This cafe has plenty of seating. The space is very open and doesn't feel crowded at all. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. The have a few pastries items and a few food items along with Gelato. We ordered two breakfast sandwiches, a gluten free cookie sandwich and a seasonal flight board so we could sample some different flavors. Everything tasted wonderful and I loved the flavors. My favorite was the fireside and my husband loved the trail mix! The staff were very friendly and so helpful with the menu options! read more

The shop itself was really nice, the staff were friendly and the environment was pleasant. My drink was okay, I much prefer homemade flavors and the drink wasn't the best. It was just okay, I probably would not visit here again. I'd just find a local shop that makes house made. read more

Ohio roasting company is easily my favorite local coffee shop. It's the one I go back to time after time. They have new features every month, so the menu offerings always stay fresh. On top of great lattes, they also have a variety of breakfast sandwiches as well as housemade gelato if you're looking for dessert. Looking for a flight? They have those too. If you're in a hurry or its too cold to get out of your vehicle, they also have a drive through! read more

We went to Ohio Roasting several times during a recent family visit and loved it so much. The coffee is very tasty, the specialty drink options were expansive, and the seating capacity is amazing for a coffee house. The staff was able to answer all of our questions and was very efficient given how busy they were both times. In addition, lot of nice outdoor seating during the right times of year. Honestly I thought I found my new spot to work and sip on amazing coffee... but THEIR WIFI IS AWFUL! Every two minutes it disconnects or is extremely slow... with only three people in the shop it should not be that slow. Aside from this their coffee is amazing and I plan to try some of their other products soon. Hopefully they fix the WIFI issue and I can come more often but it is really deterring me from coming in again. read more

I stopped this morning and ordered the breakfast sandwich with sausage, egg and cheese on an English muffin. It was very good and reasonably priced. I liked the medium roast coffee better than Starbucks because it was not bitter. Service was good and I plan to go back soon. read more

I've heard of the Ohio Roasting Company, but today was my first chance to check it out. I wasn't expecting much (probably because I have my own favorite coffee spot up north from here), but I was blown away. The coffee is delicious; the menu boasts a wide offering to coffee-drinkers and non-coffee peeps alike; the interior feels welcoming for those of us looking for a space to work for a couple hours; and the general vibe is on point. But what really impressed me was the "pay-it-forward" board. Basically, you can buy a coffee sleeve and post it on a community board just inside the order area. "Anyone who needs a pick-me-up" can grab an applicable sleeve from the board and claim $5 off their coffee order. Some examples include: single mama, social worker, police, public servant, anyone struggling with the loss of a loved one. What a creative way to give back to the community!! I think I've found a new hang out spot in the Canton area, and I can't wait to come back with friends. Well done, Ohio Roasting Company! read more

Really nice and spacious coffee shop with lots of great specialty flavors and even gelato! Plenty of seating to work or relax from. The service was nice and friendly and they did a great job on the latte art. The place is clean with a modern vibe and very well decorated. I got the salted caramel white chocolate mocha latte with oat milk and my wife got the cinnamon roll latte with oat milk. They both surprisingly tasted really great and I was shocked that flavor combination actually works. So glad I stopped in today! Well-lit, good sized space with plenty of tables to sit and hang out. They also have a drive thru if you're in more of a rush. As other reviewers mentioned, they have a really cool wall where people pre-purchase coffee sleeves that can be redeemed for drinks as a pick-me-up for those in need. They roast the beans on site and have many different non-dairy options here too. I was so excited to see macadamia nut milk! It's my favorite and not many places carry it. As I couldn't miss out on that but also wanted to partake in something fun and seasonal, I got a macadamia nut milk cappuccino with gingerbread flavoring. It did not disappoint! We're always looking for new coffee places to try when we travel and have a strong preference for local roasters. I was so pleased to find Ohio Roasting Company pop up when browsing for options in Canton and, bonus points for us, it was near our hotel. The location is bigger than I expected. My fluency in Canton has diminished, and I don't know what used to be in this location or if this is new construction. There are two large rooms with seating, a patio area, and there's also a drive-thru. We ordered a few drinks at the counter and decided to stay to enjoy them. I had an oatmilk latte (you know that already if you read my other reviews) and it was one of the best I've had recently. My husband had a cappuccino (you also know that) and really enjoyed it. We sat in the room with the roaster (not running while we were there). I enjoyed the natural lighting from the windows and the coffee-themed decor was nicely done. The colorful tasting wheel hanging on the wall was a fun discussion prompt. We also split a brownie, which was decadent and far better than we expected. We'll definitely be back on our next visit to town. Glad to have a new option when visiting! read more

