He used an ultra Matte sheen from Bona and it was exactly what we wanted. They were beyond excellent! We were actually debating covering the floors with a wide plank laminate, because I had no idea how modern and gorgeous they could look. Two family members took a look and are calling him. We had other quotes and their price was the lowest. So kind and easy to work with as well. They helped move the heavy furniture out of the way and even broke up the job for us so we could store the furniture in one of the rooms. This is something a competitor said he wouldn't do. Tony is a really straight up guy. I've called a lot of businesses and none of them responded like Tony did. He immediately asked for pictures of the repair needed and gives us the ballpark estimate (to be fair, the rest of the other businesses also did), but what makes Tony stand out is he immediately told us that he was available to take a look at the damage and give us a quote (which none of the other businesses did.) Another exceptional thing he did was he thought of what we needed instead of what he can charge. To put in perspective, we had a water damage stain that was about two feet by two feet. The other businesses thought the job was too small for them to handle, so they insisted that the job would require replacing the floor of the entire room, regardless the condition of the floor, stating they would be unable to match the color of the wood no matter what they did. For Tony, he did exactly what we needed and charged accordingly. He immediately discerned the issue (nails not driven to the correct depth or in the correct position by other installers two years ago) and had a frank discussion about repair versus re-installation. I didn't feel pushed to reinstall, but was impressed by his professional approach and obvious subject-matter expertise. We ended up re-installing and I could not be happier with the result.
