Two strawberry gelatos and one blood orange gelato
    Juanamarie P.

The gelato at Rosso Gelato was so good! I'm usually an ice cream girl but Rosso Gelato was recommended to me and my family and we were glad we went. We were able to sample different flavors before making a decision but I knew right when I walked in and saw the strawberry gelato, that's what I wanted. Two of us got strawberry gelato and one blood orange. Check them out if you're visiting Little Italy and looking for a sweet treat.

The best gelato I've ever had. The prices seem pricey for Cleveland, but they really cram the gelato into the cup size of your choosing. I had the mint and sea salt caramel. The mint tasted like actual mint toothpaste, which I don't mind the taste of. The sea salt caramel was delicious. It was smooth and not too sweet! The interior of the cafe is bright and clean. A bunch of retro car-related items are on display. Definitely check them out if you're a fan of motorcycles or cars. Parking is rough in Little Italy. But Rosso Gelato is worth an extra walk compared to the other places located in Little Italy.

Visiting Cleveland today and explores their little Italy region. I live this little place. First off appreciate your precautions for Covid and the staff being so friendly!!!! They let you Teaster various flavors. Costs range from $4-$6 (s, m and large). I hade raspberry truffle and one that tasted just like chocolate chip ice cream. Their lemon is great .. so much lemon flavor. Sitting inside and out. Would def try this again if in the area!!!

How could you not get gelato when in Little Italy? Ate dinner close by and the bakeries were already closed, so happy Rosso was open. Beautiful selection of gelato and sorbets. Many, many flavors to choose from! Bright lovely colors. I had a small cup of lemon custard and raspberry truffle, cost $4.50. Love how the server scooped it tall. So creamy and delicious!

I got blood orange and blackberry

Place: This place is in in little Italy. The store is pretty good and spacious. There are covid precautions. Service: The service was amazing and helped with what to choose. Everyone is wearing a mask (yay). Food/price: The price is pretty worth it. I got blood orange and black raspberry. I got the small and it is around $3.00. They don't sample due to covid so why not be adventurous to pick a new flavor. There are many other flavors if you like tangy. My friend got ube and vanilla custard which also was pretty good! Audience: Great for family and friends. Recommend/tips? I recommend this place! I plan to come here again :)

I'm happy this shop has opened to Little Italy. Cleveland was missing some good gelato! I love the creamier flavors and have been able to try the salted caramel and hazelnut. Both delicious. But i will say my two favorite flavors currently are grapefruit and blood orange. Paired together, they are super refreshing on a hot summer cleveland day.

I love coming to Rosso Gelato after eating too much pasta at the abundance of Italian restaurants in Little Italy. It seems like a relatively new place here in Little Italy and it's super clean with a nice ambiance. The A/C is also blasting. It is definitely one of my favorite finds after my recent move to Cleveland. There's a lot of flavors, a variety of sorbet and gelato, as well as one or two non-sugar options. Sizes are small, medium, and large- $3.50, $6, and $7, respectively. After some taste testing, I decided on Frutti di Bosco, which has 4 different type of berries and is very refreshing, so I got it twice! I also tried green apple, which tasted like green apple Jolly Ranchers. My boyfriend picked coffee and then salted caramel. Coffee was a bit tame flavor-wise and definitely too milky. Salted caramel was absolutely delicious, tasted exactly like those delicious caramel chews, and had crunchy salted caramel bits sprinkled throughout. Portion wise, I felt like small was enough for me and they really loaded that small cup up. Definitely worth a visit (or two!) in Little Italy.

Wide variety of gelato favors! Flavors could've been a little richer, but still not bad for a late night gelato spot in the cute ambience of little Italy!

Excellent gelato!!! I had the cookies and cream and the Nero. Nero is a water based (vegan) chocolate gelato. It kinda tasted like dark chocolate, or like brownie batter. The cookies and cream was absolutely delicious. Great gelato at an excellent price and portion size! Highly recommend!