So this place is new in October of 2021. I got a large medium brew coffee EXCELLENT !! I also got a breakfast sandwich, a Maple sausage, egg, and cheese English muffin ... Again EXCELLENT... Staff is 100 % friendly and knowledgeable, and they are well staffed as well ... I stopped by because my Dr's office is right next door... I loved this place when I first moved to Ohio. Today I ordered a drink with no ice and the cup was barely half full. Maybe this will be a class action lawsuit in the future because there is no way that this is the number of ounces of beverage that customers believe they are purchasing. Even Starbucks fills it most of the way full, charging a nominal amount to fill the cup if there is no ice. When I expressed my concern to the associate, she pointed out that this cup was already too full - - that it is only supposed to be exactly half full if there is no ice. I have never had this happen before here and was pretty shocked. read more

Well I just went through the drive through, but reading all these reviews and seeing the "coffee sleeve board" makes me want to go back and go on inside and treat someone to a cup of coffee. What a very kind and loving concept! Coffee truly brings joy and kindness, doesn't it? I just had a black coffee (my go-to) but it was hot, rich, and flavorful. I was happy with it. Today's blueberry cream cheese bistro (kinda a croissant pastry) warmed to take the chill of fall's official arrival was DELICIOUS! Cortado is always my go to expresso drink here...it's smooth & clean...MUST enjoy in a ceramic cup (no paper/cardboard cup please)! Dog friendly patio while Ohio's temperature allows is a plus (+). I came across this place accidentally while driving around the area and have come back multiple times since. The coffee is good and they always have different holiday specials drinks that are fun. The staff is very nice and friendly. The atmosphere is perfect for getting some lite studying or work done. It can get pretty loud but it is a good place to come if you need a change of space. read more

I had their medium roast coffee with a shot of hazelnut flavoring and also an apple scone. Everything was good. Nice ambience inside. Very busy with lots of young people. I sat outside on their patio but the main road is right there with lots of traffic so not that pleasant. They should put up some attractive fencing or screening to make the patio nicer. read more

THIS CRAZYY!!!! Love the cute shop, the service, the comfy chairs, the decorations, and the absolute grit to make magnificent coffee on the face of this earth. I tasted the toasted marshmallow mocha latte, and a flavor bomb exploded in my mouth. It was even cooler that my smoking hot girlfriend came along with me. CINNAMON ROLL LATTE. Wow. Just wow. Best coffee I have had. Bae had a toasted marshmallow mocha which was mid but mine was amazing. Very cute and productive atmosphere BUT the plants are NOT real. Major downfall to this place. Sat in the comfy chairs by the register and lived my best life with bae. Very filling coffee, unlike the orange and pink coffee shop that will go unnamed. Very Good Coffee Drinks!! Baristas that strive to make coffee drinks correctly!!! I've been a Starbucks customer for probably 40 years and 95% of the time order the same thing, an Espresso Macchiato. . . getting Starbucks to make it correctly is like bowling a Strike . . only happens about 15% of the time . . But this is not the case at Ohio Roasting Company . . Perfect Every Time . . Can't help but believe the local Starbucks is gonna feel the impact of baristas that know what they are doing!!! read more

I visited for the first time today and it was packed. They have some unique drink options which was a nice change. The coffee was good and the place is very nice and clean. My complaint was that they were out of medium cups (the most popular size and on a Saturday) so the girl said I had to choose another size. I asked why they couldn't put a medium sized drink in a large cup and she said she wasn't allowed. Seems like a crappy way to force people to spend more money. If you aren't prepared you need to find a way to accommodate your customers. read more

