We got two sushi here and both were pretty wildly different. The first was a take on tuna (I believe) and had a super neutral flavor. It has been so long since I have fish that I don't remember if that's what it tasted like but I wished it had been marinated in something to give it a bit more flavore. That being said, they nailed the look and when combined with ginger it didnt need too much. The second was essentially a fresh role with an assortment of veggies and tofu. This was down my ally since I like sushi with a crunch and this definitly had it. It was a bit large for sushi so for my partners small mouth it was harder to eat in one bite but not too bad for mine. The atmosphere is really fun with tones of hand drawn sticky notes on the wall and bright happy decor. Overall a good spot but I would try some other stuff next time.

Fun vegan sushi spot with so many options!! I got the poke aux champignons. I did not love the sauce; it was a pesto balsamic that was not my taste, but all the other ingredients were fresh and generous. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Amazing sushi that also happens to be vegan. The staff is friendly and quick. We were so impressed with the presentation and taste. So good

This is hands down the best vegan sushi I have ever had. We ordered and split the chefs special and black angel roll. It was so varied and delicious! I wish I lived nearby because I'd eat here all the time!

Obana was packed the first time we visited the restaurant. The second time we visited during off hours. The owner and staff were very helpful in identifying items without ingredients I am allergic to. Overall, it was delicious and colourful. The sushi were artfully created. It's easy to see why the restaurant was packed and had a line outside. Ohana is a great place if you are looking for an avocuddle.

Bento box, black angel, fried banana

I love this place! I thought it was going to be just vegan sushi and nothing else, but I was wrong. They do a bento box and I got general Tao tofu and a miso soup with steamed rice and edamame as well as the samurai maki pieces. I also tried the "black angel" which had a delicious vegan tartare in it that tasted surprisingly fishy. For desert I got the fried banana which came with a delicious creamy scoop of vegan ice cream. Oh, I also tried the lemongrass soup, pretty refreshing! Will definately order again for movie night!

Wow. Just an amazing place. If you're the person who typically eats California, cucumber or shrimp tempura rolls this place if for you to have fun and experience sushi in the most enjoyable way. Personally my best/most fun sushi experience!

This is the first GOOD all vegan sushi restaurant I've been to. I loved the super cute outdoor seating. I ordered the "Dynamite Roll" and it was fantastic! I wasn't sure what to expect when it came to the tempura vegan shrimp, but it exceeded my expectations!!! Everything went together so well in this roll. I definitely recommend checking out this gem The staff was also super warm and welcoming.

We had the Black Angel! So yummy. I don't often eat vegan food when I go out, but this place was exceptionally yummy and creative. Highly recommend.

TBH I can't remember what these rolls were, but my friends and I enjoyed everything we got! Great to have another vegan sushi option in Montreal.

I highly recommend getting the assorted platter. It's the best way to try all the different rolls they have. My favourite will always he the eclipse maki roll. Simple, yet so delicious. There's something about the black rice that gives it that extra special feel

We showed up on time for our reservation. The restaurant is dark, and sleek looking, so it could be a place for dinner or for drinks at the bar. We browsed the menu, and decided to go light and ended up trying the the following: - Edamame (with Furakake): Good. Soy beans can only be so different between restaurants. I will note that some of the soy beans we got were the biggest I've even seen. Furakake added needed flavour. - Avocado Truffle Tacos: OK. Quite tiny, but well made and tasted good. I didn't get any hint of truffle though. - Wagyu Dumplings: Good. But similar to any good quality non-wagyu dumpling I've had before. Overpriced. - Paradise Maki: Good. I like the texture of the tempura. - White Dragon Maki: Very good. I think the ponzu sauce elevates this dish another level. Service was pretty standard. Did all the tight things, and timely, but not particularly friendly. Overall, it was an OK visit. Food overall was generally good quality, but very expensive for the quality and quantity you get. But I also recognize that sometimes you pay for ambiance, and you certainly do here.

I started with some sake, some nigiri and then a specialty roll. All excellent. I then had the A5 Waygu for the first time which was delicious with a meticulous preparation. All the food was top notch. The decor was high class urban, reminiscent of a fine New York establishment. The easily accommodated by gluten free needs.

Located on the 45th floor, you can get beautiful panoramic views of the city, including of the St. Lawrence river. Highly recommend stopping by to watch the sunset transition into nighttime. Now onto their menu- I was expecting a bit more food options, but they really only have light bites/appetizers, so I'd eat elsewhere beforehand. I ordered the Wagyu brioche, which was incredible, but I wasn't as impressed with the crispy hosomaki, which was overly salty and didn't have that much dimension of flavor. The drinks were incredible and innovative though, incorporating authentic Japanese flavors and three eras of Japan's history. The bartenders and staff were very friendly and accommodating, managing to snag me a much coveted bar spot without a prior reservation.

Definitely looking forward to coming back next time we're in town.

You can also order to go here I believe. They really operate efficiently, expect fast service! Tables are tightly situated and there's a cozy bar situation where I sat this time, able to watch the chefs cook right in front of me. The daily specials are posted on their Instagram page, as well as written on pieces of paper around the restaurant. My server quickly helped me to water and a glass of sake. I placed a to go order for one of the daily specials, the grilled sea bass with sushi rice and salad, with some kimchi. I also ordered the BBQ chicken with tortilla and salad, as well as vegetable gyoza. Everything was incredible. Truly. The gyoza came topped with green onions and was SO crispy and hot and was perfect with their soy sauce. I thought sea bass was wonderful with a unique almost smoky flavor that melted in my mouth paired with the slightly sweet sticky rice. The barbecue chicken was great as well and better the next day. One thing I don't really understand is why they served plain flour tortillas cut into quarters with their food. We didn't utilize this, nor the white butter/mayo sauce that came alongside it. I hope to eat here often, for years to come and am so happy to see this iconic Japanese restaurant still thriving years later.

We were a little disappointed that they ran out of salmon so we couldn't order any salmon sashimi dishes. We got skewers which were absolutely delicious! We also ordered takoyaki and okonomiyaki but there was nothing special about those. Wouldn't really recommend the okonomiyaki either. Would definitely recommend trying the Shrimp Burger and the Salmon Calcium (salmon pate).
