We arrived about 45 minutes before closing and politely asked the staff if they were still serving. They told us yes, so we decided to stay and dine in. Unfortunately, after sitting down we overheard the staff speaking in Vietnamese about the kitchen closing, seemingly unaware that we understood the conversation. My mother even offered for our family to leave if it was inconvenient, but they insisted we stay once they realized the misunderstanding. Sadly, the food quality reflected the situation. My brisket pho was mostly large pieces of fat rather than meat, and the rest of our family's meals were underwhelming as well. The overall experience felt rushed and unwelcoming. If the kitchen is closing or the staff prefers not to serve additional customers near closing time, it would be better to communicate that honestly when guests first walk in. I have been here so many times and each time the food was amazing, however, the male staff members are so HORRIBLY RUDE, condescending and simply do not care. My daughters and I have been coming here for a very long time. We love the food-. And with a picky eater, it's hard to find a place that's always going to be a win-win. But moreover, we love the people who work there. I popped by on Thursday for a take-out order, and had to look at the menu to make sure I had my daughter's order number right. Our guy knew my other daughter's order by HEART and asked if it was for her. And then he asked about the kids, how we were doing, etc.. The only problem I have is that it's 35 minutes away from my house. I recently stumbled upon another phó restaurant is closer to my home... but their prices are higher. The phó at this place was too notch! With the drive if I have the time... I order the specialty phó which comes with a few proteins: spiced rare beef, meat ball, & brisket. It also comes with tendon (which adds to the flavor), scallions, onions, cilantro, and the usual accompaniments (basil, bean sprouts, lime, and jalapeño). The broth it's self is superb. Very mild. I add sriracha & the other spicy sauce to kick it up a notch when I want to clear my sinuses. I've only ever ordered take out so I'm not sure about the service. I did get a weird vibe from the cashier when I picked up the other day. But nothing major. I'll still be back. Also, pictured is my Tupperware. The broth itself is too full to consume. Decided to check this Pho place out since I was in town for a short day visit. I was hoping it to be decent and hit and spot since I was craving Pho. Place was not busy when I arrived in the late afternoon. I ordered a bowl of pho special that had a little bit of everything and an order of summer roll. I enjoyed the summer rolls, but the peanut sauce seems a bit watered down. On the other hand, the pho was not good at all. No flavor to the broth and it was hard to eat. I left my bowl half uneaten. It was a bummer. The Veggies that came were a bit dry and seem old. Prices are decent and I am sure other dishes that aren't soup base will have more flavor. This was my first time visiting Pho Viet and I had high expectations based on the reviews. Unfortunately, I found the pho to be too oily and fatty that would have benefitted from skimming to remove the excess. This left an unpleasant greasy mouth feel after each bite. The flavors were there for a standard pho, but just a little bit of an edit of the broth would have make it a much more enjoyable experience. It was hard to finish because of this. We also ordered the seafood egg noodles that were decent, but felt that the ratio of the noodles were a bit lacking compared to the bowl and other component. The pork that was added was good, but not enough to really salvage the rest of the dish. I am hesitant to visit the restaurant again, but if I do I would get another dish instead. I've been here several times already and look forward to coming everytime I'm in Melbourne! Located on busy intersection, this place varies in traffic. I usually come around 1or 2. Staff is mostly friendly, place is clean, and staff wears masks. The Pho Dac Biet is all I order honestly, and since I'm on a medical diet, no noodles. I simply replace noodles with veggies and add meatballs. Yum! The broth is rich and flavorful, definitely great portion sizes, and service is generally on point. We had tried to come here about a year ago when we were in the area, but they were closed for a family emergency. In the neighborhood, again, we decided to try again this year. We got there early for lunch hour and yet all the booths, most tables, and half of the counter were already full. Later on, there was even a wait for a seat. I'm always heartened by the fact of a majority of Asian patrons when I'm going to a restaurant like this. I'm hoping it's a sign that they are well liked by their own community and a sign that the food is good. False hope or not, this place turned out to be quite a good bet. We started with a spring (summer? )roll and asked for shrimp only. It had iceberg lettuce, lots of shrimp, and thin noodles, inside a soft rice paper wrap. It came with peanut sauce. Only thing missing was a bit of cilantro inside. Otherwise, it was cooly refreshing. Then I had their Vietnamese version of won ton soup. In addition to half a dozen meat filled wontons, there were pieces of broccoli and cauliflower(!). The broth was very good and it was served steaming hot. My husband had wanted to try their Tom yum soup, but they were out of it, so he also had this same small soup appetizer, Then we shared a bahn mi. We are used to the roast pork sandwiches we've gotten before from other Vietnamese restaurants and figured this would be similar. They had 2 kinds listed and we chose their curried chicken. (The other choice was beef). When it was served, we got a mini loaf of hot, toasted French bread in aluminum foil (along with a serrated knife) on one plate. And a bowl of boneless chicken pieces in a curry sauce. The sauce was flavorful -- not too spicy -- and could be spooned up like soup. There were also pieces of sweet potato, white potato, and slivers of onion. The bread was used more to dip and sop up the sauce than as a sandwich holder. Very different, but in a good way. After that, we had one of their fried egg rolls. Nice and crispy it had inside a finely minced meat and veggie filling. This went well with their dipping sauce -- a slightly sweet vinegary mix with a few red pepper flakes in it. Service was pleasant and efficient. Language was no problem. Servers all spoke English as well as we did. The menu is large and they have a page of lunch specials featuring Americanized versions of Asian dishes (fried rice, etc.). Next time or when we have more time, I'd like to try our favorite phos or one of their vermicelli dishes. And yes, we will make sure there is a next time. read more

