Fast. Fast fast fast. Affordable! I am *so* cheap, but I *gasp* Added On Services Recommended. Thorough: the checklist system is fantastic. Easy! Pull in, drive-through-car-wash-style, and relinquish control. I went in today because my 7 year old Saturn was making that slight watch-wind ticking sound that indicates low/low-quality lubrication. That's a BAD sound, folks. Also on twisty curves the oil light was flickering on. OOPS! I got a full service oil change which basically meant sit-back and neaten the car's interior as the pros handled everything, for $36. They start the oil change with a siphon and while that's going on they touch, test and taste the other fluids in the engine. I got a free top-off on wiper fluid (prior "fill" had been me pouring in my gym bottle of water). I got a smear sheet that showed (and this was no news) that my power steering fluid was a shade painters call burnt umber. Not good. With everything going so smoothly, I opted for a $55 flush and change.. hey, the last time *I* tried to put power steering fluid in a car, I was also topping off the brake fluid and ACCIDENTS HAPPEN. As the closing act they call out the closings and tightenings and fittings so that you know they've checked everything that was taken apart and you KNOW it has been put back together. They also run a lights & blinkers check. Totally awesome. There are occasional coupons; I found a $7 off in the popular Entertainment Book. Worth it. Totally and completely worth it. Especially in Berkeley - all the caustic nasty bad stuff that needs changing in a vehicle, knowing that these guys are under some pretty rigorous disposal guidelines is a good thing. read more

The quickest, most thorough oil change I've ever had! People always complain about VWs and how their oil is hard to change, but these guys did it with ease. They also checked my tires, my lights, and washed my windows. All while I hung out in my car. Usually have oil changed when I have my 2014 Fiat serviced at dealership ( I know, I know!) but went to Oil Changers today. Job was done in 15 minutes while I sat in my car. They checked and knew to put in synthetic oil ( I hadn't known). Roberto, explained each step and the cost. He checked my turn signals, and cleaned my very dirty windshield as part of the oil change service. He was polite and efficient. Very pleasant experience. Highly recommend. If all technicians are as good as Roberto, I hope Oil Changes management is paying them all well. They deserve it. read more

Pretty standard oil change at a decent price. Quick and friendly. Although for some reason I can't really put my finger on, I prefer the other drive-through oil change place a few blocks south on San Pablo (Pro-Lube Oil Change). The attendant at this place tried to sell me a new oil filter, but my car was JUST looked over by my mechanic and he didn't mention it needing one - so I maybe I didn't like the attempt to up-sell. read more

I had the best experience ever getting my oil changed here. Shawn and Alton have the best customer service. From the full service oil change to advice about my car, I felt well taken care of. I shared with them how I had the worst experience at one of their other locations (West Grand- Oakland) and how I never went back to that location again. That location mentioned above has the worst customer service ever. I digressed, but Al and Shawn were the best and they were all smiles too. Went in for an oil change for my Volkswagen today, and was very pleased with my experience. You don't even have to get out of the car! Very friendly customer service; fast and knowledgable. They even take the time to wash your windows, check your fluids and all of the vehicles lights (headlights, high beams, blinkers, etc). Be sure to use the coupon available online for $5 off. My only grievance is the "Full Service" Oil change says it comes with all theses inspections and window washing (http://oilchangerinc.com/full-service-oil-change/) I have never once received about 1/2 of the things it supposedly includes. I never write reviews, but then again I rarely recieve service with such professionalism and knowledge. I took my mercedes to oil changers after being told by surrounding shops there was a 2-3 day wait. There wasnt any wait at oil changers. First I was worried that maybe it was due to a bad reputation but an employee named Alton imedietly changed my outlook. He knew more about the car than I did. He gave me insight and options. He even corrected a mistake made by whoever changed the oil before.(double gasket) I was very impressed with the service at oul changers mainly due to the fact that Alton was in charge. read more

If I could give 6 stars I would! I brought in a VW beetle that was rarely driven and had not been driven for almost a year and so I thought I should take it in for an oil change. My last oil change was also done by the Oil Changers. The guys working there were super honest and told me cars that use synthetic oil don't really need their oil changed unless there a lot of mileage is put on the car. Then they showed me the oil stick and said the oil still looked really clean. So, they told me I didn't have to change the oil and didn't charge me even for checking the oil! These guys are so honest, I'd go back to them any day. read more
