Service was great, restaurant/ ambiance was great, food was great. Only issue was all the food needed salt/ soy sauce. that's not bad per se bc it allows you to salt to taste but it definitely lacked in that flavor category. Otherwise it was fresh and delicious

This place got my attention bc they offer veggie broth. Soy sauce, shoyu can be on the salty side. So I wanted miso. I went with spicy miso so I wouldn't have to pay for chili oil. It should be complimentary when serving rice & ramen dishes. I made a good choice, the broth was the best part of the dish. I'm giving a 4 instead of a 3 for my 3.5 review bc the owner was patient & didn't mind answering my questions. Some of the ingredients I was confused about. Ex. what the egg was marinated in. Now with there not being much to do in Melbourne but dining. I'd like to have an enjoyable experience. Along with tasty food, customer satisfaction & retention should be top priority. When I wanted to sub the pork for shrimp or scallops I was told it would be an upcharge of $1. I don't go out if I can't afford to so for me it was about principal. I asked why, when they are both the same price. "The button automatically charges it." The tables are too closely placed. When you back up to get up you are pretty much on the back of the person behind you. There was an empty table but it was too close to the restroom. The table we picked needed to be wiped down. The drinks were delicious. Almond milk was an option. The noodles in the ramen were cooked nicely, good texture. I know this review is all over the place. I had a lot to say but didn't want to sound too critical. My son enjoyed his ramen dish but we both agreed we would've rathered had sushi. Really wanted to like it & support a small business. Anyway, my search continues. Don't believe I'll return.

I really liked this place! The location is super good and it's very accessible. The restaurant was very clean and had good seating options. I loved the taste of the starter that I got. It was a croquette with peas, corn, carrots, and mashed potatoes. The rice bowl was a chicken curry. I also ordered a coconut which had the perfect taste. The value was very good for the amount of food that I got. I would deff go back!

Eat here. Chicken katsu bun (4.25) and spicy miso ramen (16)= SO. GOOD. When you enter, walk to the register to order, don't stand by the door like an idiot (like me) waiting to be greeted.

I have seen this location open for a little while but today I had to try it. The staff is really friendly and helpful with the menu. I ordered tonkatsu ramen and taro milk tea. The ramen arrived very quickly and was delicious. It even came with the correct ladle. The taro tea too was very tasty and honestly one of the best I've had lately. I'll be back soon

Friends and I went to check out this newly opened restaurant today. Was greeted promptly by the owner and was able to get a table before it got busier. We ordered an array of food, but mostly Tonkatsu Ramen was the star of the show! Other things ordered was the kakuni ramen, gyudon rice bowl, the spicy and regular salted edamame, kara-age chicken, kakuni bun, hiyashi ramen, and a bunch of yakult slushi drinks! Every dish was on point! I definitely would be back again to try out the other ramens on the menu! I even ordered a gyudon bowl to go for lunch tomorrow!

**INITIAL REVIEW**…read more I've been wanting to dine at Senzu Noodle Bar and Boba (which I will shorthand simply to Senzu for the remainder of this review) for the longest time, simply because it is relative to the Dragonball Series. Ever seen what happens to anyone who eats a senzu bean? Back to the review, I finally got the chance to go into Senzu, ready to dine on both noodles and boba. I mean it is in the name, right? Upon entering, the ambiance is a cross between modern restaurant and traditional ramen shop. I noticed the long wall bar where patrons would line up and enjoy their bowls of ramen during their lunch break, but I also recognize the tables for formal dine-in. As for ordering, they have the traditional face-to-face ordering along with a "contactless" kiosk. Senzu offers a decent range of appetizers, mains centered on noodle dishes such ramen, yakisoba, and udon, rice bowls, and boba. There are more to list, but the aforementioned is the primary bulk of the menu. From said menu, I ordered miso chicken ramen and Thai boba tea. The ramen was very flavorful, with a decent amount of ramen, add-ons, and chicken for $16.00. The Thai boba tea was good too at $4.00. Yes, I will say the price is a bit on the high side these days, but the price of food is going up in general. There is also a specials menu, made new every single day or week. One of the specials on said menu was unagi on rice, or grilled eel with tare glaze on rice. Since it was a special, it had the special price, too, at $20. Not complaining, but take note that specials definitely have special pricing. Was it good? It was, but definitely had better. As a matter of fact, I have had better of each of the food items I ordered. Still, you can't go wrong eating here at Senzu, unless you want to spend a little less. But you know what? I would not expect any less from the same people who own So-Ju Chicken and Bakudan Street Food. Ultimately, I will give Senzu a solid four-out-of-five star rating for this review. Definitely a good place to eat, and a new restaurant to enjoy such food. If they are consistent with their food and presentation (service included), I will grant them their fifth star for consistency.

