie instead of the berry one because we were already getting an acai bowl and that would just be "a clusterfuck of berry". The avocado toast was two slices of oat wheat bread from the grocery store with plain smashed avocado, sea salt, and halved cherry tomatoes on top. I literally could have made this at home. I acai bowl tasted strangely medicindal and nothing like anything I tasted before. The smoothies were smaller than a tall drink at Starbucks and didn't have a memorable taste. read more

The place is very small but they do have a bathroom and it's not like it's a restaurant where you need to sit and eat so the space is adequate. Cleanliness is very important in a place like this and it does fulfill this requirement, as it is very clean and well maintained. I got the green mornings on a friend's recommendation and it was excellent and fresh. The only reason I give it four stars and not five is the price point. Even for a place like this, almost 9 bucks for a small is outrageous. In Atlanta we have many juice shops equivalent to this one and even with inflation none of them exceed the 7 dollar mark for the same size. The price point did not match with the quality/quantity, in my opinion. I bought a couple cold pressed Fruit of the Spirit juices, which ran a tab of about $15 and was surprised to receive something pre-made in a small plastic container. I imagine they were made early in the morning and stocked in a fridge, but the whole point of getting a fresh pressed juice is ... it is fresh. Are you really saving that much time by prepackaging the products? It cheapens the experience. It would also be advised to have a label on the juice or listed somewhere on the menu that contains the nutritional information. The high cost provides a nice profit margin for the business, but as a consumer, that's not sustainable for being a regular. I was looking forward to doing a juice clean there, but with other clean options available in the area that possess better variety, value and taste, this business missed out. The footprint of the building feels like a small closet. There isn't room to sit down, enjoy or connect with a friend. I'm not sure why the business wouldn't go full food truck model to bring costs down and gain more of a customer base. read more
