BEWARE! This place has strippid my oil filler plug on my last car, and then the transmission filler plug on my current. They never tell you when it happens. They tell you it is stripped at your next visit and deny any responsibility for it. One guy said "that could've happened anywhere". Replacing the entire pan with plug in it is several hundred dollars which I've done twice now. That's if it doesn't to even more damage to your engine or transmission. They told me that a manager would call me to contact me About the situation and they never did Also, there were leaks found in my transmission fluid after they worked on it my car is making a weird noise now when idle and when I went to pop my hood a literal loose screw popped out LOL It took me really long to open the hood because when I tried to open it the plastic part drilled back into the car had now got twisted and overlapped with the lever used to open the hood read more

BEWARE!!!!! I've been going to this place the past 5 oil changes and everything has been perfect until the last one. Tech came up to me and said my oil pan was stripped, mind you I've only gone here for oil change services the past 2 years. Never once was I told that it was stripped before today so it had to have happened last time and I wasn't told about it. I'm extremely frustrated given I had no leaks at all before servicing my car here and now I'm stuck with having to repair something their techs were responsible for. It's not worth it take your car somewhere that will actually treat it with care. read more

I won't be going back. Price was reasonable for an oil change. I appreciate that they showed me the dipstick upon completion, like any reputable shop would. However, they get a vote of no confidence from me. The receipt indicates they did all sorts of things, some of which they did not ("Wash Windshield: Completed" and "Wiper Blades: OK"). As a result, I have no confidence that they did any of the other 10 or so checks it lists as being completed. The person who worked on my car was extremely sparse with words, and seemed inconvenienced by my rudimentary question (how much it would cost, it being my first time using their service). Giving them 2 stars because they changed the oil and the price was reasonable. Next time I'll drive farther at a less convenient time to have my mechanic do this, or use Mizuki on MLK who charges a bit more but lets me just drop off the car and run errands on foot downtown rather than having to wait a long time in the vehicle for the car in front of me to get completed as well as while they work on my own car. read more

They helped me right away with diagnosing a new check engine light (due to very low air in all 4 tires) and let me know that once I drive for a bit the engine light would turn off - which it did! They checked my oil and said it was still full - and did not charge me for an unneeded service. Seriously the best experience ever. Thank you so much, guys! read more

It's not every Jiffy Lube that you go to that brings a family vibe with Karen courtesy. But this one in Berkeley and or you can call it on the "border of Oakland" shines in that regard. Prior to moving to the Eastbay three months ago from the coast, I had usually attended the oil changers in Pacifica. Not only was I kind a greeted, buy one but by three people, I was in and out and it was a Thursday before 3pm. The two gentleman and gal helped me out and held good conversation. I also got a discount for a doing a combo service and that was tight! I felt feeling good and wanting to go back, that's the hardest feeling to get from a mechanic, right?!? Shout out to Kimbi! I have never seen such incompetence. They have damaged two of my vehicles while trying to exchange oil. One day overfilled, causing the rear main seal to fail and costing me the vehicle. The second while doing an oil change, they managed to break one of my coolant hose connections costing me several hundred dollars. Avoid this place at all times. read more
