We've worked with Carlos for over five years, and it's always a good day when he shows up for a new…read moreproject. He's touched nearly every corner of the house. Baseboards throughout, done clean and precise. Forty year old doors, sanded and painted until they feel fresh and contemporary again. A dated mailbox, swapped for something modern that actually fits the home. He remodeled our family room, including the fireplace and paint, and transformed our guest room with a smart closet expansion. He also retrofitted windows in several rooms, which made a noticeable difference right away. What stands out most is how much he cares. He shows up, figures things out, and leaves everything better than he found it. Reliable, thoughtful, and genuinely skilled. We trust him fully and always look forward to the next project.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but unfortunately my experience with this handyman was…read moredisappointing from start to finish. Our first correspondence began in January, and although he was unable to accommodate us until March, we were understanding and willing to wait. Initially, he quoted us for three separate projects. While the pricing seemed high, we still decided to move forward and schedule the work. One of the projects involved plumbing concerns, which became more urgent, so we decided to have our regular plumber handle that portion separately. I reached back out to revise the scope of work down to only two projects. Surprisingly, the updated quote for two projects ended up being more expensive than the original quote for all three. When I questioned the pricing, I was told the original pricing was only lower because the work had been "bundled." A few days before the scheduled appointment, I asked whether it would be possible to push the work back by one day due to a busy client schedule at our business. He declined and instead suggested an entirely different date that worked better for him, which delayed the project even further from the original timeline. We agreed in an effort to remain flexible. He later requested a deposit, which was understandable. However, because this was for our business, I requested a detailed written quote and W-9 form so our accounting department could properly process payment. Despite multiple requests, he was unable to provide the documentation needed, and communication became increasingly delayed and inconsistent. At that point, I no longer felt comfortable moving forward and decided to cancel the project. His response afterward was extremely unprofessional, to the point where I ultimately blocked further communication. We ended up hiring another handyman who completed the same work professionally and for nearly 50% less than his quoted pricing. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this handyman to other business owners looking for professionalism, transparency, and reliable communication.

I cannot recommend Jason, owner of Platinum Handyman Solutions, highly enough. After two very…read moredifferent projects at our home, he has become the person I will call first whenever I need something repaired, installed, or figured out. The first project was installing a rainfall shower head in our primary bathroom. This was not a simple fixture swap--it required cutting into stone and reworking the plumbing. I had received quotes from plumbers that were extraordinarily expensive. Jason took on the job, did absolutely beautiful, professional work, and the finished shower was perfect--for about 25% of what I had been quoted by plumbers. More recently, we had a badly damaged Murphy bed. One wooden side rail had literally split in two, while the rail on the opposite side had separated from the base of the bed. Before calling Jason, I contacted three mobile woodworking/furniture repair companies. Two never even returned my call, and the third scheduled an appointment and simply didn't show up. I finally called Jason. He came out, repaired the bed beautifully, worked quickly and professionally, and charged such an incredibly reasonable price that I actually insisted on paying him more than he asked for. Next time, I am skipping all the other calls and calling Jason first. One of the things I appreciate most about Jason is his reliability. When he tells you he will be there, he is there. That sounds like such a basic expectation, but anyone who has hired people for home repairs knows how remarkably rare it can be. Jason is someone you can genuinely count on. His work is also consistently excellent. He is skilled, meticulous, professional, and extremely reasonably priced. I have never felt that I was paying a premium simply because a job was unusual or because I didn't know exactly what kind of tradesperson I needed. But perhaps what impresses me most is the way Jason approaches problems he hasn't encountered before. He is refreshingly straightforward about what he knows and what he doesn't. If you describe something he hasn't personally worked on before, he doesn't pretend otherwise. He will tell you immediately. Then, if he thinks it is something he can solve, he will research it, consult resources when needed, figure out what he believes is the best approach, explain it to you, and ask whether you want to proceed. That combination of honesty, confidence, curiosity, and problem-solving ability is incredibly valuable. Too often, an unusual repair leaves you either searching endlessly for a highly specialized "expert" who charges an enormous amount and can't come for weeks, or dealing with someone who simply says, "I don't do that." Jason doesn't shy away from a challenge simply because it isn't something he has done a hundred times before. He thinks it through, does his homework, communicates clearly with you, and finds a solution. That is invaluable! It is rare to find someone who combines excellent craftsmanship, reliability, integrity, resourcefulness, great communication, and genuinely fair pricing. Jason has all of those qualities. I couldn't be happier with the work he has done for us. He has absolutely earned my trust, and I will use Platinum Handyman Solutions again and again and again. If you're looking for someone dependable, talented, honest, and exceptionally good at figuring out how to solve a problem, call Jason. He is a gem.
