They changed my oil and rotated my tires quickly and efficiently. We were able to walk in and be seen immediately. They also put on a children's tv show for my son while we waited. WATCH OUT!!! If I had the option of rating a Zero or less, I would have. Oil Frogs will plug a tire's sidewall which is not supposed to be done, yet they did it. A few months later, my fairly new tire leaked from their installed plug. Negligent, and lacking integrity for a quick buck. I will NEVER step foot in the greasy place of irresponsible liars again!!! They deny their wrongdoing and stating that they advised me to buy a new tire but NEVER did, then had the audacity to respond to a BBB complaint that I filed, stating that I couldn't afford a new tire!!! Pure ignorance of those who lack accountability!!!! Oil Frogs, please enlighten yourselves and read below. "Keep in mind that whatever punctured your tire must be within the tire's tread width for a tire plug to work. Why 4 stars? Because of the convenience and friendliness. --- --- --- Oil Frogs must be on the newer-end, considering that this is their first Yelp review. I'm happy to say that I plan on calling this my standard oil change spot from now on. I was able to pull right in, and hang in the waiting room on a very comfortable couch. The oil change was probably completed in less than half an hour, which was definitely pretty awesome and exactly what I'm looking for. The previous place I used to go for my oil changes, always used to tell me that something was wrong with my car. It was always something different, and was always something that I would eventually find out was not actually needed. Hence, why I have been in the market for a new place to visit. At Oil Frogs, they did mention that something with my brakes needed to be replaced. I have no idea if that's true, but I've been conditioned to automatically believe it's just an attempt at an up-sell. The guy seemed nice enough, and didn't get pushy when I declined, so that definitely helped my piece of mind. Oil Frogs is located near the Home Depot off N Dale Mabry and can be hard to spot. We go here a lot for oil changes and they always do a great job and are fast! They have a waiting room with a TV, so you can just sit there and wait in the AC. I recently got my car detailed here too, and WOW, it looks brand new again! I'm never going anywhere else for detailing! They did such a spectacular job! Highly recommend!! read more

I have trust issues with mechanics and I am the only person to change my oil post warranty. My buddy suggested Oil Frogs because he doesn't know anything about mechanical stuff and gets his oil changed here. In Sept. 2021 I was travelling through Tampa so I stopped in and spoke with the mechanics about specifics. They assured me they knew what they were doing. They used my oil, filter and OEM Toyota Tundra oil plug washer. Recently I crawled under my truck to change the oil. The filter housing required a 1/2" drive breaker bar to remove. Pretty far from the 18 ft/#s spec. Then I noticed the oil plug washer with the old one stack with the new one I provided. And so we see why I have trust issues. read more

Super fast, and friendly! It's first come first served, so you may want to call ahead of time and see if they have a wait. Oil change included, fluid level checks and top offs, along with all the other misc stuff (tire pressure, blinker check, etc...). They also offer full detailing service. False advertising- they don't have any website, just a Facebook page. Their own Facebook page lists a full synthetic oil change for $64.99. Make the drive down there on a rainy day only to be told the price is $74.99. They said they never updated the Facebook page. Would not honor price. Hard pass for me. These guys are amazing I stopped in with my 2017 Jaguar XE 2.5t looking for an oil change, and honestly Jaguar oil changes are expensive (250$-300$), BUT they only had me rung up at 108, and they even topped off my coolant. These guys are amazing, extremely respectful, and most important to car owners, very honest, no up-sell at all. They let me know my options on oil and oil price and I picked that was it. They don't try to rip you off (and I work on my own cars & do my own oil change/etc but I just didn't have time to get around...got lazy) and the pricing is reasonable. The shop is behind steak and shake on Dale Maybry Highway and is owned by John Erb who has an automotive shop facing Dale Maybry. No appointment needed I've stopped by any day of the week most times and I've always had the pleasure of great customer service. These boys took such great care of me when I came back in they offered to check my battery my washer fluid they change the oil in my Lexus SUV for the same price as I can get at Pep Boys or other types of franchises. I've been a customer at the shop for several years since they've opened. I've always had great customer service fair prices. Support your local small business stop by. The guys were all very friendly and made sure I was 100% good to go on both fronts before I left. My car is running better and they made sure I had copies of everything for my insurance company. Oil Frogs... what more can I say? This is a good and reliable place to get your oil changed. The mechanics are friendly ( and more importantly) they are trustworthy. They will tell you if something else is going on with your car and will usually find a fix for it. The price range is pretty good, but think about two things before you go off on prices ( which are not that bad depending on your vehicle) - would you rather do it yourself and spend all afternoon or go to a shyster mechanic who will do more harm than good for a cheap price? These guys know what they are doing, they are honest, friendly and efficient, what more can you ask for? read more

This place is great! The mechanics are friendly, efficient and trustworthy. My husband took my car for an oil change a few weeks prior and I had to go back because the oil was low. My newer car has been burning through oil for some reason and they told him to bring it back in to get topped off for free if needed. Well not only did they top it off but also tried to fix the problem. They replaced a valve and put on a new filter all for free! I will definitely be going back and telling my friends about Oil Frogs! read more

The guy was nice came in twice suggesting additional things to be done! I declined when I left I hit the windshield wiper button to clean windows. The fluid was still empty they didn't fill it up! I had a receipt checked it was done! No reason for this they were not busy! read more

Brought my car for in for a required Esurance car inspection ON A SATURDAY. I was expecting to get the typical "ok lady have a seat and we will be with you in a bit" treatment. I came to this location thinking I needed an oil change because my check engine light had come on, and I thought it was because I was due for an oil change. My fiancee had recommended this place because she had her oil changed here the week before and said it was wonderful, and she was in and out in 15 minutes. I waited in the waiting room for about 5 minutes as I thought they were changing my oil, when the technician came in, showing me that the dipstick in his hands showed I had relatively clean oil, and he asked me "Are you sure you want your oil changed? It seems pretty clean." I was a bit confused, not knowing why, then, my check engine light was on, and they offered to diagnose it for free. He ran the code and then looked it up, all for free, and it turned out the engine light was due to a faulty gas cap that I simply needed to replace. I was perfectly willing to pay them for a new oil filter, new oil, and the labor involved, and I would have been none the wiser had that been what they did. Instead, they chose to take the HONEST APPROACH, and inform me I did not need any of that - instead, I just needed a new gas cap, which they do not sell. I went next door to the Advance Auto Parts, purchased a new gas cap, and then went back to Oil Frogs so they could deactivate the warning light. They also gave me a new sticker (the last one had faded) for my windshield to indicate when I would most likely need a real oil change, in about a thousand miles. They also topped off my other fluids, all for free, because my fiancee (who was with me) was a return customer. They also informed me it's their standard policy to top off all fluids in a car for return customers, for free. They did not charge me a single red cent for any of this. So, instead, I'm paying them back with this review. This business reminded me that honest businesses still exist, that seek to retain their customers "the old fashion way" - through honesty, integrity, and fairness. I will never go anywhere else for my oil changes as long as I live in Tampa, because of my experience today. read more

Their customer service is out of this world. I have an issue with my car that exceeds your typical oil change, they went out of their way to help me. The lever to open my hood is broken and Hector spent 50 minutes trying to get it open. He was extremely positive the entire time and made sure that he was going to get it open. They did not try to sell me additional products, only what I absolutely needed. I have an oil leak and came back a week later to get it checked and they remembered me and treated me like a valuable customer. They did not charge me at all.