I discovered Pearl a few years ago through word of mouth and my employer where Pearl Coffee was sold and served. This is a review of my personal visits to their place of business on Broadway. In the last 5 months I've bought a pound of coffee every several weeks. I usually showed up on a weekday shortly before closing. I've tried a single origin Ethiopian, their Pumpkin Spice blend, and their Diana Blend. For my experience purchasing coffee and asking about available coffee it seems Pearl primarily roasts medium to dark coffees. The Diana Blend is their lightest roast. I usually drink single origin light roasts from microroasters and their Diana Blend is more like a medium roast. The Diana Blend is a really enjoyable blend and it's no wonder it is their best selling. It's consistently good as well. I think they have over 30 different coffees, from Pumpkin Spice to single origins from Ethiopia. I like the variety. Whole bean and ground coffee available. They also sell syrups, some tea bags and other season items. Buying at their Broadway location is easy and simple. When I first visited I didn't know what I wanted and they were able to offer me a couple coffees based on my preferences. I've stuck with the Diana Blend because it's good and right now it's $7.50 a pound. I believe you can order ahead and pick up at the store. I've seen orders sitting out. The staff are very nice and friendly. Walking into the store is like walking back into history with the pictures and newspapers clippings on the walls telling the history of Pearl Coffee and the old coffee equipment on display. Their connection to the local community and relationship with their patrons is evidenced by the many pictures of their patrons on the walls. Their is also a little section in the back with other coffee decorative items, I believe. I sort of remember wandering back there while waiting. Try some coffee from Pearl Coffee. I recommend their Diana Blend.

Ohio Roasting Company is hands down one of the best coffee spots around. The quality of their coffee is outstanding--rich, smooth, and roasted to perfection. You can tell they take real pride in their craft. I tried both a pour-over and a latte, and each one was excellent. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a modern but cozy vibe that makes it a great place to sit and relax or get some work done. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to make recommendations if you're not sure what to try. The hollandaise on their breakfast sandwich is now a broken, greasy mess. The "sourdough" is generic white bread. What's even worse than the food is the staff. In the last two years, the staff has degenerated to an incompetent , bedraggled mess. The staff has never had to wear a uniform, but perhaps it's time for them to institute one. In my last several visits, I've seen grossly oversized clothes that have the staff looking like they just rolled out of bed. Hair is unkempt, not brushed, loose, and hanging down past their shoulders. A recipe for getting hair in my food. Furthermore, the staff is no longer smiling or friendly and can't answer basic questions about the menu. They seem confused about where they are and the service they provide. On top of all this, they maintain their strict breakfast timeframe. Why they have decided to stick to antiquated time limits for the food that is always available in their kitchen is beyond me. The barest minimum of market research would show how popular breakfast sandwiches are all day. The nearby university (University of Akron) is a medium- to large-sized school that has many of the chain eateries and coffeehouses nearby. Not surprisingly, a major university niche area is polymer engineering, which relates to the rubber industry. I asked about independent coffeehouses and was steered several miles west on Market Street to Angel Falls Coffee, although I was given some other indie names. The name Angel Falls registered. Located in Venezuela, it is the tallest waterfall in the world! I was also told that the coffeehouse and its immediate area, Highland Square, lean bohemian and is where the cool kids in the area opt to live. Once you get out of your car, the quirkiness of the area is evident and it continues in going inside to Angel Falls Coffee. If it were in a strip mall, which it is not, Angel Falls would seemingly take up two bays. The left half of the store is where you order near the glass cases and where there is merchandise. The right half of the store is the slightly frumpy wood paneled coffeehouse with the seating. I need to immediately mention some things. The selection of teas is stellar. I was able to land on apricot flavored tea that is a caffeinated black tea. It was delicious. If that isn't enough, there's a large selection of cookies, cupcakes, pastries, and slices of cake and the prices are fair. The cupcake I selected was excellent. The service is pleasant enough and they attend to people quickly. You can take your purchase to go. However, many people choose to stay to eat in. Places like Angel Falls make me chuckle and scratch my head as to how I check the D box on my voter registration yet I find counterculture people amusing, intriguing, and irritating. Now, at a suburban coffee house where many of the patrons might check the R box, these mental gymnastics wouldn't even register. But I don't want to check the R box. Thus, I rolled with this "rubbing of the elbows" with some unique people: Highland Square residents, Akron U. students, university employees, progressives, hippies, various area residents who come because it's a good coffeehouse, and others steered here because of asking for recommendations. You'll remember this coffeehouse because it's far from cookie cutter. Parking can be found free of charge on the side streets. There are diagonal parking spaces out front that are metered. Again, the coffeehouse itself is a little bit dowdy which detracts from it getting 5 stars. But the selection of teas, baked goods, and the expedient service are its strong points. I'm sure the coffee, of which there are many varieties, is also good. There are also some interesting eateries packed into these few blocks. Angel Falls is thus squarely a 4 star experience and one that I could see people repeating often if a local, or from time to time if passing through.