Their rice is like creamy happiness and makes the sushi so much better. Their fish is fresh every time. We have tried almost every roll and have never been disappointed. They have other dishes as well. Whether it is Ramen or Katsu, you will love it. If you like spicy, try their Spicy beef ramen or the spicy kani salad. So good and if you're ailing, the ramen soup will nurse you back to health. The service is excellent. Everyone works hard as you will see them scurrying around to ensure everyone is served. The best part is the floor manager. Her name is Mama. She watches over the customers and staff with a watchful eye. She is so awesome. Older woman with the spunk of a teenager. The owner and family always have a smile for all customers too. Good people. MAKE RESERVATIONS!!! Do not just show up or you will likely have to wait. This is most nights, but especially in the weekends. And the food to value is excellent. No matter what form your sushi takes here, the quality is excellent and prices are good as well. The woman answering the phone was very pleasant when placing the order, and I received a warm, friendly greeting when I arrived for pickup. I ordered the Hot Mama Roll, which was easily my favorite of the evening. The combination of kani, eel, avocado, masago, and jalapeños wrapped in mamenori delivered the perfect balance of flavors, and I absolutely loved the jalapeño kick. If you're a fan of spicy sushi, this one is a must-try. I highly recommend pairing it with spicy mayo. We also tried the Rising Sun Roll, featuring cucumber, tempura kani, masago, and avocado, topped with tuna, salmon, and ebi with a touch of sriracha. Everything tasted very fresh, and the variety of seafood made for a flavorful roll. My only wish was for a little more heat. Clearly, I love my spice! Adding some jalapeño would have taken it to the next level for me. That said, it paired wonderfully with eel sauce, which added a nice touch of sweetness. Overall, Mangetsu delivered fresh, flavorful sushi and friendly service. A great option for takeout in downtown Melbourne, especially if you're looking for quality sushi later in the evening. We'll definitely be back.

Ergo, being such, for them, has become the "new average." As for Ruby Asian Taste, I have never eaten here before and was suggested to this restaurant from the ladies I spend lunchtime with after church on Sundays. So, was it good? Well... it was passably good, but a las, it generally fits the "dime a dozen" category of Asian restaurants, even though it tries to be everything, too. Located in the Publix Plaxa just south of Melbourne High School, Ruby Asian Taste (which I will shorthand to Ruby's for the remainder of this review) is marketed as having every Asian food available. What that means is they have more than one Asian cuisine, including Chinese, Japanese, Thai, and Korean. As a matter of fact, they had three different menus, loaded with options. Upon entering the restaurant, it looked like your typical walk-in New York Style Chinese food restaurant is often seen next to a Publix here in Florida. Simple tables, simple chairs, no fancy wait service, etc. At least everything was clean. I ordered three different food options, primarily Japanese. I got the takoyaki and kaaragi. The former, being fried dough balls with a piece of octopus inside, and the latter, being Japanese-style fried chicken, were both good, but they were nothing extraordinary. My church lady friends ordered chicken and mixed veggies with white rice and crab rangoon. They were good, but nothing extraordinary either. On a sidenote: the men's restroom was decent. It is clean and simple but needs an upgrade. You can do your business without having to be disgusted. Ultimately, Ruby's is okay. It was not my first choice, but a choice that I would consider if need be. My suggestion is Ruby's simplify their menu. I think having so many options stretches them thin a bit and thus their food would be average. Ruby's can still be an everything Asian restaurant, but maybe limit some of the options.
