My licensed service animal was taken here because he was limping on his left front leg. After a v…read morebrief examination (which I was not a part of) I was then told that he had cancer. But there was never a biopsy performed, I was never told what type of cancer he has, etc. THEN! When he needed a refill on his pain medication, I called no less than 4-5 times, leaving messages to get his medication before the weather set in (we had about 10" of snow). NEVER RECEIVED A CALL BACK. Ended up getting the medication from chewy.com because it was much cheaper (180/$60 vs 60/$50) but of course STILL needed the bloody prescription from SFA . Called several more times, leaving more messages, but still getting no reply. My poor baby is is now completely out of pain medication, and these people obviously just DO NOT CARE!! How and why would you even want to be a vet if you're so obviously comfortable with seeing ani in pain? Yes, they may be more affordable than some other places, but I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM!!!

Unfortunately, we had to make the decision to do the right thing to euthanize her as her IBD had progressed too far. Obviously, extremely sad for us, however ... I cannot tell you how much compassion and solace were extended to us by the entire staff. Dr. Shivers, who treated her, Dr. Finkes who met us while we waited for Dr. Shivers to make a special trip to the office just to be with us could not have cared more. Everyone there was so supportive in our grief. It means so much when professionals like this care enough to show the empathy they did as if it were their own pet. My wife and I appreciate the understanding and sympathy they showed us to make the horrible experience of losing your pet as bearable as possible. We will absolutely be switching vets for our other two furry family members and highly recommend this practice. Thank you Brawley Animal Hospital.

Also, our new puppy, an Irish wolfhound, has recently started seeing her. The whole staff is always so attentive and friendly. Treats are always on hand. Our cats get their annual catnip fix while getting checked out. And it's not just the scheduled appointments! Our wolfhound is growing so fast and they let us stop by whenever we want to get her weighed at no cost. We actually look forward to coming here!

For the first few years they were great, but I'm not entirely sure what happened. Everything was fine when it was just my dog, but then I started owning cats as well. Most notable experience was when my husband found an abandoned kitten (no mother, neighbors said she was dumped). I brought her in immediately for testing and she had mites and tested positive for worms. The problem is, no one communicated to me that she had the worms. No one called me after the test results were in, no one called me to pick up medication, I only found out after I took her in for another checkup around a week later and the vet asked how she was doing with the medicine. Also to mention the decline of phone availability. I remember multiple times I left a message/text asking for a call back, but no one ever did. I had to repeatedly call and leave messages until they did. I then switched vets, in doing so, they didn't send me the full and complete records for my animals. The new vet had to call, and even then, notes and information were missing so I've had to fill in missing pieces from memory. It's really unfortunate, I loved this office at first, but I've had one too many negative experiences to be able to confidently bring my pets back.

We were instructed to set up weekly visits with our regular veterinarian for tests, when they wouldn't do it, we went to Troutman Animal Hospital. I called them, explained what Shadow was diagnosed with and they immediately jumped to action. The receptionist I spoke with was incredibly kind and you could tell that she loves all the babies that come through those doors. The Tech I spoke with was incredibly supportive, kind and knowledgeable - before even going in she was giving advice and explaining more of the diagnosis than the ER did! The Dr. was phenomenal, she was kind, to the point and thorough! We can't suggest them enough.

We have been guided by Dr. Novosad's advice many times. Just for one example, during off-hours, we recently had an urgent issue with our 13 yo cat, and he ended up being hospitalized overnight at an emergency clinic. Over $2k later, after coming home, he still was having same issues, and the emergency clinic still had no further ideas how to help him; we took him to Troutman Animal Hospital. Dr. Novosad determined his problem and was able to correct it, and he was fine after that. She was also wonderful during the process of treating our very elderly kitty Lucy for her many health conditions and so kind when we finally had to make the hard decision to euthanize Lucy. It IS a very busy animal hospital, but they have always been able to fit me in when we had a concerning issue with one of our pets, which is something I greatly appreciate.
