Nigiri: scallop, salmon, sweet shrimp

Service: excellent! Food: good! Ambiance: clean, comfortable, and plenty of seating I came here with a friend and we chose AYCE sushi. There were a lot of items to choose from, and ordering was easy with pictures in the menu. I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty and fresh everything was! The fried oysters were crispy and not fishy at all, the salmon carpaccio was flavorful, and the sashimi had decent rice to fish ratio (for an ayce restaurant). I would definitely come back and recommend Oishii.

Shrimp hibachi

Stopped by this restaurant on a Sunday afternoon. I didn't get the AYCE, but I ordered hibachi chicken, fried rice, and shrimp tempura. The server brought me shrimp hibachi by accident, but all three dishes were delicious. $30 was a little pricey for the size of the dishes, but the food was good, the server was nice, and the atmosphere was pleasant. Would definitely like to come back to try the all you can eat.

Oishii Sushi's AYCE is definitely worth the price if you like sashimi and nigiri. They offer a pretty great variety compared to other ayce sushi spots in the Twin Cities and surrounding suburbs. They have some daily specials that are limited to one order per person ie. Raw oysters on Wednesdays and at times can be busy so I would recommend reservations for dinner time.

We came for a birthday meal, and loved it! The food is super fresh, tons of variety on the menu, and the rolls were all delicious. Service was amazing. Our server was gracious, prompt, and never rushed us. Ambience is cozy and clean. Booths and tables, with an open feel. Felt very inviting and clean. We would love to be back again!

Drove out of my way just to try their AYCE sushi for the first time and OMG Oishii did not disappoint! I'm very picky when it comes to the taste and freshness of seafood, and they WOW-ed me. Their space is cute and clean, you can see chefs prepping your food why waiting! Food was so fresh, you can literally tastes how naturally sweet and chewy the raw ingredients are. The cooked rolls are yummy too, and appetizers were absolutely delicious. Very fresh oysters and squid, we had to order twice. Desserts are not too sweet and super refreshing. You HAVE TO try their dragon balls, the spicy tuna was so fresh and well-seasoned, you can imagine you're by the ocean every bite 10/10 experience. They do have a no tip system since 15% gratuity is already included in dine-in bills. Pricing is fair just roughly as much as many places in the Twins Cities for AYCE. I would definitely come back to try other dishes like noodles and more sashimi that I was way too full to try last time!

Hands down the best sushi/sashimi restaurant in the entire Midwest. I've eaten my share, but this all you can eat establishment probably may be better than restaurants to serve it à la carte. I highly recommend everyone to try this place and you will be addicted. I was actually surprised that there's a place of this quality in Minnesota!

We went to check out this new all you can eat sushi restaurant. We went during dinner, it's about $40 per person. Reservations recommended for bigger parties, otherwise get on the wait list for current time. Variety of sushi rolls, sashimi, and raw appetizers. Also cooked food is available. We ordered so much appetizers and sashimi that we weren't sure about ordering sushi, might be too full for the rice. Restaurant has a big sushi station in the middle. Seating area to the left and right. Parking lot is pretty big but shares with other businesses, might have a far walk.

I went here with my parents, as we like to try all the sushi places. It looks small, but there's a whole back area where there is a good amount of seating. Our server was very nice and patient with all our questions and requests. We were able to ask for partial orders or less rice on things. She even warned us about the hot tea, which is included! I thought the food was pretty good, but it is extremely heavy. Normally we order a few rounds of food, but we barely made it through one. The big mistake was the sushi tacos, those things are packed! I would say, ask for less rice on things and order in moderation.

I've been hearing such excellent things about Oishii Sushi from my family, so had to check it out for myself. I'm not big on sushi like my family, but I like it a little bit, however, they offer more than just sushi (incase you're wondering). It's all you can eat. I'd suggest coming during lunch as it's half the price then dinner. The menu is lengthy and they have photos as well. Food is fresh and made to order. Restaurant is clean and bright. Service was wonderful and our server was happy and funny as well. We left satisfied. One thing I really appreciated was being able to order a 1/2 order of shrimp hibachi. This was perfect because I knew I couldn't eat a full order and I didn't want to waste the food. I'll definitely be back and continue to recommend this hidden Lake Elmo gem!

