My husband and I did a 90s photoshoot for our anniversary and we had such a great time! From the very beginning (making appointments, choosing packages, taking photos, choosing photos after), Tony gave us such friendly experience. He was also so funny and made us laugh throughout the photoshoot. He gave us such great ideas for poses and we loved the whole outcome. Such a great price also for such amazing photos! It was between this place or another, and after looking at the photo quality, I chose OK 1 hr photo. I'm so glad I chose this place. First of all, Tony is HILARIOUS. He makes you feel comfortable while you're shooting your photos. And the whole process of taking these 90s throwback glamour photos was SO FUN!!! Not a lot of places offer these types of photos so it was great to find this gem. We opted for the 3 poses and also got the photos on a cup for keepsake. Worth it to get the retouch if you want to fix a few things in your photos :) Thank you Tony for the amazing and memorable experience! Can't wait to be back! read more

This place does a great job with passport photos. The owner also does location photoshoots and he is really nice and very affordable. I always bring everyone here whenever anyone needs passport pictures. You get 4 pictures instead of 2 and he gives you options. We always come back. The first time I went to OK 1 Hr Photo, Tony was personable and printed my photos without issue. The prints came out well, and the price was reasonable, especially considering there aren't many "one-hour" photo places left anymore. He said he even color corrected them without charge. He was very conversational, sharing some history about the transition from film to digital, talking about how state-of-the-art his printers were, and inviting me to come back anytime. It felt like a testament to small-business survival. A few months later, my second visit was a very different experience. He was curt and quoted a much higher price for prints, clearly a "go-away" price. He explained that he doesn't really make money on prints and would rather focus on studio work, which is more profitable. At least he was honest, but if the business is shifting its focus to studio work, the name should probably change. read more

Came here to take some passport photos. The business was popping the day I went and there was a bit of a wait. The service itself was pretty fast though. He snapped my photos with a few options. Let me pick which one I liked. I did get their retouch option as well. After that I just waited 15 minutes and they were done! I dont remember the exact price but it felt fairly cheap at the time. The guy was pretty funny and easy to talk to. Since I was wearing a white top, the guy did warn me that it may blend with the passport photo, so hope that helps others who need to take their passport pics! I grabbed a new battery, and bought my first roll(It was Portra 400). From there, it was all routine: shoot a roll, turn it in before 1pm on Tuesday to get it returned by the end of the week, ask what worked and what didn't get exposed correctly(which happened a lot my first year). Mark and Frankie fielded all of my questions and conversations with wisdom and grace, about the Mamiyas that cycled through the shop, about how to correctly use an off-camera flash on a film camera(though I've failed many a time), about how quickly film was coming back and how many new shooters began to pursue celluloid dreams. I'm not so close by anymore but I'll always remember what this place has given me and countless others. What Mark has left behind in Powell Camera is something that stands beyond its store walls. There's millions of memories here developed, scanned, printed, and returned all over. While I may have been just one of thousands of passing faces, Mark to me was a steward of the craft, someone so unforgettable and tied to the medium here that won't soon be forgotten. Now is no better time to support brick-and-mortar shops like this one. Shoot film, change the world, let light keep your memories tangible.

Me and my partner went on a Valentine's evening and one of the booths was not operating properly. Other than for cleanliness, I think they need to consider having an employee here to make sure the photo booths are all properly operating, especially on a busy holiday. Overall I really like Life4Cuts normally, but this location was looking grody. Wouldn't come back to this one.

Some backstory...Imagix/Michelle has done our yearly photos for our son from ages 1 to now 5. (See my past reviews). From somehow capturing a perfect moment from our perpetually moving blur of a son (ages 1-3) to patiently instructing four 70/80 year olds on how to hold their aforementioned 4 year old Tasmanian Devil grandson last year, Michelle is a magician/artist...I always leave the photoshoot stressed from the chaos Hurricane Daniel (our son) leaves in his wake....But every year we come back to look at the proofs and are amazed at Michelle ability to capture "lighting in a bottle" . This year was no different. Fortunately we survived the terrible 2's (...3's....4's....) and thanks to time, maturity, and the opposite of gentle parenting, our little Daniel, though far from perfect, is manageable. But we didn't want to make it too easy for Michelle, so we threw in another variable. After a recent canine cancer scare, and recently learning from Google that all dogs, however loyal and cute, unfortunately have an inescapable life, span, I somehow convinced my beautiful but camera shy wife that this is the year we do a family photo with our dog. Some more backstory, if you read this far, our Yorkie, Libby, loves us but HATES the rest of the world. She spent the entire hour photoshoot in perpetual scowl and Volume 11 non stop bark. One week later as she always does, lighting in a bottle perfection. I looked at the proofs with amazement. Our son, we expected....she's done it every year, but how she made a loud perpetual yapping bark into a impossibly cute smile is above my skill set. But I think her greatest feat is how she lessened the "he must be rich" looks gap between my wife and I. My wife is easy, even me with my amateur Android skills, it's hard for her to take a bad picture. Michelle mastery came with how she elevated me to "he must be funny" looks gap level. So why the tear? We loved one of the pics so much we purchased a large framed canvas print to hang on our living room wall. My 85 year old happened to be in town for his grandsons 5th bday so I asked him for an helping hand hanging the picture. I figured he has these family portrait hanging at my childhood home. My brother and I with our full head of hair and my mom shoulder pads captured the 90's to a tee...but what I always remember is the "proud" look my dad had on his face. A look of accomplishment shouting "look at me world and all that I love and created". Watching my aging dad struggle, listing to my aging dog bark in a locked room to protect my dad's ankles, I was suddenly reminded that time, as much as you want to hit pause, always moves forward. It's a good idea to stop and smell the roses, or in this case, look at the snapshot/memories/moments and take it all in. You can easily grab a bite around here and shop before or after. I love it that there is a Ranch 99 supermarket inside this mall, the most clean branch I have ever been. I am glad I finally made it here this past weekend for a visit.

