Omg! When I saw the word popover it was a done deal! I headed over and the universe blessed me today with the sweetest woman ever! She made me an "out of this world",egg and bacon sandwich and made me feel so important to her business! Treated me with kindness and appreciation, little did she know how much I needed that! This is a cute little breakfast/lunch spot in downtown Palm Harbor and I believe an offshoot of Ohana in Dunedin. I took a Friday off to go to the beach and stopped here to get breakfast before I went. The popovers are amazing! I think on a future trip I will consider getting one stuffed with ham, egg and cheese. I also had a wonderful mango smoothie that was not too sweet, which I totally appreciate because a lot of smoothies are sweeter than I would like. It is so hard to write a critical review since the Hawaiian couple are so nice. Suffering the effects of my second Covid shot, the female counter person suggested a couple of items. I settled on the Spinach chocolate concoction and a Kefir shot. I can't stand spinach but agreed to get it when the male employee promised I'd like it and would make me something else if I didn't. He brought out a small cup of the brown drink for me to try. I gave it the "okay." I think I paid about $9 for an 10 once serving. Ouch! My shot was another $3. As for my recovery from the Covid shot, I think it worked. Kudos to Ohana for expressing concern for me. So why 3 stars ? The prices are too high. I was hoping for 16 ounces for $9. Such a cute place, smaller than Dunedin but lovely pics & Braddah Iz on speakers (or radio), great ambiance. Sis had breakfast p'cakes & big bacon strips, hubby had Hawaii 5-0 burger (just like last time, lol), I had Hona Hou sandwich w/veggie straws, which we remembered from 2019, yum! Just stopped by this Ohana location because I love the other one in Dunedin. I must say it was a disaster from the moment we walked in. It was about 80 degrees inside, only 50% of the menu was availableThe delivery truck wasn't coming until the next day, so they only had couple things. I went for the save choice, what can go wrong with an açaí bowl?? I paid over $10 for frozen fruit. The bowl had 1/4 banana, 6 blueberries frozen not fresh, 2 strawberries cut in quarters frozen not fresh and old granola on the side. Definitely wouldn't recommend this location, however the Dunedin one is amazing. The lady that worked at the location was SUPER sweet, but the quality and quantity of food was AWFUL. read more

