A fantastic gelato spot in Little Italy! The shop offers a wide variety of flavors. After trying a sample, I went with a large scoop of frutti di bosco, a mixed berry gelato. Though I did raise an eyebrow at the price ($6.75), the friendly staff really stuffed the cup with gelato and packed it in there, so the large scoop is indeed large. The frutti di bosco was utterly refreshing, and the flavor tasted great, like actual berries. The smooth and dense gelato contained a bunch of berry bits. YUM! Rossi Gelato was delicious! We went on a Saturday afternoon when the weather was nice. We had to wait a little while as there was only one person working, but it was worth the wait! The best gelato I've ever had. The prices seem pricey for Cleveland, but they really cram the gelato into the cup size of your choosing. I had the mint and sea salt caramel. The mint tasted like actual mint toothpaste, which I don't mind the taste of. The sea salt caramel was delicious. It was smooth and not too sweet! The interior of the cafe is bright and clean. We used to go to the old location when it was in Rocky River. It seems that things have gone downhill since they moved. The people working were nice. However, the flavors weren't as intense. My sister found a large hair in her gelato. Several of the flavors were out. I love coming to Rosso Gelato after eating too much pasta at the abundance of Italian restaurants in Little Italy. It seems like a relatively new place here in Little Italy and it's super clean with a nice ambiance. The A/C is also blasting. It is definitely one of my favorite finds after my recent move to Cleveland. There's a lot of flavors, a variety of sorbet and gelato, as well as one or two non-sugar options. Sizes are small, medium, and large- $3.50, $6, and $7, respectively. After some taste testing, I decided on Frutti di Bosco, which has 4 different type of berries and is very refreshing, so I got it twice! I also tried green apple, which tasted like green apple Jolly Ranchers. My boyfriend picked coffee and then salted caramel. Coffee was a bit tame flavor-wise and definitely too milky. Salted caramel was absolutely delicious, tasted exactly like those delicious caramel chews, and had crunchy salted caramel bits sprinkled throughout. On such a hot day, we decided to visit Little Italy to enjoy some gelato. With such high ratings on Google search, we decided to give this place a try. We wanted to love it as there were many regulars there, and the line was long. Let me first start by saying the place is clean and the customer service is excellent. There was only one guy handling everyone's orders. He was polite and patient, and definitely working hard to quickly serve us. You can get two flavors in any size cups which is a benefit when you can't decide the flavor you want. There were so many flavors to choose from. We ordered the Lemon custard and the raspberry in a mid size cup for $5.50. Very reasonably priced, but it just did not hit the right spot, maybe it was just the flavors we picked. I got a small cup of the blood orange which was tasty and different, kind of along the lines of a sherbert. It was $5 for each small cup which is a little expensive, but they do load the cups up pretty full. We wish we could've gotten samples before ordering, but it might have been that just during the feast they weren't offering samples? Not sure if that's different on a regular day. They range from no sugar added chocolate to dark chocolate (nero), deliciously tart green apple, coffee, amaretto, banana, and many more. The smallest single scoop is $3.75. You pay a 25-cent card fee if total bill is under $5. They sometimes have small Italian bakery items like mini biscotti but all of these I've tried are really not worth your time and are all totally "meh". If you don't want gelato you should however try the panna cotta which is a cooked cream or the pistachio cheesecake which is light in texture and richly flavorful. read more

The corner store is sparkling white with Mediterranean pictures and a red scooter. Gelato is the Italian ice cream, bright in color and with vivid flavors. The mint was nicely balanced, fresh and flavorful. The salted carmel had a nice carmel flavor, but I missed the salty contrast I was expecting. The Noir was the standout, among the darkest most chocolaty flavors you will find, if you love dark chocolate this is the flavor for you. I'm so happy they added a gelato place in Little Italy! It is the perfect place to go after a nice dinner in the area, especially now that the weather is getting nicer. The times that I have been to Rosso Gelato, I've been warmly greeted by the workers who are so patient to answer all my questions (as well as waiting for a while for me to choose my flavors). They are also generous with letting people try samples, which is a must especially since there are so many tempting flavors. They have flavors that range from fruity, chocolately, nutty, minty, and more. My favorite flavors so far are dark chocolate, hazelnut, and passionfruit -- but I definitely still have to go back and try others! My only caveat (hence the 4 star rating) is that some of the flavors tasted rather "ice-y, " instead of the smooth texture I expect gelato to be. I ordered the small, which is $3.75 and can include two flavors. I had coffee and chocolate malt. The coffee gelato was sweet and creamy, and the chocolate malt had a few pieces of candy in it. Both were delicious. My son had lemon and blood orange. He said that they were both very tart and the blood orange was not as sweet as he had expected. He would not recommend getting them together as it was just too much "sour" and not enough sweet, and would likely try two different flavors next time. My husband had cookies and cream gelato with chocolate malt and highly recommends both! If you aren't sure what you'd like, they do allow you to try any flavor, which we should have done to avoid the lemon/blood orange combo. read more

Went here for a Valentine's snack with my boyfriend. Wanted try a new gelato place instead of going to my usual stops. So glad I made that decision! I was pleasantly surprised that they allowed samples despite COVID still lingering around. They had a wide selection of gelato flavors both sweet and fruity. You are also able to get 2 flavors in a cup if you really can't choose! I picked birthday cake and chocolate hazelnut. Great combo! I also got a hazelnut latte to go with it. The staff were friendly and very sweet. Brought the latte straight to my table. Next time I come back I'm gonna pick of some macrons because those looked just as good as the gelato too. read more
