I'm extremely disappointed with how my husband was treated at Oil Changers on Thursday, August 27, at approximately 1:15 PM. Although I was not physically there, I was on the phone with my husband as the situation unfolded. He had been waiting his turn when another customer drove around him, cut him off, and even performed a three-point turn to get ahead of him in line. My husband honked once to get the employee's attention and indicate that he had been next. Instead of addressing the customer who cut the line, the employee became irritated with my husband. He felt so disrespected by the interaction that he left without getting his oil changed. What made this especially concerning was that my husband is Black and the customer who cut in front of him was white. I cannot say what was in the employee's mind, but reprimanding my husband while accommodating the person who behaved improperly felt like a microaggression and raised concerns about whether both customers were treated equally. I later spoke with Don, the manager, hoping to give Oil Changers an opportunity to address the situation. His response was essentially, "Thanks for letting me know." I even suggested that someone call my husband to acknowledge what happened and apologize, but Don showed no interest in taking his information or following up. I wasn't asking for anything free. I simply wanted the situation acknowledged and handled appropriately. I hope someone above the location level reviews what happened and uses it as an opportunity to address fair and consistent customer treatment. My husband came for an oil change and left because of how he was treated. Management then had an opportunity to make it right and chose not to. We expected better. read more

I drove into Oil Changers approximately 30 minutes prior to their closing. The two men who helped me were very professional. They were clear yet brief in their explanations of all things concerning my service and my car, they did their job speedily and efficiently. Christian was very customer service oriented. I am doing a road trip this week so I went to Oil Changers to make sure my fluids were topped off and I didn't have any leaks and to check if I needed any services done. Christian indicated to me I had a transmission leak and another leak. He checked my Car requirements and I was due for a transmission and coolant flush. He checked my fluids and they were fine. Given I have a leak I will be taking my car to the mechanic to have the whole car checked out. Christian was very nice about the whole thing and explain things to me patiently. The store manager and regional manager's response was we can give you a refund of approximately 40-50$ Not their problem right? This could've caused thousands of dollars of damages and costed me my vehicle and their offer is just a small refund? Not to mention the big bad attitude they both had on the phone. Clearly these two lack integrity and professionalism. I opted not to do this but how this was handled is why I'm writing this today. I hope this stays up as a reminder to actually give a damn if you make a mistake and not pass it off cause you're to lazy or entitled. read more

Avoid this location like the plague. I was there on a Friday afternoon about 4pm and there were about 2 cars ahead of me. I thought - no problem - if it's 10 minutes per car, that's about a 20 minute wait - since on the building it says 10 minutes. I was there for over 30 minutes and when it was my turn, the mechanic says "we're going to change the oil for the lady's car on your right - she arrived earlier. Why have 2 lines if it doesn't mean anything? So much for quick oil changes. I had somewhere to be by 5 and thought at this rate I'm going to be late, so I left. I liked Castrol Premium Lube Express on 1st St, but that became a Oil Changers, too, and they seem to be getting some bad reviews too - slow oil changes, high prices, faulty oil changes. We had traveled 700 miles from Arizona to Cali and realized we needed our oil changed! Found this Oil Changers in Livermore. Roosevelt took great care of us; he was polite, knew what he was doing, friendly, professional! There was a moment when he had to ask for help and his supervisor took over for that one situation (he wasn't very nice to Roosevelt though-rude)!! Usually fast and efficient! But my last oil change was a disaster. They did not properly attach or fasten the oil filter and no oil was going to my engine. I had to go to a mechanic, get another oil change, and I am still waiting on Oil Changers to send me a refund which they said would take one week. Oil Changers took over the Castrol place on First St. that I used to goto. I was disappointed since they used to let me bring my own oil and filter and service my car for about $40. I still have a lot of synthetic oil sitting in my garage so I dropped by this Oil Changers location and asked if they would do the same if I brought my own oil and filter. They said yes, although it wasn't as cheap as at Castrol (but still fairly reasonable). Anyway, the whole process took about 20 minutes and was as painless as others have described. (There was a bay open so I didn't have to wait.) I'm happy I don't have to learn how to change my own oil and I will still be able to use the synthetic oil sitting in my garage. read more

Got the job done but "quick" and "efficient" and "low cost" don't seem to fit. Had 4 cars in line in front of me, so had to wait 25 min to start service then another 15 min to finish. But... $102 for the lowest level oil change for my little 2021 Hyundai was shocking. I came here a few years ago and paid half that, for a similar compact Hyundai. Had the transmission oil changed in my Subaru. Had to take it to the dealer the next day. They told me the fluid used damaged the transmission. It took Oil Changers 5 months of run around before trying to say it wasn't their fault. I have records, the dealership has records.