And while the distance is just as far to its sister restaurant, Ohana Fresh, the calories are certainly a lot more manageable! This place is full of one healthy option after another. I'm obsessed with acai bowls, and will drive across the region for one. For that reason, I'd had Ohana Fresh on my hit list for a long time. Countless times I'd be at the beach and say "we should go to Ohana Fresh," only to find out that they were closed. (They close at 3p every day.) So I decided to make a trip to north Pinellas just to visit this healthy, Hawaiian gem. It was a great decision. My fiance and I shared an acai bowl, a strawberry banana smoothie, a popover, a mango soda and something called a toastie. The toastie was a thick toast with some kind of honey and bananas on top - we both loved it. I was in heaven with my acai bowl, as usual. The popover was happiness in the form of a Hawaiian baked good. As I said, it was worth every second of the 70 minute road trip venture. But the reason Ohana Cafe and Ohana Fresh are so successful is not their unbelievably tasty treats - it's their people. Although we've only been to each Ohana one time, we received hugs from Teresa and "mommy" as soon as we walked in. I actually know Teresa, so it was a bit more expected, but I did not know mommy. As soon as we opened the door, she ran from the other side of the counter to give us both a hug. I was actually convinced that maybe I had met her in the past... but nope. That's just her. Later on, we told her that we were getting married soon in Hawaii, and she stopped what she was doing to run around and give us another hug. Unbelievable. I stumbled across this place on Yelp after discovering that my favorite juice company is closed on Sunday's. Going in, I had very high expectations because Good Vibes Juice Co. sets the bar pretty high. Walking in, we were greeted with friendly, smiling faces and hugged while saying "Aloha". Love it. That extra personal touch can go a LONG way! My husband and I hadn't eaten all day so we ordered a variety of items including an acai bowl, a pitaya bowl, a heart healthy smoothie, Hawaiian Punch juice, and we took a gluten free chocolate banana muffin to go. Service was slow but I presume they are making everything fresh without any premades? The bowls were prepared first. They looked pretty (but not as impressive as my previously mentioned fave and not with as much of a fruit variety). The taste was good but not excellent - the frozen juice was a tad bitter. My husband and I weren't that crazy about our juice selections. His smoothie was dominated by beets and my Hawaiian Punch tasted grassy but I don't remember the ingredients to share with you all. The muffin was a smudge on the dry side. I mean, I REALLY like the concept of fresh and healthy options but they just don't compare to my first choice. This place just smells fresh and clean as soon as you enter. The lady working the counter was so friendly, welcoming us, and coming around to give us a hug. Their gluten free items are made with almond flour. I got a Chocolate spinach smoothie. It wasn't overly sweet or fake tasting. Very refreshing. After taxes, it was a little over $8. This little juice bar is truly a "hidden" gem. I didn't even know it existed since it is nicely tucked around the neighboring streets. As soon as I walked in, the owner gave me a hug and was very friendly. It would seem that their focus is on gluten free, organic, raw food, juices, and other products like healthy and beauty. They are modestly priced since they are using all natural ingredients. She gave me a sample of some gluten free noodles and they were delish. I ordered the chocolate spinach (another Yelper recommended it) and, I've got to say, it tastes delicious. It's not too sweet since I'm sure they don't lace it with tons of sugar like other smoothie places would do. I've been coming down to Palm Harbor for a while now, and I just found this place! As soon as you walk in you and everyone you're with will be greeted warmly by the owner with a hug. I've never experienced this before but it made a great experience! I got an açaí bowl with honey and my dad got the hula berry banana smoothie. My bowl was very good the only thing I have to say is that it was more expensive than the bowls I typically get with less açaí, and it was an additional $1.75 for honey (although it was local honey). My dad said his smoothie was amazing as well! I would definitely come back but I think the bowl should be a little bigger for the price. There is also a variety of baked goods and other health supplies in the cafe! If you're looking for a great smoothie or açaí bowl experience, come here! read more

We Yelped smoothies when passing through on a road trip and found Ohana Fresh. The super kind lady came out from the counter to hug us. That was pretty cool as I love hugging. The smoothie choices are interesting, fruit, basil, dates, cocoa but very pricey, $8 each with tax. I ordered the sweet strawberry which had basil, an interesting combination. My bride had the one with cocoa. I would call them medium sized. I ask her ahead of time if the 4 ingredients listed were all that was in it and she said yes, that was it. She delivered our smoothies in the super comfortable hangout area where we were relaxing. I was underwhelmed with the size and the flavor. She clearly put lots of ice in them which was disappointing for the $16 we spent. Mine was not sweet. The lady was so nice and so I didn't feel like complaining. We will not return though. read more

This is a really cute, Hawaiian-themed little place in downtown Palm Harbor offering smoothies, juices, açaí bowls, coffee and pastries. There's a sign that says "free hugs," and that's exactly what Myrna greeted us with when we arrived -- she's a doll and makes you feel like you're a prized guest at her home. It's maybe a little pricy, but they use organic ingredients when possible and even have some gluten-free offerings. My only wish is that they had more food like what's available at their Ohana Cafe in Dunedin. (Even offering just a few entrees would really help to bring me back more often!) read more

This place is such a hidden gem! My friend and her family and I are staying in Tarpon Springs and decided to come in for an afternoon delight. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a very sweet Hawaiian lady, presumably the owner. She was so full of joy and gave us all a hug. She was playing peaceful Hawaiian music and the ambiance was very chill and island-like. The six of us all ordered different things. We tried the Cassava pudding bar, the cupcakes, beet juice, shaved ice, and açaí bowls. I also had a ginger Kombucha which I've bought other places and thought was a bit overpriced as well as the açaí bowl. But that was probably the only downside and I could understand why because it's a small organic cafe and it's difficult to keep a place like that running.
