I showed up ontime to my appt, but according the their "rules" that were not stated over the phone while making my 1st appt. I was supposed to show up 15min early to fill out paperwork. I asked if they could make an exception simply bc this was not stated when I called to make appointment. I asked if the Dr. was ready to see me and the male receptionist said No, but you have to be here 15 min early to be seen. I asked if I were to have to wait an hour to see the Dr. ,which I have done in the past, would he see me? NO, again. Then hands me 2 forms to fill out which i was able to do in less than 2mins. It takes time and preparation to go to the Dr.'s; for me, getting a babysitter, taking time off work, to not be seen by someone who is in the business of "Caring for people". I am truly sick, vomiting blood, the reason I made the appt. I'm glad that EVeryone at Dr. Derek Stone's office, especially front staff were so rude and unhelpful to be in the field of medical care. Worst experience of my life, while in my time of medical attention needed.

I missed the call from my awesomely concerned family doctor who had already reviewed my ER records despite the fact that it was a holiday and she was supposed to be relaxing. She wanted to have me come in for a follow-up exam. Since I didn't recognize the number and my voicemail box was jammed full, I didn't know I was supposed to go in. But on Thanksgiving, in the evening, when I relapsed into that toxic pain and shaking, my family called Dr. Rentel. She was there, and she had advice. She got me through the night and saw me first thing Monday. This is the most compassionate doctor. I love her to pieces. She has her patients' best interest in mind. She really cares about your health. And she's funny and easy to talk to. I have high praise for Dr. Rentel. If you're looking for a new family doctor, definitely try to get in with her. It will be tough. Since she's so amazing, she's always booked full. But if you happen to call the office when they're taking new patients, you musn't undervalue the opportunity. Jump on it! They sent me away with anxiety meds. Needless to say, I didn't take them and went to see Dr. Rentel the following Monday. By chance, I was assigned to her when I was a student at OSU in the student health department. She asked me if I had allergies, to which I replied NO. She took a good look at me and said, "Yes you do." She gave me oral steroids and within 24 hours my breathing issues were totally resolved. Turns out, I have a severe grass pollen allergy that developed as an adult and procudes asthma. I'm now taking allergy shots to help build a tolerance to my allergies and symptoms. Can I give them no stars? I would give them no stars if I could. Honestly, if you want quality healthcare, this is not the place to get it. I work in the medical industry and this is the worst care I have ever received. If you never have a medical emergency I guess this place may be okay to go to. If you ever need any records or to check on anything in your medical past; good luck. It is 2014 and they're still using paper charting and have "a room full of files that may take weeks to sort through" for one file. This is just bad business. I experienced severe stomach pain and was getting nowhere with Dr. Burda (test after test and nobody there had any idea as to why I was in pain). As soon as I changed doctors I was informed after my second visit that I had an inflamed appendix and was scheduled that day for emergency surgery. If an appendix bursts and isn't taken care of it can lead to sepsis (blood poisoning and death). Please, go somewhere else for quality healthcare. If you care about your family, I wouldn't trust Davidson Road Primary Care with their health.
