Okay, my daughter has a "Kendra Scott" necklace, that she loves and ALWAYS has on. If you know anything about ol Kendra Scott- not cheap! ( it was a gift) all the more reason this review really touches my heart. Her necklace broke a few weeks ago, needless to say- I told her I would absolutely get it fixed! I was thinking about all of my different options to take this overpriced, but cute necklace ‍ And then it hit me! The Pawn Shop! I have previous awesome experiences with this pawn shop, dealing with my engagement ring, and left very pleased. Well, this trip did not fail to impress! I showed the broken necklace to a gentleman working there- only to find out that it could not be fixed due to the fact that the jeweler wouldn't even touch it due to the fact that it's not a precious metal. As I was about to leave disappointed, a EXTREMELY KIND INDIVIDUAL named EMILY stepped up and asked to see it. She then started to try to figure out how she could "fix" my daughter's necklace- even taking off her own jewelry to try to find the " right piece needed "- WHICH SHE DID!!!!!! They said they couldn't find the specific model of the item I brought in for sale anywhere online. No shit. I pawned prize possessions fully intending to buy them back within the month and when I did they were completely mishandled!!! Things were scratched ,dusty, completely obvious things have been picked through and put back even found residue from some kind of spill. Do not, never pawn anything you intend on coming back for things are completely mishandled behind the scenes. This is THE BEST place to go if you are willing to take 5 cents on the dollar, on Ebay's absolutely lowest closing price of a similar item. Life doesent happen on Ebay and 1 high, or 1 low sale, is not representative of the market. I brought in two federal documents, both signed by Ulysses Grant in 1874 while he was president. I wanted to get a feel for a value. I was told they are worthless and had no significance, and I dont believe that they knew who Ulysses Grant was. Their incompetence was to my benefit in this case however because I was able to sell one of these important documents for 8,500 and the second for 6,000. Shame on this place. And that woman behind the counter is a jerk, as well as incompetent like the others. Mark is ok but the owner is a snake. Burn your stuff before you take it here, please! read more

I went in there to try to sell my ladies Seiko solar watch. The guy was apparently too lazy or clueless to find out what the correct value was on it so he could give me a decent price for it. His answer to me was i cant find any Seiko solar ladies watch to compare it to.seriously???? of course he couldnt find that particular watch style anymore as the watch is at least 5 years old. But all Seiko watches have serial numbers on the back which of course he didnt even bother to look at.i wont recommend that place to anyone. read more

I highly recommend to NOT to business here. I sold an engagement ring for a very low price here. This ring needed to go and to be fair I just wanted it gone. I returned to the same store approximately two weeks later or so looking for a ring for my girlfriend. I found a ring and the price was not bad but she did not like the ring and had other plans as to when and where she would get a ring from me. I just left this store and the SAME GUY that I JUST BOUGHT this ring from for $1400 said something about bad news and said he couldn't give me more than $400! I understand their policy and WAS NOT trying to return it but asked for $600 to sell it back. I told him that's a bunch of crap and I fully intend to voice what has happened and make the public aware. They even had to opportunity to double dip on this ring but still tried to rob me. FREE ADVICE, Do not buy sell or trade with Ohio Gold & Pawn of Canton, Everhard Road . Walked in asked for the coin expert. Guy waves me over and I start taking out my treasures to set them on the counter. Once the boxed Proof 1 oz gold buffalo coin hits the counter, while I'm still talking guy starts taking off the two outer cardboard layers from the US mint, Pops open the Wood and leather box and drops the sealed coin onto the floor cracking the sealed container. I hear a crack and ramble and can't believe it. Somehow he got the gold coin back in the now broken three ways plastic shards and now puts it back on the counter. Well, now the main guy there, and the actual coin expert step up and start offering me 60% of the value of the coin. He quotes he will only pay 80% of the melt price of the gold to start with, then lowballs that with an offer of 1100 dollars. 1100 out of today's price at 1650, is not near 80%... I say wait a minute, the coin is not worth anything? He says no, 1100 dollars. Everyone already knew what happened. I explained the coin would not be for sale at 1100 dollars and we need to discuss the now, no longer mint state sealed coin. They try and get a plastic snap cover to 'fix' the problem, but by now, they are even claiming that it was my fault, the coin jumped out of a perfectly secure sealed from the mint box. Boss guy asked his employee, "Did he give you permission to open it? " I certainly did not, and did not even realize he had everything all the way open that far because I was sorting my other bullion coins. I hear the smash and that's all. The boss guy baits me after I ask what we might consider since the coin was now turned from a fine sealed proof coin to bullion, he says he'll get me a plastic cover. I asked maybe we could work out something considering the damage and the very low first offer. He say 1200 bucks. Huh? That's still no where near 80%. I said no way it's not for sale to you then. I asked again, please tell me what you can do to fix the problem. He says that's the final offer and you're trying to bully me on a price, you need to leave etc, etc. I say that's not good enough. He says "what are you going to do about it?" I said I'll call the BBB, and he flips. He says he's calling the cops and I have to go and his customers need him etc. I leave mad. Come back after cooling down and side him over out of public view and I ask him if he is willing to make it right for the damages. Again he says 1200, bucks or get out. I kindly asked for the retail difference between today's spot price and the coin, I say 250 dollars is the damage, He threatens to call the cops they continue to claim the coin was not mint sealed. etc etc. So here I am, just as I promised him I would do; and the BBB will get the call on Monday. This story will be told many places. They have insurance for damaging people's things no? Literally made a loud scene again (the boss guy did) making known to anyone with ears that I was trying to bully him a price by threatening the BBB. lol. That trip inside that door cost me 250.00 within the first three minutes of my visit, plus an additional 1/2 hour trying to simply recover the damages done by their hands, and they bullied me out the door, now lying about the condition of the coin again etc, claiming it was not a sealed container etc... It actually has a red dot on the face of the coin, which proofs a mint seal BTW. Actually, the actual coin expert (as the boss calls him) was getting involved, as soon as he saw the guy open drop, and ruin my coin. Now he's playing dumb. He actually said he has plenty of these and they don't look anything like that he says. lol. What an expert. He's never seen a proof gold buffalo I suppose. In person. That coin was a treasure, that I've had for a while and I wanted to trade for something else I wanted to do with it. They ruined the value of it by 25% or so, and really were not going to take any responsibility for it. Really great for guy number one, who did not even know how to safely and carefully open a serious coin box, to masquerade as the resident coin expert. Yeah Thanks. Went into their shop today with a couple thousand dollars to spend on guns. I was ready to drop all of it in their shop. I was pleasant and even smiling. When I asked if they sold guns a guy behind the counter proceeded to close the slide on a firearm with it pointed in my direction, and a deranged look his eye. I wish I was kidding. Then he says, "why? Why do you need to know?" Questioning me in a tone I'm sure he thought was intimidating, but only served to make him look like more of an asshole. I proceeded to tell him I am a certified gunsmith. He cut me off mid-sentence demanding to know what the paper was in my hands. It was my Federal Firearms License. An elderly man walked up to the counter beside me and the guy turns to him and was eager to help him, ignoring me completely. I'd look elsewhere to spend your hard earned cash. This pawn shop is full of trash. At least one giant lump of it. TL;DR Walked into their shop ready to spend a couple grand and all I walked out with was the knowledge that one of their employees is a total asshole. read more

Gold and diamonds, maybe. Anything else you want to sell is a waste of time. The guys there are not trained well enough to know about anything else other than weighing gold.