Just saw a billboard while driving and decided to pull over. Very impressed with the quality of the food, speed of service, and most importantly the price. It's free for 3 and below, 50% off until 10 but wow was it worth it. It has more selections than most, it's fresher than most, I thoroughly enjoyed the fried oysters. I told my family that we found a new place to go for my birthday tradition now.

We are regulars at other local 'all you can eat' sushi restaurants and must say: this is our new go-to spot. Highlights: Salmon sashimi is served thick, beautiful fatty marbling, so delicious Onion soup had great flavor, not overly salty and lots of fresh, thin-cut mushroom Yellowtail Jalapeno app: very surprised this was on the all you can eat menu, typically this is excluded. This is my favorite Japanese app and this place does it justice! So good. Gyoza is one of the best I've had, perfect crusty breading and the sauce was great, again: not too salty Loved the kani salad, they add fresh tuna which was a great compliment The seaweed salad had no tangyness, this is typically a hit or miss: def hit here. They add cucumber which again, great compliment to the seaweed We had a few other apps that were enjoyable but the above mentioned were our highlights. There wasn't anything we didn't enjoy, but these will be our go-tos next time we visit! Parking is super easy, staff was kind and took care to ensure accuracy. Great ambiance and very clean. Food presentation was done with care!

My wife and I made a reservation for 4:30 PM. When we arrived, we were greeted by a lady who informed us that the restaurant closes from 2:30 PM until 4:30 PM. She kindly told us we could wait in the waiting area since we were about 15 minutes early. As we waited, we noticed how nicely decorated the restaurant was, and we grew even more excited to see the rest of the space, as additional seating is located around the corner and out of sight from the entrance. When we were finally seated, we were pleasantly surprised at how beautiful the restaurant was. The seating, lighting, and table setup were all very well thought out and really set the mood for what we hoped would be a great evening. However, we were a bit disappointed when we told our server, Sally, that we wanted our calamari appetizer to come out first so we could enjoy it before the rest of our food, and things didn't go quite as planned. The first thing that arrived at our table was the udon noodles my wife had ordered as her entrée. We asked Sally to check on the calamari, and it arrived about five minutes later. I understand the restaurant is new, and there will be growing pains, so I didn't worry too much about the food coming out of order. Shortly after the calamari arrived, our sushi rolls came out, which wasn't exactly the flow we were expecting either. I did voice my displeasure to Sally, just to make them aware. That being said, once all the food was on the table, we were pleasantly surprised. Everything was delicious--the sushi rolls were wonderfully flavorful, and the udon noodles were outstanding. We finished everything on our plates! After our meal, we visited the restroom and were impressed by how well it was set up. Everything was automatic--the soap dispenser, water faucet, and even a Dyson hand-drying unit. All in all, while they made some mistakes, it was their first day, so we won't complain. I definitely recommend making a reservation, as I have a strong feeling this place is going to get very busy very soon.

This new spot is very nice conveniently located off the freeway. I went there for AYCE lunch and surprised to find out it comes with a drink! The quality of the sushi is good and server was attentive and funny. The only thing you can't order for lunch off the menu is the sashimi platter, but everything else is a go. I didn't care for the ramen because the noodles were stuck together as if it was overcooked. The sushi taco had a lot of rice as filling so next time I would probably skip that as well. Definitely will go back. Inside is very spacious and has tables and booths.

Date night! Hajime in Elk River is a solid local spot if you're craving Japanese food. I ordered…read morethe filet mignon hibachi and my husband went with the spicy crab roll and the Anchor's Tattoo roll. Everything we had was flavorful and fresh - the hibachi was especially delicious, even if it wasn't the full show-style experience you might expect from a traditional hibachi place. The rolls were well-prepared, with good texture and balance. Service was friendly and quick, and our food came out without much wait, which is always a plus. That said, the interior could definitely use some updates. The decor and furniture feel worn and outdated, which stands out more when you consider the price point. It's not enough to ruin the experience, but a little refresh could go a long way. A few small things: the spinach salad served with the hibachi wasn't my favorite - the dressing was a bit off for my taste - and I missed the usual mushroom soup that typically comes with hibachi meals. Also, a heads-up to fellow diners: the fried rice came with chicken by default, which wasn't listed, and I would've preferred the plain white rice instead. All in all, Hajime delivers on food quality and service. With some minor adjustments and a facelift inside, it could easily be a standout. We'll be back!