The one guy that always takes orders and waits on tables is awfully rude, cold, no customer service, impatient and just seems miserable. As if he doesn't want to be there and hates his job. I'm not going back because of the customer service, dirty and prices have gone up and the food is not the same quality it used to be. If they continue this way they're going to end up shutting down. Over the past couple of years, there has been a boom in Vietnamese restaurants in my city. Though most of them serve delicious food, some are better than others. To me, the best place to get Vietnamese in general is at Pho Viet. Located in the same strip mall as Lucky's Market and Crystal Buffet, Pho Viet is one of the newer Vietnamese restaurants in the area. Unlike the others, their ingredients seem to be more fresh in my honest opinion. This might be because Lucky's Market is right next to them. Anyways, the exterior and interior are both simplistic in nature. Nothing really stands out as extravagent or memorable visually. That is fine because it is the food that takes center stage. The menu options are mind-boggling as it is almost ten pages of choices. However, most of the meals are very similar in nature. Either they be bowls of soup or rice with meat. There are some stand-outs from the norm, but the template is usually the same. I personally love the calamari, roasted duck, and chicken pho here. Still, all the food is real good and the prices are not too bad. Word of advice: know the food you will be getting. Since it is somewhat authentic Vietnamese food, you'll probably get ingredients you may not be familiar with... like tripe. The only gripes Ihave with the restaurant is that it seems the same broth is used no matter if it is beef bone broth, chicken broth, etc. Maybe they aren't using enough flavor so I don't taste it. For people who can't have too much salt in their diets, that is actually good, but for me, nope. Also, the restroom was lacking toilet paper. That can't be a good sign. All and all, a great place to eat. Afterwards, you can always jump over to Lucky's Market and enjoy a pint... if you don't get a boba tea I mean. read more

Place is very clean, you are greeted quick, and every time we come here we don't have to wait too long if not seated immediately. Food is so good! Definitely any Phǒ is delicious, I don't know what is about this place but the simple white rice is always delicious, very fragrant. Their hot teas as good too, as well as the food comes in quick, not long waits for that either. They are very attentive to you as a guest. Definitely a place we love to come and you should too. Chose this place because it seemed to be a safe option for gluten-free, mostly out of proximity, but also because it's not a chain. Don't let the location of an unassuming strip mall, with modest decor, and casual attire fool you; this restaurantis the real deal. We started with delicious fresh rolls and then each ordered the phò with flank steak, brisket, tripe, tendons. So good... and for a great value! I prefer to have my phò a little spicier while my spouse prefers sweeter, so I requested some hot chili oil. After going round and round my mom about where to eat, we ended up here. We started off with the appetizer sampler with include 2+2+2+2 of the various eggrolls. At around $11.50, it's not a bad deal. Not bad at all. The plain eggrolls were smoking hot, so don't go in to fast, lol. The spring roll, was not bad, but it had what I believe to be beef along with the shrimp. The peanut sauce was yummy. For my meal, I moved on to #74 and was impressed. The soup/pho was full of flavor and done just right and the portion was ridiculous. Needless to say I had plenty left over. My mom opted for the shrimp fried rice (not to adventurous) and she said it was pretty good. We also had a beer with our meal which came with a frosted glass. Even with the cold glass, the beer was still a little on the warm side, not ice cold. All in all plenty of leftovers and the entire check was only $40. All in all, not bad not bad at all. This is first Vietnamese restaurant that my wife and I have tried since moving to Melbourne in January. We moved from a city with a large population of Vietnamese people and businesses, so we were a bit skeptical of the Vietnamese food here in Florida. Now I can say that we were genuinely impressed! We ordered takeout, which was very quick. I ordered it from home and within 12 minutes, I already picked it up and headed home. Most takeout we have to drive and continue waiting for the food to be cooked. It was a delight not having to wait, even though the restaurant was very busy. For an appetizer we got the egg rolls, which were much larger than I thought, but they still tasted very good. I've never quite had an eggroll like that before, but it's definitely what you would think if I said it was a Vietnamese eggroll lol. Anyway, the wrapper was a little over-fried, but not enough to make it taste bad. So I'd gladly get this again. My wife had the vegetable pho with tofu. The soup was separated from all of the other ingredients, which was great. The soup stayed hot, and the vegetables weren't wilted. We've had takeout pho before, but a lot of restaurants get this wrong. As for the taste, it was decent. I like a more flavorful broth, but my wife likes it a little more subtle, so she loved it. Next time we go, I'll definitely get beef pho to really test them. My absolute favorite food in the world is fried rice, so I had to give them a shot. I got the rotisserie chicken fried rice, and it was the best I've had in a long time. The dish came with freshly cut tomatoes and cucumbers, which is standard in Thai or Viet food. The fried rice was perfect, and you can see the wok-hay on it. Then there was the rotisserie chicken, which was so tender, and had crispy skin! And it all came with a sweet sesame type of sauce, which I dunked the chicken it. I'm definitely getting fried rice EVERY TIME I come to Pho Viet. TL;DR: Fast service. Nice eggrolls. Decent pho. When the server checked on us I asked, "Do you know that this red wine is ice cold?" She was a little confused and said, "yes! We serve it cold." I went in today for some dinner I was starving and the service was absolutely terrible waited to place an order and was given attitude any time we asked a question about the menu.
