This used to be my favorite place to get my car maintenance done - I trusted the Owner, and I trusted his mechanics, and his price was always reasonable. On my most recent visit, I was dismayed to learn that the Owner had sold it to this new company. The new counter person was very friendly, helpful and efficient. He explained that they do a car inspection for free, and then let you know about any issues they may find, for you to take care of or not. He said the old place only fixed the problem, but didn't really look for anything else - I'm not sure how he would know this, but I didn't like him bashing the old owners. I received a call about 20 minutes after dropping my car off, telling me I also needed to get my filters replaced, plus I had a larger, more serious problem that needed to be addressed. I appreciated them finding this issue, and got a quote from them for the repair cost. It was so high, I decided to call another garage I like/use to see what their price would be. My car was ready before they said it would be, and they texted me like I requested them too, so that was all good. However, I paid WAY MORE than I did under the previous Owner. Also - I ended up taking my car into the other garage to get the larger problem fixed, and they charged me $200!!! less than this Firestone had quoted me. Our vehicles are always taken care of very quickly and all services are explained thoroughly to us. They were able to uber me home after dropping my car off AND followed through on their word that my car would be ready to pick up the next day by a specific time. We came here for the first time just to ask them to fill our tires, which they did immediately, for free, with a smile. So, a few months later a different place told us we needed new tires for $880 and a new battery for $380. We decided to try Keystone Firestone for a second opinion. They installed new tires - the same type that came with the car originally - for almost $200 less. And the battery? He said yes, it was bad, but the sticker indicated it might still be under warranty. I couldn't remember when we bought it, so he called Autozone because it was their brand, gave them my phone number, found out it was indeed under warranty, then sent me there where they replaced it for free. What a wonderful experience. I had my 60,000-mile checkup at my dealer, and they said they had installed the new windshield wipers I requested. They did not! I called Keystone Plaza Firestone and they said they could order the correct windshield wipers in about 20 minutes. When I arrived, the part was waiting for me. I picked up a screw in my tire last night and needed to get it fixed ASAP as it was losing air fast. I stopped in this morning and they fit me right without an appointment. My husband took his Jeep there for the AC to be serviced and they forgot to attach the airbags and bolt down the brakes. Luckily, my husband was driving and knew to pull the emergency brake. They were pretty flippant about the fact that my 17 yr old son had been driving the car not 30 mins before my husband. I can tell you that he would have wrecked and hurt himself or someone else. When we confronted them they said that "nothing happened" so they did not feel the need to give us back some of our money on the AC service when they turned our Jeep into a near death trap!! read more

The Mazda dealership told us we had to replace the brake pads right away on my wife's car. I was suspicious because we bought it new 4 years ago and hardly drive it. So I took it in to Keystone Plaza Firestone for a second opinion (because we've been swindled by the dealership before) and were told the brake pads were fine and didn't need replacing yet. Had they told me they were worn down I would probably have had them replaced. Good to know the guys here are honest. I'll definitely be back when they do need changing. read more

My daughter's car was leaking coolant in a specific spot. Brought it to Keystone Plaza Firestone in hopes they could replace the plastic part that had cracked and where the coolant was leaking from. We did not have an appointment. They were able to not only get the part but got it replaced and back to us the next day! And did an oil change!! This particular Firestone also found the problem to the slow leak in one of the fairly new tires on the same vehicle and repaired it for a very low price. Prior to Firestone, we had taken it back to the place we bought the tires from on two different occasions with no luck on them fixing it. We also had our go to dealership see if they could find the problem and they could not. Keystone Plaza Firestone has helped us twice now with our daughter's car. They are friendly, efficient, and reasonably priced. We will continue to take our vehicles there (that aren't otherwise under warranty). read more

This place is a rip off. My most recent visit was for a grinding sound when I applied my breaks. Ron told me and showed me it was the rods even though I had recently had the front breaks done. I questioned why it wasn't noticed at that time and his answer was "if they were bad then we would have told you then". My neighbor heard me driving by with the grinding sound and suggested it was the rear breaks. So I'm sure the tie rods didn't need to be replaced it was simply the rear breaks. Keystone Plaza Firestone is located on Gunn Highway extended (about a mile north of Sickles High School) in Odessa. This is a privately-owned franchise, and not to be confused with the folks that run the Citrus Park Firestone (company-owned store). Keystone is my go-to place for auto repair service -- anything from a simple oil change, tune-up, and tires, all the way up to complex brake jobs, transmission overhauls, etc. I've found them to be very fair with their pricing and extremely honest about my options for solving any issues. These guys have been keeping my SUV running for the past ten years, and I am extremely satisfied with their service. A bit out of the way for some people, but well worth the inconvenience if you're looking for some excellent mechanics. read more

We now live in the Westchase area and go to Keystone Plaza Firestone. They came highly recommended by several people in the area. Well I never thought I would find a better crew than in Dunedin...but I did. They are EXCELLENT. Sometimes...just when you think there is no good left in the world...last week I was hurrying out to run some errands before picking up grandkids from school when I discovered that my tire was flat. Not just flat....FLAT. And my husband was out of town. And I didn't have time to wait forever for Roadside Assistance. And I have no idea how to change a flat tire. So I called the guys at Keystone Plaza Firestone near my house. I explained what was going on...right down to the part where I needed to pick up the grandkids....in about ten minutes a guy arrived at my house, took the tire off, took it back to Firestone and fixed it, brought it BACK to my house, put it back on....and told me I did not need to pay him anything!!!!! Of course I couldn't do that...but the fact that he SAID it was amazing!!!! There are many good people in the world...and some of them are right in your own back yard.
