I'm a new homeowner, new to home repairs and I had so many questions. Jay was quick to respond and answered all of my questions and talked me through the whole process. I could tell he really cares about his customers and wants to provide the best solutions to fix things the right way to save me money in the long run. I was referred to Jay at Cooling and plumbing by a friend when my AC unit stopped working right at the start of summertime in AZ. Jay was honest and let me know his team was very busy and could not make it out right away. However, he shared some referrals to other service providers that could get to my property next day to evaluate the issues. He also let me know if it was determined the unit needed to be replaced to call him back and he would work with me on great price and timeline to replace the unit asap. I did just that, the service company was able to get my 23 year old unit up and running for 2-3 weeks but said that due to the refrigerant leak my AC unit will require replacement. I called Jay back the next day and let him know I needed a new unit and within 24 hours he had a quote and said to let him know when I needed the unit replaced. I scheduled it for 2 weeks later and his team was in and out in under 7 hours with a crane. Both he and his team continuously communicated every step and sent pictures of the completed project along with taking care of registration of the new product for me. This was one of the best experiences I have experienced since moving to AZ 3 years ago with any type of contractor. Its usually late, unprofessional, and messy so I can appreciate the customer service from Jay and his team. I had some quotes on work from a few other companies but was not happy with the price I was receiving. I researched around a bit more and came across this outfit right here on Yelp. I'm hot then I'm cold I'm yes then I'm no I'm in then I'm out I'm up then I'm down It was like a trippy flashback to the Katy Perry concert I never went to, I was hot and now I'm cold and it's all thanks to The Cooling & Plumbing Co. The crew came out to assess my AC problem and the prognosis was to repair a leak on a 16yr old system at roughly half the cost of a new one or to replace. After weighing my options, getting a few price quotes from competing businesses, I opted for total replacement. I didn't want to end up with a fully functioning 16 year old AC, when a new one was within within a reasonable cost difference and I wouldn't have to worry about more major repairs within the upcoming couple of years. I made the decision to replace and they were out within a couple of business days craning a new AC unit to the third floor roof of my condo in central phoenix, installing a new air handler, blower and connecting everything together. There were a few hiccups along the way during installation, mostly due to the old design of the system they were replacing was reversed from the current design, the installers ended up taking the fan, coils and wiring out of the new air handler housing and retro fitting them to fit into the old space. It was a tight fit and the alternative was cutting into beams and a bunch of extra repair work. After installation of the new unit, there were more issues with my thermostat, it just did not want to work with the new AC, after a couple hours of testing, rewiring, retesting, rinse and repeat, we put a new thermostat, my AC was up, running and blowing cold air once again. After enjoying cold air once again for a few days, I had a complaint at just how loud the new fan was. I called them up once again and they were back out to tune down the speed of my fan, it's sound level is now back to about what the old one was. I can't believe at just how much time and effort this AC unit took them, over all I am happy with the service they provided on top of the new AC unit I am now enjoying on a daily basis! I had used another plumbing company that broke my RO system and replaced it with one that couldn't even fill a 32 ounce bottle. The other plumber wouldn't respond to me and I was without a RO system for about 1 1/2 months. I looked on the Nextdoor app and found this company. I left a message for someone to call me back and was so impressed since Jay called me right away. He was easy to talk to and I was able to explain what was going on with no problem. He scheduled an appointment for me and asked me to send him some pictures of the RO that had just been installed. Again, he responded immediately and let me know what kind of RO systems they offered. We just moved into a new home and decided to change our electric stove top over to LP Gas. The neighborhood and home do not have city gas lines so we have two large tanks on the side of our house that supply the fireplaces and outdoor bbq with LP. We wanted to add a line to our kitchen so we could upgrade to a gas range. A long time friend who works in plumbing recommended Jay so we gave him a call. Jay was quick to call back and we got something set up for a couple days later. He gave me a quote over the phone of $300 based on the description. Professional is the perfect fit for this company! I recently bought a townhouse and needed some minor to medium water and AC work done. The problem was I work a lot and needed someone to do a lot of work without me being there. The Cooling and Plumbing company worked with me the whole way. The gave me a fair quote for the work, never pushed any service or product on me. They suggested some work but were nice about me thinking it over. We also had to coordinate with my HOA to shut the water off. We had a small window of time from 7 to 8 am to get the work done. They came they saw they conquered. Work was done, and looked beautiful. They charged a flat rate for the install and came out pretty quickly to install it, while they were here they also fixed my bathroom fan motor just because it looked like it was installed incorrectly free of charge. We recently underwent an extensive kitchen remodel and were looking for someone we could trust to sell and install a massive propane tank and all the plumbing. It seemed like it would be a challenging job and the tank placement would be tricky. This was a huge project and I would accept nothing but the best, so I set out to find the best in their field and interviewed 5 companies with top ratings. After finding J on Yelp with his fantastic reviews I called and setup an appointment. J showed up on time, provided a wealth of knowledge around complex installations and permits, and worked with me at length to brainstorm the best way to attack the job. He did some research, found exactly what we needed, lined everything up and communicated with me exactly when he said he would. He and his team also showed up exactly when they said they would. This is practically unheard of with most contractors. I found J and Patrick to be more like partners than contractors; rare and fantastic. We ran into some challenges on the project, not with J's portion, but with the range and then with the company that filled the propane. In both instances J not only advised me on direction and put my mind at ease, he jumped in to assist personally to ensure we were taken care of and the project continued on it's way. Honestly, we could not have asked for plumbing partners (both J and Patrick) who genuinely cared more, were more dedicated to our success, communicated better, showed up when they said they would (even well after normal business hours) and followed through with professionalism, expertise and dedication.