Blood orange & brownies and cream

Take this review with a grain of salt knowing we came here during the Feast, so operations may have been a little different that day! My husband got a small cup of the brownies and cream which he thought was good, not mind-blowing. I got a small cup of the blood orange which was tasty and different, kind of along the lines of a sherbert. It was $5 for each small cup which is a little expensive, but they do load the cups up pretty full. We wish we could've gotten samples before ordering, but it might have been that just during the feast they weren't offering samples? Not sure if that's different on a regular day. Overall, good gelato, I might not go out of my way to come here, but reasonable for a sweet treat if you're in the area.

Incredible flavor selection! Service was fast, they give you a HUGE portion for the "small". Will definitely be back :)

first time i got the coffee flavored and wasn't a huge fan. It wasn't super sweet which is nice but the coffee was very strong (felt like you just chugged two shots of espresso). Still very good quality gelato but it just comes down to personal preference i suppose. second time i got half salted caramel because they're almost out, and half chocolate brownies. the combo worked really well together and i'm glad they let me combine multiple flavors in one cup. my friend tried their chocolate and strawberry sorbetto and absolutely loved it. she said it was super creamy and not heavy at all which is a rare find.

Tucked in Coventry neighborhood, there's Phoenix Coffee. The first thing you notice walking in is the vibe -- warm exposed brick walls, quirky and ever-changing local art (currently fairytale motif), and the smell of seriously strong, seriously good coffee. The Siren Eclipse art on the wall is alone worth the visit. And the scones? Unreal. Flaky, buttery, and somehow always fresh out of the oven. Really probably the best around. There's also other breakfast snacks like muffins and such. Very limited options but very tasty. Bonus points for the greenery -- the place doubles as a mini plant shop. There's a few leafy ones you can pick up. I got large drip coffee while I was there and it perfectly strong. There's two size options, light or dark roast. The menu also features some seasonal favorites. I had recently spring matcha there that was so vibrantly green. There's also a pretty extensive tea assortment. For warmer months, consider seating outside. They have very fun and aesthetically pleasing wooden benches. Street parking is available in the area but it gets busy. Try parking garage on the street to park. It's free to use.

It's called the Coffee House at University Circle, but I've also heard it called University Coffee House. The streets here are gridded and, north of Case Western Reserve University's smaller quad, other academic units and buildings might be found on these blocks. Incidentally, I can explain Case Western succinctly. Just like Duke, Vanderbilt, and Emory might be "Southern Ivies," private and prestigious Case Western and Carnegie Mellon in not too distant Pittsburgh seem like "two peas in a pod" and are STEM powerhouses. The kids in here seem serious and do not come across like partying types. The Coffee House occupies a loosely Tudor-styled older building that might have been something else at one time. It has two levels, with bigger rooms downstairs and smaller ones upstairs. The coffee and tea are fairly priced and there are also sweet and savory items. On the day I visited, I had walked over from the main UH Medical Center, bypassing the Starbucks that is much closer to it. I'm glad I did. I also stumbled onto the day of the week when their big cookies are $1. They feature daily specials. I didn't go looking for cookies, nor for deals on them. I was still expecting to get something to accompany my hot drink - Earl Grey tea. The service was fine. They might make recommendations if you ask and they are patient. There will be CWRU students in here with their laptops open. There will also be faculty members. There will also be people involved in or receiving health care at the medical complexes in University Circle, doing something stimulating the intellect at the renowned and free of charge Cleveland Museum of Art or at Severance Hall for musical performances, partaking in a Meetup, and then some. But I'd say that at least half of those present are connected to academia. It's an imposing large coffeehouse. There's an outdoor terrace out front for when the weather is cooperating. Note that the window of hours is sort of tight and doesn't go too far into the evening. Either way, the Coffee House at University Circle makes for a neat environment for doing the coffeehouse thing, with or without a laptop open.