This is where the former BKK landfill used to be which is now morphed into this shopping center. The stores in this shopping center include: Target, Chronic Tacos, Fresh N Easy, El Pollo Loco, Panda Express, Round Table Pizza, Wendy's, Quickly, Starbucks, Jamba Juice, Home Depot, PetSmart, Staples, GameStop, Verizon Wireless, and Happy Nails. Keep in mind that the four-way intersection here can be one of the worst. Some people don't follow stop signs. There's also people that make "invisible stop signs" on lanes where they actually have the right of way to just go. Now everyone gets confused. It's never really that busy but the whole caterpillar line of cars extending from the stoplights makes it seem so. It's best to have patience otherwise you'd come out of there pretty angry. If there is extreme traffic and I really need to exit, I just go all the way out to the far end of the shopping center (where Ruby Tuesdays used to be) and make a right from there. Overall, this is a decent shopping center with a bit of variety. It's viciously local to me so it's very convenient!

It's in a pretty central location in the SGV and there was plenty of street parking. I read there's a parking lot but I didn't find it - but like I said - plenty of street parking. There was a Yelp Elite event going on but I wasn't part of it this time - just came out to support some local businesses! It's free to enter but they ask that you reserve free tickets on Eventbrite - not sure why though bc there's no check in area or anything - I reserved 3 tickets for my party but couldn't find where we needed to show them - you basically just walk in. Very very similar to the local farmers markets that you'd find in places like Old Town Monrovia etc.

We opted to try the Korean BBQ from GOCHU Gang. It was very delicious! You can definitely smell it from afar. The only thing was they didn't have their prices or what's on the menu listed on a stand. They did say they had a online menu but there is no posts with a QR code. So we just blindly ordered essentially and asked what they recommended. There were a few stands with dessert such as the cookies from Crackle n Puff and crepes. I do wish the night market was bigger. There weren't many things to see and the stands that were there were very selective. Night markets are usually more successful when there is a variety of stands. Overall, it was cute and small. If you're into a small and free night markets, it would be a cute night out. We spent about a little over an hour there. Just don't have super high expectations like the large night markets.

Today was my second time visiting OK Photo for my passport needs. Tony is the best and will make you look amazing! The first time I did passport photos with Tony was two years ago for my US Passport. He is such a professional and shoots multiple shots so that you can find a photo that you truly love. I have minor eczema on my face, so I was super happy that Tony could do some minor touchups to remove some of the redness on my face and even out my skin tone. Today I visited Tony again because I needed to do Taiwan Passport photos. I was so happy that OK Photo was open because Taiwan has different passport photo requirements and I needed a professional who was familiar with the different dimensions and different government regulations to make sure my photos are accepted. I was happy that OK Photo was only accepting clients by appointment so that I did not have to worry so much with Covid-19. Tony was great with social distancing and we were able to complete the entire shoot without ever breaking CDC guidelines. You can tell that Tony really cares about his customer's health and takes all the precautions necessary to ensure everyone's safety. Once again, Tony made me look fantastic! I think we took 10-12 different shots and we found one that looked great! I still have the minor eczema and once again, with Tony's touchup magic, I left feeling like a movie star. read more

BEST place to go to for passport photos. I should have gone to Ok 1 Hr Photo from the beginning and saved myself the trouble and money, but I live kinda far from here so I went to a studio near my house. Biggest mistake of my life. They were so rude and I couldn't even smile naturally because I felt so uncomfortable. The photo they gave me was dark, low quality, the lighting was bright only on one side, and used the wrong photo paper. And they charged me $20 for the P.O.S.!! Tony is great. He's fast, friendly, and a magician on photoshop. It's $9.95 for a set of 4 passport photos, plus extra $5 for touch up. Trust me, the extra money spent for retouching is WELL worth the money. I highly recommend it. Tony is amazing on photoshop lol. I really appreciated that Tony takes you through every step so I can make changes as we go along. The other place, they made me wait for like 30 minutes on a couch while they did who knows what in the back room. I was extremely happy and satisfied with the final photos. The lighting was bright, my smile was relaxed and happy, and my skin looked great! I will be coming here for all my photo needs and recommending all my friends and family to go here. I love how my pictures came out. I have not been here in years. I use to come here as a kid to get all pictures did. Tony is amazing still even after all these years. I appreciate the work an time he takes to make my photos be a beautiful perfection. I will be back soon so I can do my kids photo shoot. My photos are amazing. We went to this place because they had good reviews. And sure enough, Tony is the best! He is friendly, great customer service and he knows what he is doing. He will take the picture until you are satisfied. He even corrects the photo, I looked so much better in the photo! We had our passport pictures taken there. LITERALLY THE BEST EXPERIENCE IVE EVER HAD WITH PHOTOGRAPHY. My best friend and I went in to take 90's themed photos for her birthday and he was very helpful and funny right off the bat. I had come here during christmas for my kids photos and man was i impressed. This guy named Tony is the best.
