Cutout in closet to get to shower valve that is supposed to be covered up by access panel.

I used the get a free quote service on Yelp to find a plumber that can swap out a Moen cartridge in my shower and got a response from Oh No Plumbing. I let them know that I had a replacement cartridge already from Moen and that the set screw on the handle was stripped. They said they could have someone swap out the shower cartridge for $166 so I got scheduled. Day of the appointment they don't show up until after 3pm for a 10am to 2pm arrival window. The plumber Chris goes to work and is unable to take the shower handle off to get to the cartridge because of the stripped screw which he should have already known about. I agree to let him cutoff the handle and install a new handle and trim kit. My wife had to run to Home Depot and pick up a new kit while he was cutting off the handle so he could install it. This ended up being a bad decision causing us to not have water for the whole house until the next day! He has a hard time getting the cartridge out even with the removal tool that was sent by Moen with the replacement cartridge and breaks off the cartridge inside of the removal tool. He ends up having to drill out the cartridge and what should have been a quick simple swap out is now taking about 2 hours. With the handle and cartridge removed he is having a hard time getting the new cartridge in and questions whether it is the correct one or not. Says that Moen has 6 different cartridges and this might not be the right one. No, this is a Moen Posi-Temp shower so it would be the Moen 1222/1222B cartridge which is what Moen had sent out and was same as what was already in there. After trying multiple times unsuccessfully to insert the new cartridge he says that we will need to have the valve replaced and it will cost $1,240! Well we are kinda of screwed at this point because the main water is off and can't be turned back on until the cartridge has been replaced so agree. But because they were late and took so long to get to this point they can no longer get the parts necessary to complete the job until the next morning meaning no water for us for the rest of the night. He says they will cut a whole in the closet to access the valve and then cover with a panel. He says they will put plastic down when he comes back and cover up vent so that dust doesn't go everywhere and will be here first thing in the morning after getting parts from the store they work with. He comes back in the morning and goes to work, doesn't use any plastic tarps like he said. He needs to borrow a pair of scissors to cut out the template for the new kit cause he didn't come prepared with all the tools he needs so I give him the pair of scissors we had in the kitchen. After he leaves I remembered I gave him the scissors and he didn't hand them back before he left. I messaged him after he left if he had them and he said no, that he thought he put them on the shelf on the closet. Checked all over and they are gone. Messaged him again if he was sure, he said he would check and didn't have them. My guess is he took them by mistake when he packed up and didn't want to drive all the way back here to return them. Now my wife is out of her $150 Cutco kitchen shears. The access panel that was supposed to cover the hole in the closet is a joke. You can see from the picture how poor of a job this was. I would definitely not recommend this company. They clearly are inexperienced and do not do quality work.

Highly recommend this company! My A/C went out on Thursday , they came out the same day, diagnosed the problem and gave an estimate, I called them the next day and by Saturday, everything was done professionally, responsibly and efficiently! Matt was great to talk to, informative and no nonsense. Isaac and Ivan installed my new A/Cs and were very professional! They made sure that I was completely happy with their work.

That level of professionalism, patience, and customer care is truly appreciated. He also took the time to explain our options for a yearly routine maintenance plan, which gave us peace of mind knowing we can keep our new system running properly for years to come. We opted to wait til the next morning and Rene showed up at 6:30AM, replaced our AC unit's motor (quicker than expected), hosed down our unit, and offered great advice for maintenance and what to expect moving forward. Last time (a couple years ago), Flores also showed up quickly and repaired our unit, was so helpful and did a great job accommodating our budget as best as he could. Both experts felt safe and professional. With unbearable summer heat causing so many AC issues around the Valley, it can be hard to get someone to fix AC units to the house quickly, and they haven't disappointed yet. If you're looking for AC installation and you are looking for a Carrier brand look no more. Start…read moreoff with DANETTE who was completed honest with pricing and if you have any questions she'll be the one to ask. I thoroughly had numerous quotes and salespeople coming to my house. Each salesperson would beat the other contractors quotes. Danette is the one who informed me to always look at the model numbers they are quoting you with. If you don't go with Coolzone if there's anything you read about this is read the description of work but the model number and see what they are trying to give you. These companies are trying to sell you the cheaper brand Example a new build carrier ac. It's a carrier but a new build brand, basically cheaper but if you want a true Carrier brand go off the carrier website and make sure you tell them you want the model number off the website. Anyways with Danette's information and honestly showed integrity. If you're liking Danette quotes and information then Dakota will follow up to do a walk around to see if there's any final touches before installation who is very knowledgeable and professional. No matter how expensive you buy a brand Trane Carrier or whatever the single most important thing in your investment is the INSTALLATION. The morning of installation Josh, Tom , and Tylor showed up on time and very professional and will always stop what they're doing to answer your questions. These guys showed up Approximately 730ish in the morning and stayed all the way until 730 at night to make sure the installation was superb. They would have stayed longer if I or customer wouldn't be happy. I'm a customer who likes small business contractors cuz these bigger ones have to make there money back from tv ads and commercials. Coolzone will make their money by integrity and workmanship. Dave the owner super nice and will make sure the investment will be worth your while. Hope this helps who reads reviews and thinking of a new ac unit. Thank you Coolzone.

I am surprised at the amount of great reviews for this company. My experience was the complete…read moreopposite. I called Cool Zone because they were authorized to perform warranty repairs on my ac system. The tech found that the compressor had failed and needed to be replaced. He confirmed the unit was still under a parts warranty so my cost would be the labor and new freon that was recommended. He quoted $3,300 for 4 hours of labor! Then said if i purchased a maintenance plan that covered 2 visits for both of my units it would be cheaper at just under $3,100. What? That doesn't make sense. You Buy a service plan and pay less ?!! I expect that the "maintenance" is not intended to take care of the units but to give them 2 more opportunities to overcharge for additional services. I was told they would check availability of the compressor and his office would call me the next day. I was charged a $89 diagnostic fee. I told him his office told me the fee would be waived for repairs over $300. It was obvious to me that he had no intention of sharing this policy with me and said he would discount the repair bill after the work was done. I heard nothing more from them. It has been 2 days. After looking into his price I was told by 2 different companies that the quote was at the high end of the range for a unit that was NOT under warranty. I did not share this quote with either of these companies until after they priced the repair. Both told me the same thing and both quotes were competitive. A different factory authorized business is repairing the unit including line set cleaning and new refrigerant for $1,800. This is a predatory business overcharging people that are stuck in the AZ heat with a broken ac unit. They say a sucker is born every minute. Dont be a sucker! Stay away.
