    Sesame Chicken

Went out for a quick work lunch on a Thursday afternoon. They seated 6 of us quickly and efficiently. Pretty lowkey restaurant, with servers being friendly. I ordered sesame chicken, and it tasted like Panda Express orange chicken in all the best ways. Plus the portion size was massive and the prices were reasonable. Overall would highly recommend stopping by!

This place is small and rather unassuming, but do not be discouraged by that. You will NOT be disappointed! Our server was great, and the owner/sushi chef walks around to say hello. He remembered us, even though we haven't been in there for a couple of years! We were shocked - that is so warm and welcoming! Our sushi was epic, and beautifully displayed at our table. I have no doubt that anything you order here is going to be delicious!

My fiancé and I dined in here for the first time today. Overall, we were pleased, just not our top choice for sushi. Sadly, I was not a fan of their crab Rangoon. Many sushi rolls to choose from, other options too that I'll have to try another time. The employees were polite and the restaurant was clean.

I love sushi, so when a friend of mine found out, he took me here. I let him place the order. I had never had salmon, so he ordered salmon, as well as eel, octopus, tuna and crab. I was pretty excited to be eating some sushi. I was a little weirded out with the eel and octopus, but it was fantastic! The eel was good, but if I had to choose, I'd take the octopus over the eel. It was all really good. I was impressed with this place. It was kinda small, but comforting to be in. We sat at tables with chairs, I didn't see any booths, but then again, I was too busy looking at the menu trying to decide what to get (glad he ordered). The tables were clean, not sticky, and the chairs were clean as well. The waitress was super sweet and came and checked on us quite often. The prices weren't bad either. I would definitely go back there if I ever get the chance. I would recommend the octopus for sure.

Top to bottom: Friends Roll, Double Shrimp Roll (2 orders) and Spicy Tuna.

Excellent sushi, great variety of other dishes. We love their double shrimp roll, their spicy California roll, the Friends roll, and their gyoza. My daughter likes the chicken ramen too. Food is always prepared fresh, their Chinese and Thai entrees are excellent, and both Bill (owner) and his staff are excellent! We've never had a bad meal here.

    Godzilla roll...huge!

Having spent time exploring Japan and eating plenty of sushi there, this is probably the closest I've come in Michigan to recreating that experience. The focus is on traditional and straightforward: quality fish, careful preparation, and letting the ingredients speak for themselves rather than covering everything in sauces and toppings. The sushi and sashimi have been consistently excellent across my visits, and I especially appreciate that the menu goes well beyond the typical American sushi restaurant. There are plenty of traditional Japanese dishes and chef's-choice options, so it's a place where I'm always tempted to try something different. The atmosphere adds to the experience too. It has this intimate, neighborhood Japanese restaurant vibe that reminds me so much of stumbling upon a sushi spot in Kyoto. If you love traditional Japanese food and care more about quality and authenticity than elaborate specialty rolls, Sharaku is absolutely worth the trip. One of the best Japanese dining experiences I've found in Michigan, and a place I'll continue coming back to.

We went right at 5pm when it opened and all of us felt their dishes were pretty bland. My sister who doesn't like spicy or super flavorful foods liked her shrimp tempura udon though. Honestly, I was expecting more. I wish I would've loved it but didn't. I got the Tonkotsu with spice (didn't taste spicy at all). My hubby liked his Ton-Ton pork ramen. My friend got the Spicy Champon and it was NOT spicy at all. Not sure I'd recommend as our experience was lacking overall. At least they were great about refilling our waters and lots of free parking. I enjoyed the fresh small salad that came with our Ramen, but charging extra for the chili oil was a disappointment as my ramen really needed something extra. Better luck next time.

I was greeted immediately (although it would be hard not to be--…read morethe interior is small, and the welcome desk is immediately to your right when you walk in.) The menu is strong but limited, which I kind of like- limits decision fatigue, especially after a long day. I ordered the nigiri combo, for the cause. Nigiri is something I've only really gotten into this year, so I'm not an expert, but I know what I like and what I don't. Soft, sticky rice that feels fresh and adhesive but not clumpy, fresh smelling and looking fish. The California roll was a California roll. The nigiri was great however. The shrimp in particular was light and almost creamy tasting? I know that sounds odd but I mean it in a good way. The rest of the fish was good. I even tried eel (this is big for me) for the cause! It was rich and fatty, but not in an unpleasant way as I feared. It was pleasantly sauced, so I was able to try it sans soy sauce and was pleased! I *really* liked the soy sauce here, although they don't give you very much. They also are a bit stingy with the ginger. This was my first time trying tamago, which is a delicately sweetened egg roll stuffed with rice. If you're not used to it, you have to get over the look and just go for it! It's yummy! The restroom was clean but smelled faintly of cigarettes. To be honest... I didn't mind that. It kind of fit with the vibe and gave the restaurant a "real" "edgy" feel, although some people may not appreciate it. The interior is kind of messy and unkempt, but if you keep your eyes on the prize- the food- you'll leave happy!
