I went on a Sunday morning right when they opened, and the trash was overflowing in the women's bathroom. I also stepped on a loose screw which got stuck in my shoe in the bathroom. Again. Last November it was out for nearly a month. Same laminated sign. Same vague timeline. Same "maintenance" fog where accountability should be. Let's be clear: this is the only steam room in Washington County. If there were another option, I'd already be gone. The only reason I maintain this membership is access to that amenity -- the one advertised, promoted, and built into the monthly fee. A membership is a transaction. I pay. You provide what you advertise. Since this location can't seem to keep a core amenity operational, maybe it's time the people at the top hear about it directly. VASA is backed by private equity firm Silver Oak Services Partners, and led by CEO Rich Nelsen. When a company scales across multiple states and markets premium amenities, operational consistency isn't optional -- it's the business model. If the steam room is going to be chronically unreliable, say that plainly. Don't market it as a feature if it's a recurring casualty of "maintenance." Members shouldn't have to escalate basic facility upkeep beyond the front desk. But when a pattern repeats, escalation becomes reasonable. Fix it. Maintain it. Or adjust the membership pricing and advertising to reflect reality. Right now, it feels like we're paying for a promise that keeps evaporating. And steam, at the very least, should show up. If i could give negative stars i would. this gym converted a ton of the free weights areas to red…read morelight therapy and pilates rooms that require additional payment to have access to. they charged me for a towel service i never used or consented to. the process of exiting my membership took over a month snd they still required me to pay for that month even though i moved out of state and had given them a 30 day notice before i even moved. this gym is a money grab. they dont care about their members and even the employees i talked to said the managers dont give a crap about members which is why they've made the changes they have and make the cancellation process such a headache. even after i cancelled and asked they remove my card from their files they charged me again (my first request to cancel was 7/17 and i was just charged 9/17) and when i reached out for a refund they said i hadn't exited properly. they said they would just count that payment as my cancellation payment (that i already paid). genuinely the worst gym ive ever been to.
